Kagirinai sighed as he headed towards the battle arena. He was hoping to run into another student to verse in order to boost the strength of his Tauros Gyuki and his Nidoran Dokuton upon whom was sitting atop his head happily snoozing. If he could beat the other students he would not only boost the level of his pokemon but earn points for his house and get some extra money. Oh cash was always nice especially since the school didn't provide you with pokeballs you had to purchase them and as for money you had to earn it or carefully invest it in the bank to gain a small amount of interest every day, five percent wasn't to bad. He made his way into the arena area and looked around for anyone to battle as he stepped down to the arena floor towards one of the match fields. He took up a position on the right hand side as Nidoran jumped down beside him and looked around for his master seeing as he only had one good eye since the left was completely blind thanks to a chemical accident when he was in his younger years sadly.

Hamilton strutted around the battle arena, searching for someone to challenge. Most of the trainers he saw seemed to be already engaged in a battle. Then his eyes landed on Kagirinai, who stood alone. His mouth curled into a grin. Perfect. He quickly made his way over to the other student. "Hey, you," he said. He was never one for pleasantries. He wanted to get right to the point. "I challenge you to a battle." He stood tall and confident. He did not care how strong this guy may be. He was going to win it!

Kagirinai eyed Hamiilton with his right eye as he challenged him to a battle. He nodded his head, "Very well I accept your challenge. Dokuton you know what to do" spoke the male as he folded his arms across his chest. The male nidoran nodded his head and leapt down from his master's head landing on the ground in front of him. The poison type glared at Hamilton as he stepped up to the plate and onto the battle field. He was ready for whatever this guy brought his way. He had three pokemon on his team so he could fight in up to a three on three battle. "Excellent," Hamilton said, nodding approval. This was going to be a good battle for him to show off his skills. "Come on out, Puzzle." A Charmander appeared before him. He wondered if he should allow the other trainer to go first since he was a challenger. Then he decided on a compromise. "Use Growl." The Charmander growled at the Nidoran while glaring at him. He was ready for what ever would come.

Nidoran sneered at the Charmander as it growled at him lowering his attack strength, "Dokuton walk all over him!" spoke Kagirinai with a smirk. Dokuton nodded and leered at the charmander in order to lower the fire types defence so that even with his attack lowered his move strength would decrease in strength. He then charged forward towards the Charmander giving a battle cry as his feet patted against the ground as he charged. He leapt upwards into the air and descended upon the fire type spinning around to lash out with its back legs to kick the Charmander twice with his double kick. Level:11 Moves: Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Double Kick Abilities:Poison Point (Contact with the Pokémon may poison the attacker. 30% chance), Rivalry (Deals more damage to Pokémon of the same gender), Hustle

Hamilton narrowed his eyes at the guy's comeback. This would not do. If that attack hit, it would cause his Charmander a good deal of damage. "Quick, dodge and use Scratch!" He hoped that would keep the Nidoran and his trainer in place. Who were they to think they were the best? Puzzle jumped out of the way just in time. once the Nidoran was back on the ground, he spun around and attempted to Scratch him. He wanted to do his trainer proud!

Dokuton skidded across the battle field as its attack was avoided. As the fire type dashed at him ready to use its scratch attack the male Nidoran lowered its horn allowing it to make contact in the hopes of his poison point ability to take effect and poison the opposing pokemon. He slid back from the blow before he leered at the fire type in order to lower its defence and boost his attack strength. He then leapt towards the fire pokemon lashing out with its back legs aiming a double kick attack at his foe.  Level:11 Moves: Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Double Kick Abilities:Poison Point (Contact with the Pokémon may poison the attacker. 30% chance), Rivalry (Deals more damage to Pokémon of the same gender), Hustle

As Puzzle turned to face the Nidoran, he was struck by the Double Kick. He fell to the ground, wincing in pain. Hamilton clenched his teeth as he watched his Pokemon stand up. This was not good. "Hang in there. Use Smokescreen and Ember!" That combination ought to work. Why wasn't the other trainer handing out orders? Puzzle opened his mouth, and smoke filled the battle field. Then he shot fire balls in the direction of the Nidoran.

Dokuton coughed as the smoke began to encase the entire battle field.The smoke parted as fireballs flew through it showing off where Charmander was. Using the trajectory of the fireballs. He charged forth towards the location of where the fireballs were coming from letting them clash against his body as it ignored the pain and charged through the parting blanket of smoke leering down hoping it hit Charmander to drop his defence. As he broke through the smoke he lashed out with a double kick. The Double Kick seemed to hurt more this time as Puzzle was hit. He stood up and looked at his trainer for help. Hamilton frowned deeply. That had not worked as intended. It was time to try something else. "How about Growl and Ember?" Yeah, that should be better. There was no way that Nidoran could withstand their fire forever! Puzzle growled fiercely at his opponent. Then he let out another series of fire balls. It would work better this time, right? His trainer was never wrong!

Dokuton slid across the battlefield turning to refocus in on his opponent. He eyed the fire lizard watching him carefully waiting for his next strike. He did not have to wait long luckily as the pokemon's trainer commanded it to use growl then ember. Nidoran charged head on again ignoring the growl as it dropped his attack taking the chance to leer hard on towards the Charmander to drop its defence as the flaming embers came flying towards him. He began to move around the incoming fireballs dodging them, He side stepped the first leapt over the second slid under the third. The fourth caught him on the right front leg leaving a small burn as the fifth struck his back leaving another burn. He ignored the pain he was feeling as he rushed in and lunged spinning to lash out with his double kick attack again. Pain was nothing he could stand to ignore it if it meant victory. As he attacked he shouted, <I WILL NOT FALL!> Level:11 Moves: Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Double Kick Abilities:Poison Point (Contact with the Pokémon may poison the attacker. 30% chance), Rivalry (Deals more damage to Pokémon of the same gender), Hustle

It looked to Hamilton that the Nidoran was getting angry. Well, they were not going to give in either. They were strong! "Puzzle, now use Scratch." Yes, this would work. They would soon see victory. The Charmander was slightly impressed with the way the Nidoran ran at him while he was attacking. He had just finished using Ember when he was struck by another Double Kick. He wished he would stop doing that. At least Puzzle himself knew more than one attack. The Nidoran was still close to him, so he ran forward to Scratch him.

Nidoran lowered his head allowing his horn to make contract with the scratch as he slid back a few feet from the blow. He looked up and leered up at the fire type pokemon to lower its defence even more for his final attack. He began his charge picking up speed as he gave a battle cry and leapt towards the fire lizard. He lashed out with his back legs to double kick the fire type again as he ignored the pain from his burn wounds. The Charmander tried to get out of the way of the last attack, but it was no use. He was struck hard and slammed to the ground. He rolled over, fainted. "What?!" Hamilton exclaimed angrily. He glared at the other trainer. He was just going to have to use another Pokemon. "Jewel, battle time!" A Slowpoke appeared in front of him. She yawned before blinking up at Hamilton. "Use Growl and Tackle on the Nidoran!" Jewel turned to face the other Pokemon. She growled lightly at him, and then she made her way forward for a Tackle.

Dokuton looked up at the new opponent a slowpoke. The poison pokemon sneered as he growled and hit him with a tackle. Dokuton lowered his horn to make the tackle connect with his horn in the hopes of that his poison point might poison the water type. The tackle attack sent him sliding back a few feet. He shook his head and leered forward towards the water type in hopes of lowering its defence to make up for his decrease in attack. He then lowered his horn to use a move he had been saving. His horn glowed before a needle full of poison shot forward towards the water type. If his poison point didn't poison him hopefully the poison sting would poison the water type. (OOC: Wouldn't Nidoran have gone up three levels? Gain 2 from defeating a pokemon 1 level lower and a plus 1 for defeating a trainer's pokemon ?)
