It was a crystal clear saturday, the sun was holding itself high in the sky, the birds where chirping with glee. what better a day to take a walk in the forest with your deer pokémon? It had been at least a week upon Eve's arrival at cherilli and he couldn't have been happier with his decision to choose Leila as his first pokémon, she was kind, charming, and rather bold too. A perfect match for Eve. <It's such a beautiful day outside!" Leila said, running around Eve excitedly. Eve laughed and said "Calm down Leila! we're going on a mid-morning stroll, not a race to the end of the forest"
<I just feel so rejuvenated whenever I soak up the suns rays on a hot day, it makes me so happy!" Leila replies still bouncing around Eve, who continued laughing. He looked around the forest, all the wild pokémon hoping or flying from tree to tree having some fun in the sun, it was very active indeed. "I should really spend more time outside!" Eve claimed, amazed.
<yeah! you should! the forest is such a nice place! I almost want to live here forever, but then I wouldn't get the luxury of a trainer taking care of my every whim> Leila joked, coming into a slow trot to Eve's right.
"ha, yeah. I suppose it would be nice for someone to feed you and make sure you're healthy. Maybe I should get a butler!" Eve said loudly.

The forest had been a nice place that day until a trainer and his pokemon came about being nosy which woke up the Bulbasaur who thought he was some type of guardian of the forest. Stirring from his sleep the bulb pokemon shot his eyes open and was up on his feet in a quick jerk. Now, he didn't mind humans and their pokemon, he just didn't want them hanging around the forest making trouble and stealing his friends away. Something that some of those friends like another him, others not so much for he has chased off trainers from pokemon who wanted to be caught before, mostly the younger ones. Still some of that chasing off though had to do with him being jealous, he would never say it out loud, but he was jealous of all those pokemon with trainers. He wanted to be a strong powerful pokemon one day, that way he could really protect all his friends. For now though he would just have to make himself stronger by challenging and chasing away any and all trainers that enter his part of the forest. So that was what he did. He stepped out in front of the trainer and his pokemon, and was awe struck when he laid his eyes of the most beautiful pokemon he had ever seen. The lovesick look lurked in his face for a moment before he shook his head and became serious. <Trainer! You shall not pass! You shall fight me and when you lose you shall leave, but you shall also free the goddess you have under your control!> Did he just call the Deerling a goddess? Yes, yes he did. He then stood there ready to fight.  Species: Bulbasaur Gender: Male Level: 6 |

While walking, Eve noticed a sleeping bulbasaur, it looked extremely cute while sleeping, but apparently Eve and Leila where a little too loud for the bulbasaur, for it woke up and started babbling on about battling and forests and goddesses. apparently it thought it was some sort of guardian of the area, and was in love with Leila for whatever reason by the way it looked. "Aww, you're just the cutest thing. I wanna keep you! So, let's battle!" Eve said enthusiastically. < Well, hello there! I suppose we have to fight each other now> Leila said blushing a little bit. She, surprisingly enough, liked the little bulbasaur too. It was so handsome and brave! taking on such an opponent. It almost made the love struck Deerling swoon. But, he was an enemy for now, and could not and would not tolerate affairs with the enemy. Not when the faith of her master relying on it! The forest around him was a buzz in his ears, any pokemon that had been looking on was lost on him. At the current moment all the Bulbasaur could think about was saving this lovely goddess from the likes of the yellow haired human. He would be her knight in green armor and together they would run off into the sunset. Right after he defeate- wait what? He was using her to battle? He would have to attack his lady? The look upon his face was that of disbelief, clearly he didn't want to hurt her, but after looking between the two for a moment his face changed. Standing proud he got himself ready. In order to save her from the trainer, and set her free he would just have to defeat her. Heartbreaking, but something that would just have to happen. Standing ready, he let out a low growl, trying to scare them both into backing down and defaulting to him. Did he truly think it would work? Eve watched as the bulbasaur let out a ferocious growl that made Leila back away for a second. Man, this thing is really set on defeating us, it must be a level or two higher then Leila, how are we going to handle this? "All right, don't let that case you. You can do it! Use tackle attack, Leila!"[/color]Eve encouraged, putting all of his faith in his precious deerling. Eve watched as Leila, fearlessly, bounded towards the bulbasaur, rearing up for a tackle attack. Then she did, putting her head down and charging towards the bulbasaur. "Yeah! Let's go leila! I believe!" Eve chanted excited to have his first ever pokémon battle.

As he saw his darling or soon to be darling backing away the bulb pokemon was filled with a mixture of emotions. Both pride, and sadness pinged in his heart. He was proud that he was showing them who's part of the forest they where in, but sad that he had to fight and scare his beloved Deerling. Yet while he pondered on a way to get her away from the yellowed headed boy, his mind had gone away from the battle at hand. That was went he was hit by the tackle. Being pushed backwards he felt her power, and was impressed. <You are strong, but remember that is all you and has nothing to do with that human. Soon you will be free and we shall show the world just how strong we are together!> He said in a confident voice to the deer as he dug in his heels, in order to stop himself from crashing into a tree. Then he pushed off on the back of his feet to race forwards towards her in his own tackle attack. As he got closer he too lowered his head, aiming to use his forehead as a battering ram. She showed him how strong she was, now was his turn to return the favor. Though he aimed fro her side and in a spot thought hopefully wouldn't give her so much pain she would hate him. The bulbasaur's tackle was so powerful! Eve and Leila were definitely under-leveled for this fight. I guess we'll just have to go with the ol' stat reducing technique Eve concluded in his head. Then, Eve became confused for a second, what was all this about freeing Leila from Eve and being together with that incredibly cute bulbasaur. It was all very, very odd. "What in the world are you talking about?Leila likes being with me! We're friends, I didn't capture this lovely pokémon to be my princess or anything like that. Maybe once I catch you, you'll understand! But first, let's go for a growl! Eve said, forming his plan as he went. It was a longshot, but if he could lower that bulbasaurs attack stat enough with growl, this bulbasaur's attacks might do enough damage to keep Leila alive while beating the pokémon and capturing it at the same time! <Ay sir!> Leila responded and letting a fierce growl come out of her mouth. Blah blah blah, blah. That was all the grass poison pokemon was hearing, honestly he could care less what the yellow headed human had to say. All that he cared about was freeing the lovely Deerling and being her knight in green armor for the rest of their days. He could see them both growing strong together, her becoming a dazzling Sawsbuck, and him becoming a mighty and powerful Venusaur. Together they would defend the forest and adopt all the little abandoned children or children who's parents had been stolen away by heartless trainers catching them. Shaking his head, Bulbasaur snapped back into the real world from his daydream of an ideal and prefect future with his beloved. It was at that moment that he took the full force of the growl. Stepping back he was a little surprise she could manage such a growl, but bravely he stepped back up before bending on his front legs and letting out a growl of his own. Now even though he hadn't taken any damage this turn, he attempted to give some by running towards her for a tackle. As he moved he could feel that his attack was different, that her growl had lowered it some. Well that just meant that they where hopefully have a good battle then. He sure hoped so at least. Leila took the double attack rather well, she could sense that her attack powers where weakened even more then before, but she could also sense a weakening in her true love, and therefore didn't get hit as hard <Hey! that wasn't fair! he attacked twice!> Leila complained to Eve. The deer pokémon had no idea you could do two moves in one battle turn! there was so much to learn about this crazy new world she lived in, it was rather exciting. "Don't worry about it, we'll just hit him right back, with everything we've got! Use growl and then a tackle attack!" Eve said, copying the bulbasaur's moves. He found it interesting, this connection between two forest pokémon. <Ay, sir!> Leila responded, happily. "I must catch you, bulbasaur! So you and Leila can live together in harmony!" Eve said aloud. Leila huffed, and then blew out a ferocious growl, in which Leila proceeded to charge at the bulbasaur, tackling with all her might. Yet, even then, she could feel her attack being slowly chipped away, she was becoming weak! <It's okay, Leila, we'll get through this. Soon my love shall be mine!> Leila thought encouragingly. Life isn't fair, but attacking twice in battle was. He was just keeping the pace quick, and keeping them on their toes. Pulling away after his tackle landed, he turned to look at them both. His breathing was starting to get heavy, but his passion didn't die down. Digging in his heels he stood ready to take them on as the Deerling made her attack. He needed a quick break so he was resting for a moment, bad move. At her growl he looked up and was about to return with one of his own, when her words met his ears. She likes me? Well durr! Of course she does, we where meant to b-eeeeee. His mind and heart got away with him, and he hadn't been focusing on the battle. It had only been her tackle that brought him out of his day dreaming fog. The tackle hurt, but both their attack power was weaker then when they started so it hadn't done too much damage. The tree however, ouch. Just ouch. Smashing into it bulb first he winced before falling to his feet. Getting up he fought against the pain, but was shaking where he stood. After a few seconds though he was off. Racing towards the Deerling. He was giving it his all, but he sort of hoped she would be able to dodge a few of his attacks. As much as he wanted to free her from her trainer, the idea of possibly having a trainer was very appealing to him. Panicked swelled inside of Eve as the bulbasaur kept going, this was one tough fight! They had to keep pushing, though. This bulbasaur would make an excellent addition to his team, he might even just have a grass type team. That would be pretty awesome, actually. A deerling, a bulbasaur, and a bunch of others! "Leila! try to dodge its tackle attacks!" Eve encouraged, hoping that the deerling would manage to do it. Leila nodded at Eve, jumping out of the way of the bulbasaurs tackle "Awesome! now try a growl and another tackle!" Eve said, jumping into the air and fist pumping with excitement. He was determined to catch this bulbasaur, and refused to give up until he did. He had to have this thing, it would serve as his lab starter pokémon that he never receive from the professor. Level: 5 Attacks: Tackle, camouflage, growl Abilities: Sap sipper, chlorophyll, serenegraceHit By: Growl Used: Growl, Tackle Health: High Yellow |

Darn it! He missed, but that just meant he hadn't hurt his beloved Deerling. Man, she was fair. Elegant, and quick, well good battle smarts. Perfect to be his right hand lady on this journey to defended the forest from the likes of evil trainers. As her growl reached him he could feel his attacks becoming quiet weak. His power was draining and he knew soon he would be completely wiped of energy, but he shall never give up, never shall he give in as long as he was still able to stand and fight. Still he was shaking a bit, standing there he took a different approach to the whole thing and instead of attacking, he rested for a few moments which was when he was hit by her tackle and he slid on the ground. Tired he slowly made it up to his feet while he let out a loud growl of his own. "Man, this thing just doesn't give up, huh?" Eve said, scratching his head. "I guess that just makes this battle all the better! Right, Leila?" Eve asked his cute little pokémon. Then he spotted the bulbasaur deeply breathing in, then letting out a fierce growl and lowering Leila's defenses. What a strong opponent! And what a thrilling battle! Eve refused to give up the battle, though " Allright Leila, show him what you're worth! Use Growl and then preform a tackle attack!" He yelled, pointing forwards to the Bulbasaur. < Aye!> Leila said, running up towards the bulbasaur, jumped on it, and then pushed off of the green pokémon and then sucked in her breath for a fierce growl, lowering the other pokemon's defenses too! "Excellent job, Leila! you're the best" < Aww, thanks!> Leail responded cheerfull. (OOC: I'll mod temporarily until Angie returns) The Bulbsaur's eyes widened as the next tackle connected sending him sailing through the air. He crashed into a tree making it shake from the impact. He collapsed to the ground beneath the tree. It might be a concussion saying this but she was really, really beautiful when she was smacking him about. He quickly shook his head and began to raise his legs buckling under his weight, he was exhausted. He stood straight up, he would not be defeated until he rescued his new love. Eve watched, gritting his teeth, as the bulbasaur ran forwards into Leila with what seemed to be more powerful then all the other attacks, how odd! "Hmm, All right, let's go for a tackle attack, Leila! We're almost there!" Eve encouraged Leila. He could sense the power inside both pokémon grow weaker, and with it he could tell that battle was almost over, and with that thought the tenseness of the battle increased twice over, making Eve clench his fists worriedly "Come on Leila! You got this, we can do it!" Eve said trying to push her without seeming to bossy about it.
