Tamaki whistled as he strolled down the path. He had heard that many trainers started looking for Pokemon in this forest. He wanted to do things right, so he decided to cehck it out wth Andre, his Minun, who was currently perched on his shoulder. "Let me know if you see anything," he said to the electric type. He looked around eagerly. He could not wait to make his first catch as a Pokemon trainer! Classes were fine, but this was what it was all about. It was truly a dream come true. |

A Cacnea strolled along the path in the forest. He was not paying attention to where he was going, and he had no destination in mind. He simply enjoyed walking. He stopped when he saw someone coming up ahead. It looked like a trainer, and he had an electric type! He loved to defeat electric types. He smiled as he ran forward to meet the human. <Hi!> he said cheerfully. <Can I battle your Minun?>  Gender: Male Level: 6 |

Tamaki stopped walking when he saw the Cacnea. He was not great on understanding Pokemon, but it looked like this one was ready to battle. "Are you up for this, Andre?" He smiled as the Minun climbed down and took a battle stance. "Alright. Use Thunder Wave!" This was going to be his first Pokemon battle. He was so excited!
<I accept your challenge!> Andre declared, sparks flying between his cheeks. He thought Thunder Wave was a good move to start off with. If he could paralyze his opponent, it would be a lot easier to defeat him. He took a deep breath and then let out a bolt of electricity. The Cacnea grinned excitedly. <Great!> It was fun to beat electric types. He immediately got into a battle stance. The Thunder Wave struck him, but it felt more like a tickle then anything else. Now it was his turn. He leered to prepare for his next move. Tamaki wondered what the Cacnea was doing. Why was he doing nothing and why did he look so scary? He shivered. Well,all he could do was attack. Now, which one of his Minun's moves should he try out next? "Andre, use Discharge!"
Andrew bounced on the balls of his feet. His first battle was so exciting! The Cacnea's Leer made him wary, but he knew he could beat him. He was afraid of no grass types! He stood in place and let out his electricity. The Cacnea did not expect the next electric attack to deal out more damage than the last one. Maybe he had misjudged the Minun. It was time to get serious. Two barbs flew off off him and spiraled towards his opponent to steal energy from him. Tamaki tried to understand the move the Cacnea used. If only he knew more about Pokemon! At least he was at a school where he could become a better trainer. He decided to move to his next move. "Andre, Nuzzle!"
Minun frowned as he felt his energy drained from him. That was no good! Oh well. He just had to battle harder now. he dashed towards the Cacnea. When he got close enough, he leapt at him so he could Nuzzle him. The Cacnea flinched when the Minun nuzzled against him. Was that supposed to be an attack? He could hardly feel any energy drained from him. Oh well. While still remaining close to the electric type, he raised his arms and shot poisonous needles at him. Tamaki started to panic as poisonous barbs flew at his Pokemon. "Andre, Discharge!" He thought this would stop the Poison Sting, but apparently he was wrong. How was he supposed to know if his Minun was poisoned?
Andre watched the Cacnea nervously. Those darts did not look good. He released his electric energy. While attacking, he was struck by the Poison Sting. Luckily, he did not feel any different than before. He hoped he had survived the assault. The Cacnea was struck by the bolts of lightning, causing him to shudder. That was a strong attack for such a little guy! He hoped he could keep up. Needing to replenish his energy, he decided to use Absorb. Tamaki looked through his Pokedex to examine his Minun's moves. There was still a lot he did not understand, so he decided to stick with the simpler attacks. "Alright, use Play Nice and then Discharge again!" He hoped that was a good move.
Andre felt recharged by using his electric move. <That's what being an electric type is all about!> He declared. He did not care that he was up against a grass type; he would still win! He endured the Absorb attack and then prepared for his own. He used Play Nice by hopping up and down. Then he let out another big stream of electricity. The Cacnea watched the Minun behave oddly. Before he could question him, he was struck once again by a wave of electricity. This time, when he tried to move, he found himself paralyzed! Panic rose in his chest when he realized he was very vulnerable. Tamaki was surprised when the Cacnea did not make a move. Then he realized he must be paralyzed. What great luck! He supposed this was the advantage of having an electric type. "Andre, use Discharge once more!" He grinned. This battle was almost his.
Andre hopped from foot to foot in excitement. Was he really about to win his first battle? It felt great to know that his power had caused his opponent to freeze. He really hoped they could become friends after this. Right, now, though, he had a job to finish. He took a deep breath and then let loose a discharge of electricity. The Cacnea has no recourse yet again. The attack overwhelmed him, and he collapsed from the damage. Gender: Male Level: 6 Attacks: Poison Sting, Leer, Absorb Abilities: Sand Veil, Water Absorb Hit By: Discharge Used: Health:--- You defeated Cacnea! Capture or move on?
Minun has gained two levels. He now knows Spark.

The Cacnea finally came down, and Tamaki pumped his fist in the air. "Success! I must document this!"
He took out a camera and snapped a picture of Andre standing next to the defeated Pokemon. "Now what am I supposed to do? Oh yes!" He took out an empty Pokeball and tossed it in the air. "Go Pokeball! |
