The time was early, and even the ray's of the morning sun hadn't even woken up. Yet the pink haired girl was wide away. Well besides from a sleepy yawn every now and again. It was quiet cold out so she was all bundled up. Blue jeans, and a purple shirt to start, but over top she had a white sweater, and pink gloves, and socks. On her head over her pink hair which hadn't been done into a ponytail was a black and pink striped beanie. It matched her scarf that was around her neck. In her left hand she had a white colored flashlight to help her see, but as she reached the empty beach she was happy she had gotten up so early. It was now the crack of dawn, and the world was waking up. Yet the beach was empty, no one was hear to make finding pokemon, and battling them on shore a chore. Or so she hoped. "Come on out Zap." She then said as she giggled lightly. A flash of light appeared and the pokemon came out yawning. Landing on her head, Art looked up at him and smiled. "Good morning sleepyhead." She cooed. Wow, this girl was such a morning person.

It was very early in the morning, the sun hadn't even come up yet, but this Ducklett loved the nighttime and early morning when the only light came from the moon and stars. He loved to paddle in the water and look up at the stars and moon. They were so pretty. Then, there was the sunset and sunrise. He loved to watch those too. It was all so beuautiful and something to be admired. Not everyone stopped to look at those kinds of things; they were all too busy carrying on with their busy day to day lives. What was that? He saw a dark shape close by on shore. He was about five feet from the shore in the lake, and he waded a little closer so he could see better. It looked like a trainer and her Pokemon! Interesting. He wondered if they liked the beauty of the early morning too. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXThe light from the flashlight shined around in the weak light as the pink haired girl thought she heard something. Looking out over the water she smiled as she saw the water flying pokemon. "Hey there Ducklett, you enjoying the morning too?" She questioned in a cheerful and friendly voice to the pokemon. A smile on her face as she gave a bit of a giggle. Closing her eyes she turned her head to look at Zap, and when she opened them she saw that her little Emolga was wide away now. "You show off." She then teased as she looked at the electric pokemon while he was curling his arms up and showing off his gun's to the wild pokemon. <Hey you wanna battle?> The pokemon called to the Duck as he flow in front of his trainer and out over the water some. Realizing what her pokemon wanted Art looked back at the wild duck and called out. "What do you say Ducklett? If you wanna battle I sure would like to catch you." She told the wild pokemon with an honest voice. After all chellenging to a battle is one then, but then catching at the end without letting the wild pokemon in on the idea would have just been mean. Art was not mean, she was fair. After all how does she know or not know if the wild pokemon had a family to take care of or not? She simply didn't.

The Ducklett could see the girl and Emolga better now. They seemed friendly enough. Many trainers who came to the beach tried to catch him or scare him away, but this one was not like that. He nodded at her first question. <Oh, yes. I love the morning.> It was good to see someone else who agreed with him. Sometimes he could feel a bit like an outcast. Not that he didn't have any friends. They just had different interests. He considered the idea of battling carefully. He enjoyed battling, and it would be fun to go up against the Emolga. It would not be too bad to be caught be this trainer. At least he would be with someone who liked the morning as well. He thought they would get along well. <Sure. You can go first.> He swam a little closer and waited for them to make a move. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXAdjusting her scarf Art smiled at the pokemon. It was wild, but had some manners. Of course she believed in treating others how she wanted to be treated so perhaps that was his belief as well. Nodding her head to Zap who flew a little closer to the water pokemon and in front of his trainer. Already Art could see that he was ready for this battle and she was excited as well. Looking around she thought that using Zap's thunder move would work wonders, but perhaps that was a bit over kill. That and she didn't want to fri the poor thing. "Alright then, Zap use quick attack." The pink haired girl called out as she pointed towards the water pokemon. Zap was a little unsure why he wasn't just zapping the bird, but he didn't fight Art. Instead he flew as fast as he could, moving in a zigzag manner to keep the bird guessing as he aimed for it. <Here I come!> The Emolga cried as he headed for the other pokemon.

The Ducklett prepared himself for battle. This was going to be fun. he hadn't battled another flying Pokemon for awhile. He decided to try to evade the Quick Attack by swimming away. However, the Emolga was too fast for him, and he was struck. He felt a little dizzy, but he would be fine. He only knew one damaging move, so he thought he would use it. He turned around and tried to find a good spot to aim at his target. He could always fly up and chase him to get the attack in, but for now he decided to try it from the water. He let his Water Gun lose at the Emolga, hoping it hit its mark. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXWatching Art smiled as it seemed to be a rather exciting match up. Both where flying types after all, even though their first typing was on polar ends of each other, with Zap having an upper hand. Watching as Zap made contact with with the duck pokemon, she winced a little, but other wise just watched for a few seconds. "Nice job Zap! You okay Ducklett?" She then asked. After all worrying about the other pokemon just showed she had a kind heart. Watching as the bird then returned with using water gun, Art had to think for a second. "Alright Zap use char-" She started to call out an order, but the Emolga wasn't having any of that. He knew what his trainer was doing and just used the move they both knew should be used. As the water hit him and sent him backwards Zap cried out, <Art stop going easy!> As he then sent a thunder shock towards the duck. "Ow, sorry Ducklett." Art whispered as she really winced them.

No matter where the Ducklett swam, he could not avoid the Thunder Shock. As soon as it hit, he winced in pain. It really hurt and banged him up quite a bit. Not only had it seemed to light up him, but the whole lake seemed to be bright yellow as well. Once the whole ordeal was over, he shook his head, hoping to shake off the effects of the attack. Wow, he did not want to mess around with an electric type. That was for sure. Maybe it would be best if he stayed in the air, so the whole lake wouldn't be harmed by the Thunder Shock. However, before he could fly up he noticed heads popping up from beneath the water. They were water Pokemon, and boy, did they look angry. They were eying the Emolga, looking ready to attack by the way they were moving closer to him. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXArt had to agree with the other water pokemon in the lake on that one. Zap was a bit of a show up at times, and didn't like to think about others. After all that thunder shock didn't just to through that water attack, but the water of the lake as well. Seeing that Art gasped and brought her hands to her lips in shock. "Oh no, I hope no one was hurt under the water." She mumbled under her hands. Looking at all the heads popping up she was a bit shocked as to how many pokemon there was in the lake, but then again not really. "I am so sorry everyone, please forgive me!" Art then shouted out to all the angry water pokemon. <Don't worry about them! I will not fail!> The flying squirrel pokemon called out as he moved toward the ducklett. "Don't be a jerk Zap, now listen to me. Use Charm." Art called out and even though he wanted to be a rouge again he used his charm on the duck and maybe even a few of the other angry locate folk. After he did that, the cheeky thing flew forward quickly as it looked like it was about to send out another thunder shock. "Zap use quick attack!" The girl ordered which annoyed her pokemon that much could be seen on it's face, but this time he listened and used quick attack, hopefully he had good aim again.

<Come on guys, he didn't mean it. They're really sorry,> the Ducklett said to the water Pokemon. They stopped moving towards the trainer and Emolga, but they remained with their heads out of the water. He hoped that was a good thing. It appeared they were being affected by the charm, as was he. Because he had become less wary, he was unable to dodge the flying squirrel. <Oof,> he mumbled. Shaking his head, he decided it was best to be out of the water. Then he would be able to dodge better since swimming away was ineffective and it took too much time to dodge by flying out of the water. Plus, if Zap used Thunder Shock again, the other water Pokemon would not be hit as well. Flapping his wings, he got out of the water and stayed in one place in the air. With a huge breath, he let out as much water as he could muster towards the Emolga. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXLooking at everything Art became a bit calmer when Zap not only listened to her, but when it seemed the other water pokemon in the lake settled down some. 'Phew, hopefully no riots this morning.' She thought to herself as she watched the sense unfold before her eyes. She saw Zap's quick attack land, and cheered softly for him. "Nice job see what happens when you listen!" The Emolga as a bit annoyed still, but he nodded his head at that none the less. <Oooooo.> He then called out as the Duck flew into the air and shot water at him. Seeing her pokemon being hit and pushed by some by the water Art called out to him. "Zap dive under it and use another Quick attack." Now even though the squirrel still thought he knew better then his trainer, he figured he might as well do what she wanted and then they could talk about not going easy on others later. So as the water pushed him back, Zap flew under the water gun and then used quick attack to quickly come up from under the duck pokemon. Hopefully the attack worked, if not oh well. <Your goose is cooked duck!> The little flying squirrel said as he made his move.

The Ducklett was not very good at dodging. He was not in any state to be dodging effectively, anyways, what with that Thunder Shock having harmed him in that way it did. Flying in the air enabled him to have a better chance at dodging, but flying itself was taking work when his energy was so low, he could not do it. Besides, Zap and his trainer cleverly attacked while his focus was still on his Water Gun. He was struck by the flying squirrel, and he nearly fell into the water. He was able to stay flying, though, and he was a little proud of himself. I'll just have one more go at it. He liked to finish things he started, so he used his Water Gun again at the Emolga. <It's not over until it's over,> he said before spraying out of the water. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXZap took another water gun right in the face which annoyed him. It stung and it seemed like it was a critical hit as well. Still he was able to keep himself up. He was just getting pretty tired. "Use Quick Attack again." Art said and the pokemon fly forward aiming to hopefully end this battle soon. Man Zap needed a nap, or a potion either one would do nicely.

The Ducklett smiled slightly when he succeeded in hitting the Emolga in the face with his Water Gun. That was fun. He was excited to learn more attacks. Right now, though, he could feel himself wearing down. Though he wanted to rest, he did his best to try and dodge the flying squirrel, but he was unsuccessful. After being hit again, he could no longer stay flying or awake, so he fell into the water. Even as he slipped beneath the surface, he did awaken. He was unconscious. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXWatching the duck faint Art smiled then quickly frowned. "OH, ZAP CATCH HIM!" She said as she throw a pokeball at the duck as he fall. She didn't want him to drown after all. Zap was tired, but still he didn't want the water pokemon to die either so he dove into the water and aimed to grab the Ducklett as he attempted to bring the pokemon back to the surface just as Art throw a pokeball towards the waited pokemon. Hopefully the ball catch the duck as he was heavy, and Zap could carry a pokeball easier then the other pokemon. Well sort of. Oh man if only Art knew how to swim, then she could save him herself.
