Kiki strolled down the streets of the city where she had been dropped off. She had never been to Sinnoh before. She reached the city limits and gazed out at the forest. She had wanted to explore the city some more, but the thought of meeting Sinnoh Pokemon compelled her to go out into nature. She smiled as she looked back forth at the trees, wondering what would come out to meet her. |

A Buizel trudged through the forest. Water Pokemon did not typically live among the trees, but this was an exception. This Buizel had lost her home in a terrible battle. She had not been strong enough to defend herself, and now she found herself alone in the forest. She hung her head, and her tail dragged in the dirt as she walked along the path. She needed to find a way to become stronger. She was so distraught that she did not notice when she ran into a human. Alarmed, she jumped back and looked at the trainer. She suddenly got an idea. <I challenge you to a battle!> This would surely help her get stronger. And if she did lose, maybe this trainer would be able to help her.  Gender: Female Level: 17 |

Kiki stopped in her tracks. She raised her eyebrows in surprise upon seeing the Buizel. "You want to battle?" Hmm... Where had she seen this before? Ah, once she had caught a female water type Pokemon that was stubborn and looking for a fight just like this one. She wondered what a battle between them would look like. "Ok, go Penelope!" She tossed a Pokeball in the air, releasing the Seel. "Alright, start off with Headbutt!"
Penelope eyed the Buizel. It looked like she was itching for a battle. Great! That was exactly the type of opponent she wanted. She would prove she was the better water type. She moved forward along the ground with her head lowered to strike. The Buizel smirked. Excellent. This was going to be fun. She was pelased to see that her opponent was as interested in battling as she was. A water type Pokemon battle was going to be great! <You better prepare to lose,> she growled. She always trained hard! She could see the Seel lumbering towards her a mile away. She easily dashed to the side to avoid the attack. Then she issued a Sonic Boom. Kiki wished that this was a water battle. It was hard for her Seel to fight on land. Oh well. She would find a way for them to win. "Penelope, use Ice Shard!" She wondered what the Buizel would do against an ice type attack.
Penelope glared at her fellow water type. The Sonic Boom caused her to flinch, but she soon got over the feeling. <Now you're really going down!> She wanted to use a water move, but she knew to listen to her trainer. She opened her mouth and spat out sharp peices of ice. The Buizel shielded her face with her arms so that the ice shards would not srike in a sensitive spot. So far, so good. She would see what this Seel was made with yet. She dashed forward, running back and forth to use Quick Attack. Kiki thought the Buizel was quite brave. If she allowed it, she thought she might catch her after the battle. It would help her Seel to have a rival on the team. "Penelope, Headbutt!" She knew her Pokemon liked to strike hard.
Penelope stood her ground as the Buizel came at her. She made no sound as she was hit. <Is that all you've got?> With her opponent still close, she moved in on her with her head lowered. The Buizel jumped to the right, but she tripped and fell flat on her face. The Seel struck her hard and caused her to become sprawled on the ground. Growling, she leapt to her feet. She then shot out her Water Gun in an attempt to catch her opponent off guard. Kiki could see this was going to be a tough battle. Both Pokemon were similar in personality and type. She supposed willpower and strength were going to decide this. "Alright, now use Ice Shard!"
Penelope growled at her opponent. She was certainly a tough one. Water hit her face, and she shook her head, spraying droplets to the side. <A little water is not enough to take me down!> She stayed still as she focused her attack. Then she released sharp shards of ice. The Buizel shielded her face from the ice with her paws. Thankfully, ice moves did not do too much damage to her. She dropped her arms and smirked at the Seel. Time for her next move. She suddenly zipped forward, using Quick Attack. Kiki was impressed by the Buizel's talent. She wondered if her Seel would enjoy having her on the team. The two could motivate each other to be better. For that to happen, they had to win first. "Quick, use Headbutt!"
Penelope loved the thrill of battle. What made it even more exciting was that she was up against a Pokemon that would be hard to beat. She was up for any challenge! She stayed still as the Buizel ran at her. At the last second, she leapt forward in an attempt to ram into her, getting hit by Quick Attack in the process. The Buizel smirked when she hit her mark, but she was immediately struck by the Seel's head. She took a moment to catch her breath and then growled as she leapt to her feet. She took a few steps back before releasing her Water Gun. Kiki noticed that the Buizel seemed to have slipped up. She knew just how to take advantage of the situation. "Penelope, use Encore!" If the water type kept using Water Gun, she would not get much damage in. "Now Ice Shard!"
Penelope used Encore to trap the Buizel. The water had not hurt much anyway. She thought she was just showing off. <Now take my ice!> She shot out sharp shards of ice. The Buizel narrowed her eyes at the Seel. She felt her power restricted to her Water Gun. She did not believe she had fallen for that trap! There was nothing she could do about it now. She shielded her face with her paws as ice flew her way. Then she prepared to let loose her best Water Gun yet! Kiki smirked. She could tell the Buizel was frustrated, and she planned on using this to her advantage. "Now Icy Wind!" She was glad she did not have to worry about dodging for the time being.
<Ha!> Penelope taunted. <Take that!> She would prove once and for all that she was the superior water type. She let the water strike her, instantly shaking it off. <It's going to take more than that.> She took a deep breatha nd then sent forth a strong gust of chilly wind.
