Kagirinai pushed his glasses up as he made his way through the forest. He fiddled with the pokeballs in his lab coat containing his companions Elekid, Tauros, Nidorino, Petilil and his newly hatched Wynaut. His Nidorino Dokuton was plenty strong now he needed to boost the strength of his other pokemon especially Petilil and Wynaut as they were currently the weakest on his team especially Wynaut since he was freshly hatched the other day. He followed the never ending winding path through the forest keeping an eye out for any pokemon he may come across. He was particularly after either a ghost, dark or a flying type pokemon to add to his team. He would need to later go down to the beach in search of a water type before heading to the lava cave for a fire type pokemon. For now he would keep to the forest and level up that way coming across what pokemon he could find before changing his locations. Perhaps he would save levelling Petilil up until he reached the beach she would work well against water types being a grass type.
Kagirinai yawned as he surveyed the terrain and approached a bush inspecting it as he crouched down. He parted the bush and inspected the ground using his hand to dust it away as if looking for someone, anything as long as he found someone. He stood up and moved on further down the road after dusting his hands off of dirt and dust. He cracked his neck as he made his way deeper into the forest.

A lone Slakoth had been resting in a tree up ahead. He had had a long morning of eating, and he was exhausted. Unconsciously, he rolled over in his sleep. Unfortunately, he rolled in the wrong direction and fell off the tree. He did not wake up as he fell through the air. Unfortunately for the training coming close, the Pokemon was poised to land right on top of them. The Slakoth would surely wake up after that.

Kagirinai blinked as he felt something touch his head before he began to fall backwards. He hit the ground causing dust to rise up covering the ends of his lab coat with dirt. He slowly stood up and looked down at the Slakoth that had landed atop of him and caused him to fall. He took a few steps back as he pulled a pokeball out of his pocket, "How intriguing" spoke Kagirinai as the pokeball expanded and a beam of light shot out revealing his Elekid, "Raiden leer and low kick" commanded the scientist deciding to try and catch this Slakoth. Raiden stared down at his opponent using his leer to try and lower the enemy pokemons defence before he charged forth and leapt towards him aiming to kick the Slakoth with his right foot. The Slakoth woke up upon hitting the trainer's head. He fell to the ground in front of him. he blinked his eyes open and looked around. What was going on? before he could figure out his surroundings and realize why he was no longer in a tree, he was being attacked by an Elekid. Just as he had stood up, the Low Kick caused him to fall back again. That guy wanted to battle? Fine. He would have a battle. The Slakoth held in a yawn as he moved forward to use Scratch.

Raiden held back a cry of pain as he was sent sliding back across the ground a good three feet from the Slakoth after having been struck by the normal pokemons scratch attack. Raiden glared before catching the call of his trainer, "Leer, Low Kick". Raiden sneered forth delivering his leer to the foe pokemon. He was Raiden named after the God of Thunder! He would not be beat at all. Raiden charged forth moving across the ground before he leapt towards the Slakoth using his low kick, being it a fighting type move and the foe a normal type it would help him win this battle quicker. The Slakoth was pleased that his Scratch had worked. He stepped back and waited for a counter-attack. He was hit by another Low Kick, falling to the ground. That was no fun. Though he should have been wide awake, he found he was still tired. He was so tired, in fact, that he let out a large Yawn, which could put the Elekid to sleep.

Elekid sneered as the Slakoth hit him with a loud yawn that caused him to yawn as a result. This wasn't good, if he didn't make a strong enough blow this turn he wouldn't be able to attack back in the next as he would be asleep. He quickly used his leer to lower the normal pokemons defence in order to give his attack a better chance of doing increased damaged. Elekid preceded to charge forth towards the Elekid he could feel himself becoming drowsy but he fought it off as he lunged in for a low kick hoping to do as much damage as he could. The Slakoth was struck for a third time. He grunted as he slowly stood up. This one seemed to have a bit more energy in it, but he was still able to stand. He hoped his Yawn would take effect soon. It would help him out a lot. For now, it was back to his damaging attack. He held out his right claw as he ran forward to strike his opponent. He wondered how long this battle would take. He wanted to get back to napping.

Elekid sailed through the air as the scratch connected. His eyes shut tight as he hit the ground with a thud. He didn't stand he simply laid their a small snore escaping from his lips. Kagirinai sighed and approached the electric type removing an awakening from his bag, he also ensured he had a number of status healing items on his person. He sprayed the sleeping pokemon with the potion causing him to jump up and glare at the Slakoth for having done such a thing. He gave a battle cry and lunged forth to kick the Slakoth with his low kick. Kagirinai made a note to buy more status healers. The Slakoth grumbled to himself when the trainer managed to awaken his Pokemon. Well, if that was how it was going to be, he would just have to put him to sleep again! His thoughts were torn away from him when he was hit by Low Kick once again. Grunting, he stood up and yawned.

Elekid scowled as the Slakoth used its yawn again. He sneered as he leered forth to lower the Slakoth's defence again in order to increase the powerful strength of his low kick attack. Elekid then sped forth in order to slam into the normal pokemon with his low kick again. The Slakoth froze as the Leer affected him. He had no time to dodge the next attack. With a small "oof," the Pokemon fell tot he ground and was unable to get back up. He gave up and slipped into unconsciousness, glad to finally have a chance to rest.

Raijin leapt into the air with a victorious battle cry as he had defeated the Slakoth. He leapt about cheering himself on for winning the battle and getting stronger. Kagirinai ignored the cries of his cheering Elekid and removed a pokeball from his lap coat. The pokeball enlarged in size before he threw it towards the Slakoth in the attempt to capture it. A Vigoroth and later a Slaking would made good additions to his team.

The ball opened and sucked the Slakoth inside. It wobbled back and forth three times before becoming still. Caught.

Kagirinai crouched down picking the pokeball up and slipping it into his lab coat. He pulled out Elekid's pokeball extending it returning the electric type back to the confines of the sphere. He grabbed the next pokeball and threw it up into the air where it hit the ground and split open. In a beam of light one of his new pokemon appear the grass type Petilil affectionately named Haruko. Haruko leapt up onto Kagirinai's shoulder as he headed down the path to continue his exploration in the hopes of increasing the strength of the grass type pokemon. Level: 5 Gender: Female
