After the Sandshrew faded into nothing, a Heracross appeared in its place. It stared blankly at the trainer and Eevee and did not make a single move towards them. The Heracross looked sort of threatening as it stood there. Nate could already tell this was going to be a tough battle, but he knew his Eevee could hang in there. "Alright, Watcher, let's start off with Tackle." It was his only damaging move, and it was best to see how it did on its own.
A determined look crossed Watcher's face as the Heracross appeared. He could do this! He nodded once at his trainer's command. <Here I come!> he cried as he ran forward.

The Heracross was hit by the tackle and fell down. It got back up quickly and faced Watcher. It opened its right palm and aimed it at him to thrust it a few times in a row. Nate could see what the Heracross was going to do. He quickly came up with a plan to evade it. "Watcher, jump over the Heracross while spinning and using Tail Whip. When you are able, try to Tackle it again." He hoped this would work. It was not something they had ever tried before.
Watcher listened carefully to his trainer's instructions. It sounded a bit odd to him, but he was willing to try anything. He took a running start and jumped over the Heracross. He spun in the air while wagging his tail. He wobbled as he fell to his paws on the other side, but he regained his balance. Then he turned around and ran for a Tackle.

The Heracross became less wary. It attempted to dodge but was unsuccessful, so it got hit. It retaliated by bending down and running at the Eevee, aiming its horn at him. The Heracross hit Watcher, causing him some damage. Nate did not want that to happen again, so he decided to change his strategy up a bit. "Ok, Watcher, use Sand Attack and then Tackle." Hopefully this combination would prove effective.
Watcher wined as he was hit by the Horn Attack. That hurt! He quickly scrambled to his feet and flung sand in his opponent's face. Then he attempted another Tackle. He was ready to cause some more damage!

The Heracross was blinded by the sand, so it did not see Watcher and was hit by the Tackle. It readily got back on its feet and used Arm Thrust again, attempting to hit the Eevee multiple times in a row. The battle was going well so far. Nate could not wait to see victory. Soon he would be ready to challenge the first battle leader. "Use Tackle and then Tickle." He thought it would be easier to use Tickle if the Eevee was still close to his opponent because of the Tackle.
Watcher was hit once by Arm Thrust. After that, he was able to scrambled out of the way. He continued to run, skidding to a halt when he heard his trainer. Then he turned and ran back at the Heracross. Whether he hit it or not, he would attempt to move forward and tickle the Pokemon with his pause to cause it to laugh, reducing its speed and defense.

The Heracross dodged Watcher's tackle. It was still near him, though, so it fell over laughing as it was tickled, it's speed and defense decreasing. It was unable to attack while laughing, but as soon as it recovered, it stood back up on its feet. Using its right hand, it aimed to slash the Eevee. Nate knew there would be a little bit of recovering time between when the Heracross stopped laughing and when it would be able to attack. They would have to make the most of it. "Dodge and use Tackle!" The virtual Pokemon would be a bit slower now, so hopefully this attack would not miss.
As soon as he finished tickling the other Pokemon, Watcher quickly jumped back. Then he ran out of the way of the Heracross' attack. He made a circle around the room and went zooming back to Tackle the Heracross. This was fun!

The Heracross fell over from being tackled. It got slowly back up on its feet. After waiting a moment, it sent a sharp leer at Watcher. When that was done, it ran over and attempted an Arm Thrust again. Nate could tell the Leer had an affect on his Pokemon, and he was unable to dodge. They were going to have to come up with something better. Right now, he wanted to stop the attack and get something in while the Heracross was close. "Use Sand Attack, then get out of there and use Tackle!"
The Leer made Watcher freeze for a second. He tried to get out of the way of the Heracross, but it was too late. He was struck a couple of times before he was able to obey his trainer. He flung sand at his opponent, which gave him the chance to get away from him. Once he was satisfied that he would not be hit anymore, he turned on his feet and ran back to try another Tackle.

The Heracross covered its eyes with its hands when sand flew at it. Since it could not see, it did not dodge Watcher as he tackled him. It got up slowly and stayed where it was. It forcefully sent seeds in the other Pokemon's direction. "Dry to dodge them, Watcher," Nate said. It looked like both Pokemon were getting tired. He would have to make sure this battle ended soon. "Use Tail Whip and Tackle." He wondered how much more the Heracross could take.
Watcher was immediately struck by a seed. He scrambled to his feet and got out of the way of the rest of them. He stopped to wave his tail at the other Pokemon. Then he ran right back at him for yet another Tackle attack.

The Heracross watched the Eevee's tail, becoming less wary. Because of that, Watcher was able to succeed in tackling it. It fell to the floor and instantly fainted. Soon after, a mechanical voice spoke. "Congratulations, you have won. Please take off your helmets." Heracross Level: 8 Attacks: Arm Thrust, Bullet Seed, Night Slash, Tackle, Leer, Horn Attack, Endure, Fury Attack Abilities: Swarm, Guts, Moxie Hit: Tail Whip, Tackle Used: Health: -- Watcher has gained 2 levels. He now knows Baby-Doll Eyes and Swift.
