Mr. Knight whistled as he walked to class with Frost, his Sneasel, by his side. He had had a great summer off, but now he was ready to teach again. Contest Training was one of his favorite classes. He was eager to meet new students and potential coordinators. He sat at his desk and pulled out his enrollment sheet, which read: Rosalina Starshine , Anastasia Stardust Fall , Gary Oak , and Sawyer Fylan . |

Gary grumbled to himself as he walked down the hall. He was not interested in contests at all, but this was the only class he could take. He did not want to get in trouble with the school, after all. He carried Stephan, his Cyndaquil in his arms. He hoped the little guy would find the class somewhat interesting. When he entered the classroom, he went straight for the back where he would not be seen. |

Sawyer sighed as she trudged down the hall. She carried Tammy, her shiny Stunky in her arms. Her Pokemon was having a sleep attack, so she decided to carry her. This was her only Pokemon she thought would enjoy contests, which was why she brought her along. The girl wondered what she could possibly learn from this class. She entered the room and brightened upon seeing Gary. He did not seem like the coordinator type either. Maybe was here for the same reason as er. She headed for the back and sat a couple of seats away from him. "Hey," she said. "You have to endure this too?" |

Tamaki whistled as he walked down the hallway. Andre clung to his shoulder, looking around curiously at everything they passed. The boy was excited to start classes once again. Contest Training sounded absolutely fascinating. He had watched contests back in Hoenn, but he had never dreamed of competing in one himself. Perhaps he would discover a hidden talent! "Good morning, everyone," he said brightly as he entered the room. he proceeded to take a sit right up front. |

Mr. Knight received a call that he would have two more students joining him. He would give them some extra time before marking them late. For the others, class was about to begin. "Good morning, class!" he said in a loud voice. "For those of you who do not know me, I'm Mr. Knight. Let's get started with roll call. Please raise your hand when I say your name. Rosalina Starshine... Anastasia Stardust Fall... Gary Oak... Sawyer Fylan... Tamaki Suoh... Adelmar..." He marked two students absent. Adelmar still had time to arrive. "Ok, now we'll have introductions. Please give your name and the name of one Pokemon you have have brought. Then name your favorite type of Pokemon move. For example, this is Frost, my Sneasel. I love dark type moves. Who's next?" He looked around the room with a smile. |

Adelmar hurried along down the hall to get straight to class. Moving just a bit faster than normal walking, but not quite running. He didn't want to tire himself out before even getting there, but he knew he had to hurry. Otherwise he'd be late.
This semester was a lot more limited with the available classes than he expected, so he wound up with one that didn't really interest him. With an already existing goal in mind, it did make him feel that this class wasn't going to be very helpful. But there hadn't been much of a choice. Between coordinators and trainers, how many similarities were there? He didn't want to think of it as a waste of his time. But unless there was something useful to be learned as a trainer, Adel was going to be pretty unenthusiastic about this class...
Pretty soon he finally made it to the door of the classroom and walked right in.
At first glance he could see there were some other students already here, but none of them were anyone he recognized... And Mr. Knight was in the middle of talking by the time he arrived. Did that mean he was a little late after all? It looked like they were only just starting to get into introductions at the moment. So hopefully he wouldn't get into too much trouble for arriving a little late.
Not wanting to interrupt the teacher, he quietly went over to the nearest desk up front to sit down. Adel knew he was supposed to pick a Pokémon for class. But he couldn't decide on which one prior to getting here, so he wasn't ready to take his turn for an introduction yet. |

Sawyer looked at the teacher when she started the class. At least the first class of the semester was never too strenuous. She could deal with annoying introductions. "I'm Sawyer, and this is Tammy. I love fire type moves." The Stunky lift3ed her tired head and smiled at the class. |

Tamaki smiled at the students who entered. This was certainly going to be a fun class. He took a minute to think about the question asked of him. His favorite type of Pokemon move? He was not too acquainted with many types of moves, so he decided to go with what he knew. "Hello. My name is Tamaki Suoh. This is Andre. I'd say my favorite type of moves are electric moves." The Minun smiled, satisfied with that answer. |

Gary listened to several people give their introductions. Finally, he knew he had to get his over with. he held in a sigh as he gathered his thoughts. "I'm Gary. This is Stephan. My favorite type of Pokemon moves are dark moves." It was hard to beat that. |

"Very good," Mr. Knight said as soon as everyone had given their introductions. He made some quick adjustments to his enrollment sheet. "Now we're going to do a short exercise. Please come up here and use one move of the Pokemon you brought with you as if this were an appeals round of a contest. Make sure the move makes your Pokemon look good." OOC: Rosalina and Anastasia have been dropped from this class. They may no longer receive credit for it. |

Tamaki leapt up from his seat as soon as Mr. Knight finished speaking. "I'll go first!" He had never been in a contest before, but he was up to the challenge of showing off his Pokemon. Andre scurried after him. The two of them stood at the front of the room and turned around. The student knew exactly which move he would use. "Andre, use Discharge!" The Minun took a deep breath and then released several sparks of electricity. The bolts went up int he air and surrounded him before disappearing. He and his trainer bowed before returning to their seats. Anastasia ran in in a panic. She was LATE! she couldn't believe this-She was late for a class. She felt pissed at herself, and sat down quickly. Her scraggy could sense her irritation and tried to calm her down. It wasn;t working as Ana was worried shed be thrown out of the class.
