Pokemon Basics Class A

Nope, this one had Davelia completely stumped. Not even waving her paws around in front of his face seemed to do anything. But once a girl decided to try talking to him, the chinchilla couldn't help but respond with a friendly greeting to her. ”Min! Minccino min?” *Hello! Who’re you?*

When he was posed a sudden question suddenly, it appeared to have brought him out of of his current state. Though when his blue gaze looked up to the girl that was sitting at the desk in front of him, he looked startled. ”M-Me? Oh, uh… No. Er, yes...?” It all came out a bit of an embarrassingly jumbled mess that left him silent afterwards for a moment. ”I-I’m fine...” The tone of his voice the entire time had easily betrayed the fact that he actually wasn’t okay. So even to him, he sure didn’t sound very convincing…

He could still see it too, out of the corner of his eye. Which didn't really help. So in a bit of a desperate moment, he ended up taking his Pokémon, and moved her a little bit over to the one side of the desk. She ended up making a bit of a fuss, as there was no prior warning given. But having those large ears blocking a good portion of that side of the room turned out to be useful for him to try ignoring it for a bit. ”Stay still, okay?”

When he looked back to the girl that had been talking to him only moments ago, Adel was surprised to find that she was already doing something else. From the viewpoint of looking at the back of her head, he couldn’t tell that she was actually taking a nap in class. Up until he heard the snoring that was starting to come from her anyway. He… wasn’t sure of what to think. He knew you shouldn’t really be doing that, but was reluctant about waking her. Eventually Adel just settled for leaving her alone.

”Min, minccino min!” *Hey, that’s a funny sound!* Davelia said as she leaned over the edge of the desk to get a better look of the girl. Pretty much ignoring what Adel had asked of her. Things quickly backfired when there was a sudden ringing sound of a bell to break the current lull in the classroom. Startling the normal type pretty badly that she lost control of her balance. ”Minminmin!” *Whoa whoa whoa!* Davelia could not prevent the inevitable, even with lots of flailing to pull herself back. Even her trainer with assumed poor reaction time didn’t catch her.

What actually happened was that he was hit with hesitation when he tried to reach for her. Watching the chinchilla fall off the desk. Slowly he stood up and leaned over to peer down at the floor. She almost looked mad when she glanced up at him. ”S-sorry…” This time he was able to grab Davelia, after crouching down beneath the desk to reach her. Once he sat himself down again, it looked like the other students were going through their own introductions one by one.

Once the girl with the Cyndaquil had finished, it looked like it was his turn... With Davelia still in his arms, he stood up again. Swallowing nervously as he quickly tried to think of what to say. Adel wasn't prepared for this. "M-my name... Is A-Adelmar. Adelmar Lantos... And, uh... T-this is my M-Minccino..." Raising his arms a bit to indicate the gray furball he was holding, he continued. "Her n-name is Davelia." Raising a paw again to wave to everyone, she still kind of looked... Annoyed. About what happened earlier. "Minccino." *Hi everyone.*

"The reason I'm here is... Um… Is so that I can learn… About Pokémon." Having gotten too nervous, he couldn't provide anything more detailed than that for his reason for being here. Hoping it was at least enough, he sat back down in his seat.
