OOC: December and Angelica have forfeited, so Ayame and Kiki are moving onto the finals. Kiki will post first.
IC: Principal Sash could not believe the unfortunate turn of events. Both semifinal rounds had ended in forfeits. Angelica was hurt right before her battle, and December got nervous and ran away from stage fright. That left Ayame and Kiki to battle for the ribbon. The principal hoped both coordinators would be able to battle it out now. The audience needed a good show.
Sash walked to the front of the stage with a microphone in her hand. She looked around at everyone with a smile before speaking. "Now we have come to the final round. Kiki and Ayame will be battling for the March Contest ribbon!" While everyone applauded, she stepped back to let the contestants take their places. |

Kiki walked out onto the stage with her head held high. She was disappointed that she did not get to battle December. She had been looking forward to the experience. Hopefully, the final round would be different. Since Cody had not had a chance to battle, she decided to go with him. "Let's try this again, buddy," she said as she tossed his Pokeball into the air. There were a few contest moves she wanted to try out.
The puppy appeared before her. He wagged his tail as he looked around. <Am I going to battle now?> He had been told he was going to battle that Sandshrew, but then it had been called off. He was ready for some action!

Principal Sash decided to wait a half hour this time since it was the final round. When Ayame did not show up, she let out a heavy sigh and walked onto the stage. "I'm sorry, folks," she said into the microphone, "but it looks like one of our coordinators will not be showing up today. That means she foreits and Kiki is our winner of the March Contest! Congratulations. You have earned this ribbon." She smiled as she walked towards the girl and held out a ribbon. Then she looked around at the audience. "I hope to see you all in our next contest. It has been fun." She paused for applause.
Kiki has won the contest and earned a ribbon!

Kiki waited patiently for her opponent to get there. She was surprised when a half hour passed by without her showing up. Cody looked up at her in confusion. When Principal Sash declared her the winner, she smiled graciously and accepted the ribbon. "Thank you," she said politely. She then bowed to the crowd before returning Cody to his Pokeball. It did not really feel like a win, but a ribbon was a ribbon. Hopefully, she would get to battle in the next contest. |
