Name: Eve Coppermen
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance:
Home Region: Kalos
Team Wanted: Kanto
Personality: Eveis loyal, he is always willing to protect the ones he loves even if it means throwing himself into a battle he knows that he won't be able to win. If it's for a friend then he'll always be willing to do it. Eve stands by his friends in their hour of need and will always be there for them just as he knows that they would do the same. Of course, this also means he would have to be courageous, throwing himself into impossible battles and not giving up until his last words have been uttered. Not only this, but he's also very faithful in his friends, he believes that they would do the exact same thing for him that he would do for them, trusts them to withhold all of his secrets, and lend him a hand when he needs it most.
At times Eve can be a little obnoxious with his jokes, but he never really means it and isn't really that aware of it most of the time. He's also very reckless sometimes, fighting strong opponents, climbing tall trees or getting himself in trouble all the time. His adventuring spirit is strong and he loves to explore and learn about new places. He is usually quite calm and collected during battle, using his intellect to spot when someone is open to attack or what the opponents next move might be. He isn't always correct about this, though, and when he's incorrect Eve and his pokémon are open to being attacked again since he becomes confused at predicting incorrectly. Because of family deaths and issues, though, Eve can easily become depressed when he thinks about it, and at times sheds tears. Not very much though because it's been a while since his parents died.
Eve also gets lost in his thoughts quite often, thinking about anything really. Pokémon, his friends, or upcoming tests. He just thinks of something in his mind and has an un-necessarily large talk about it in his head, sometimes causing him to get frustrated and angry. At other times the thought of things to come and what his next step in life might be and how will face it calms him down or even cheer him up sometimes.
History: Eve grew up with his mother, father, and brother, Kade, as a happy family that was wealthy-but not rich-. His father was an adventurer, who traveled about Kalos, completing many jobs to obtain enough money to have a family, but he managed to pull it off. He even taught Rane and Kade about pokémon in his free time, they both loved it and enjoyed practicing what his father had taught them with each other. Rane would always use his pokémon's speed against Kade, who would try to win by brute force. These battles often ended in a draw with Kade's strength matching Rane's speed. One day when Rane was 10 his father set out on a dangerous mission, his friends told him not to do it,but Rane's dad insisted upon it.After he set out Rane, Kade, and their mother eagerly awaited his return.they waited for days, weeks, and months. After around 3 months of waiting and insisting that he would return the next day, the realization that he was most likely never coming back hit them hard. They were devastated, with no one else working they didn't make enough money and so they went to work, doing small chores for people like mowing their lawns, or trimming their hedge. Their mother got a serious job at a business just outside of town where she made enough to go by with Rane and Kade's meager earnings. Throughout Rane's struggle the thing that kept him going was pokémon , he would watch pokémon whenever he could with the hopes of someday becoming an adventurer just like his father minus the death part. When he turned 15 Rane started taking on higher paying job like becoming a waiter at one of the restaurants in town, earning much more than the back breaking chores he did before. One day, though, his mom got terribly sick. No medicine at their disposal could heal her, Rane and Kade were in utter distress. They couldn't bare loosing someone else they loved, yet they knew it would happen. She couldn't be healed and was in critical condition.Knowing the inevitable Rane's mom made one last wish for them to fulfill: To travel the country, and someday join an academy or school of some sort willing to take them in.
For a year they traveled alone, helping those in need and receiving money in return. They did it for the people, and their mother. But Rane could feel that Kade had darker intentions than the boy let on, Kade was sneaky, mischievous. He used his pokémon's powers to play with the opponent's minds, break them down, and fill them with absolute horror. Rane couldn't believe what one of his best friends had become, but he stood by him for his mother's sake. At the age of 16, Rane and Kade came across a group of travelers who, like them, had nowhere to go and traveled the country in search of work. The group asked Rane and Kade to join them in their travels and the two accepted gratefully. They could finally have friends and earn enough to make a living out of it with this group. For a year that traveled with each other, completing jobs that the two of them never could have before this. They were raking in the doe and living in style because of it. Their team was a family by then, nothing could have separated them, but one mission they were because, as we all know, all good things must come to an end.And that end was caused by the malevolent Kade. During a mission to defeat a group of bandits hiding out in a cave, Kade's pokémon used a move that collapsed the cave, murdering 5 members of the group in the blink of an eye. The thing Rane found so distressing, though, was that Kade didn't even bat an eye. Rane could feel the darkness in Kade's heart, with every step he took and every move he made. Rane just didn't have the heart to believe it until then, he couldn't believe the monster his best friend had become and, not willing to see him senselessly kill another one of his comrades, he walked out on Kade and the remaining members of the group. That was not the way to make a better life, and he had made a promise to his mother that he intended to keep So he left with the hopes of creating a better life away from the evil he lived with.
For another year Rane roamed the country, helping out people and towns in need and really taking moments to stop and enjoy life, but thoughts of his brother and the horrible things he did haunted Rane everywhere he went. He still wonders at times where Kade could be and what evil deeds he could be preforming. But he tries to push those thoughts away, but because of it Rane is afraid to face his past and hates talking about it. When one day he saw a pokémon school and how happy everyone was who belonged to one, he decided that he too would be part of one someday to fulfill the second part of his mother's promise. He would train, make friends, and lots and lots of fun moments. He imagined what it would be like to be in a school, everyone would be happy, and he might even be able to relieve himself of the past. He was extremely excited at the thought of joining one of the region's many schools and couldn't wait for the day to come. Although sometimes he still thinks of what it would be like if his parents hadn't died and his brother wasn't insane. They could all have been a happy family working together to be happy, the thought saddens him at times. He knows that he must push on, though for the sake of his mother and for the sake of his father. He must endure any hardships ahead with the help of friends he may meet in the future. He knows that he must forget the past to move on, but he can't, he will always remember everything that happened even though most of the time he doesn't want to. He's been plagued by his past and he needs the cure. So he travels across the country for the sake of everybody he loved, and for a better life. Nothing can stop him from keeping his promise, no matter the obstacles and hardships he will most definitely face in the future. He will be ready for them, at least that's how he sees it. And, one day, he stumbled upon the doorstep of Cherilli academy, where the rest of his life awaits.
