Brock and Sammy arrive at the beach late afternoon. Brock sets Sammy down smiling taking in the view of the ice cold weather. "I don't think any Pokemon are here." Sammy frowns looking around for a moment. "There's bound to be something just sit on that bench over there, a Pokemon is bound to come out. They got to get hungry something Brock". Brock walks over to the bench and sits down on it sighing staring at the ice cold water hoping for something,anything to come out of it.  Species: Oddish Type: Grass/Poison Name: Sammy Gender: Female Level: 6 Attacks: Absorb, Sweet Scent Abilities: Chlorophyll, Run Away Nature: She is very kind and polite. She apologizes for a lot of things, and she always asks how people and Pokemon are doing. She loves plants and flowers; she gets lost in them, even to the point of bumping into others. If she does something wrong, she will always try to do something to make up for it. She is very optimistic, and if she is ever down it doesn't take much to brighten her up and make her smile brightly again. |

Much of the pond was frozen due to the cold weather. One little Spheal did not mind. He loves the ice since he did a better job rolling around on it than he did swimming. He did not notice the trainer as he popped up out of the water. He jumped up onto a large piece of ice and immediately began sliding. <Wee!> he cried. He rolled into a ball to move faster. Unfortunately, he was going too fast to stop, and he rolled off the ice into the snowy grass, knocking into an Oddish in the process. <Ooof,> he mumbled when he finally stopped.

Brock looks at the Pokemon with intrigue. <Hello there, my name is Brock" He smiles at the small ice Pokemon. He picks up his Oddish Sammy. Sammy seems to be really mad that she got knocked over. Sammy says in an aggressive tone of voice <Ow! The Spheal sat up, feeling dizzy. He shook his head to clear it. Then he blinked at the Oddish. What was she getting so worked up about. <Sorry,> he said. <The ice is slippery.> He was not worried to much about that. He was completely oblivious to Sammy's battle stance, so he turned and gazed longingly a the ice again. He wanted to get back out there and have some more fun.

Brock smiles. <Whoa,whoa,whoa. You think you're crazy if i'm not going to try to catch me a Spheal> He got a Pokeball out of his bag holding it in his hand breathing heavily. <I want you to join me.> He can't believe how much his attitude has changed. He's thinking that it's probably the weather making him grumpy.

The Spheal looked back at Brock when he spoke. Catch? He did not want to be caught. He wanted to be free to roam around the ice and snow. Besides, he did not know this trainer very well. How could he trust him? Then again, if he proved himself in battle, he might reconsider. Yeah, that was how it was supposed to be done. <You gotta battle me first,> he said. That only seemed fair.

Sammy balances herself on the ice so she doesn't slip she then smiles and takes a deep breathe. <Prepare yourself for this one> light begins to come out of Brock's Oddish heading towards the Spheal's body quickly. The Spheal decided battling would actually be kind of fun. He had not battled anyone else in awhile. He could not wait to test out his moves again. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about the Oddish' Absorb. He shook it off, though, since he had not been harmed too badly. <Get ready!> He said. Then he sent a chilling gust of powdery snow in the direction of his opponent.

The Oddish passed out right there falling on the ground breathing heavily out like a light. Brock looks at the Spheal worried. <O-Oh god, Sammy wake up please, if not this thing is going to seriously hurt you.> Brock looks on worried waiting to see the Spheal's next move. The Spheal grew excited when his attack worked. This was fun! He frowned slightly, however, when it appeared that his opponent had fainted in fright. This would not do. He wanted a nice, fair fight. He decided to attack in a way that might help her out. He opened his mouth and let out a jet of water towards the other Pokemon. He hoped this would work. He had not meant to scare her.

Sammy wakes up and then takes powerful attack head on falling back. She whimpers and then releases a scent from her body that begins to fill the air. Brock puts a hand over his mouth just in-case it might happen to damage him in so way. <Thanks,> the Spheal said tot he Oddish happily when his attack worked. This was getting fun again. He enjoyed the scent that soon filled the air. He almost forgot what he was doing. He suddenly was not in the mood to use a damaging attack, so he simply growled to make Sammy less wary and lower her attacking power. That should do it for now.

The Spheal chuckled at Sammy's comment. <Why, thank you.> He did not like the Absorb attack, but he smiled at what the Oddish said next. <That's great.> The winter was his absolute favorite. Maybe it would not be so bad to have a trainer to hang around. Maybe they could teach each other something. At the reminder of winter, he thought it would be fun to use Powder Snow again, so that is what he did.

The Oddish passes out one again the cold weather putting her in a deep sleep. Brock starts to get worried trying to think of a plan "Dang you took my Oddish out again". He looks in his backpack contemplating trying something else. He clutches a Pokeball pulling it out of his bag just in case. "Oddish isn't the only Pokemon I have you know?"
