A small smile appeared on the Eevee's face when his attack hit. It took him a bit to recuperate now. He just had a to try a little harder and he would have it. Even if he lost, he would have given it his all. He did not have the strength to dodge the Scratch attack. As he fell to the ground, he knew he would only have one more shot at this. He struggled to stand up. Then he ran forward with what was left of his strength.

Ouch that had to hurt Usoa couldn't help, but think to herself as she watched. Both pokemon looked beat, but hopefully Claire could hold on just a tad longer. "Come on Claire you got this. Match it, use scratch!" It was an order that some would wonder why she'd give. Many would have told their pokemon to dodge it, but Usoa thought it best to trust her pokemon. If Claire thought she could dodge it, then great. If not well her pokemon was the one doing the physical part of the battle. So dodging or not she was the one taking all the hits not Usoa. However, as the green imp watched, the purple pokemon ran with all she had left for the Eevee, and as they got close together swung her arm attempting to use scratch as they crashed into each other. Or rather when the brown fox's tackle landed and pushed her back. Hopefully though Claire had been able to land her attack. She was on her last bit of strength.

The Eevee saw the Espurr coming towards him to attack, but he gallantly did not move out of the way. Their attacks collided. The Eevee felt the Scratch just as he slammed into the Espurr. That was about all that he could take. <You fought well, warrior,> he panted. With that, he collapsed on the ground. He had fainted.

"Come on, come on." Usoa said softly as she watched, and then a wide smile spread across her face as she saw Claire hang on just long enough for the Eevee to faint first. "Great job Claire." She cheered for her purple pokemon as she throw a pokeball towards the fallen wild pokemon. "You fought amazingly well, and will make a great addition to the team." She then added in a soft voice as she took out Claire's pokeball and spoke to her. "Your awesome Claire, here take a nice rest." While she spoke she recalled the Espurr. Happy with the Eevee and watched to see if she could indeed catch it or if it still had energy to escape the pokeball. She still had one pokemon left if any other showed up, but she wasn't sure how the Hoppip would fair to be honest.
Usoa has used one pokeball.
(Also Claire gained 2 levels right?) |

The Pokeball rolled around, but the Eevee had no strength to fight the capture. Eventually it stilled.

Picking up the pokeball now with the Eevee in it Usoa smiled. Yes! She had an Eevee on her team and was one step closer to her dream of a Sylveon. Now with most of her pokemon tired, the green haired girl figured it would be best to head over to the pokemon center, instead of seeking out more pokemon to battle. So tucking the ball into her pocket she jogged towards the park exist and went that way.
