Kiki received another surprise in the form of Flamethrower. She was confused until the other trainer began to speak. Ah, so it had been a tactical move. "Quick, Reflect!" Maybe she should have used Synthesis when she had the chance. She nodded at Yami. "Thanks. That's a pretty good strategy. It seems like you're ready for anything." While there was nothing wrong with what he was doing, she, on the other hand, preferred to work with her Pokemon's natural strengths.
Alice's eyes widened in terror at the flame coming towards her. Absol was not a fire type! She was too slow to react and was unable to get her shield up in time. She shivered as the pain hit her. Unfortunately, it was too much for her to bear. She tried to keep standing, but she fell over in exhaustion. The battle was over.

Kage's legs shook as his muscles strained to keep his body standing but he watched on as the stream of flames encased the grass type pokemon. His eyes narrowed as she stood before falling over in exhaustion unable to keep the battle up. Kage fell to his knees panting heavily the battle was over just before his Perish song had taken effect praise Arceus his flamethrower had done the job. It seemed to have been a good idea to keep the fire move hidden and use it as a last resort. A beam of light struck Kage as he returned to the masterball he called his home to rest. Yami extended the masterball allowing it to expand as a beam of light reached out hitting his Absol returning the dark type to its confines for him to rest, "Well done you performed well" he spoke as he placed the sphere into the right pocket of his Hakama. He gave a small smile in the direction of his opponent and bowed deeply as a thanks for the battle. Level: 18 Attacks:Pursuit, Quick Attack, Leer, Feint, Detect, Razor wind, Me First, Perish Song Tm moves: Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Stone Edge, Aerial Ace Abilities:Pressure, Super Luck (Critical hit +1), Justified

OOC: Congratulations! I will PM Yami and the other Hoenn members with their prizes later. IC: It turned out to be another great battle. Alice seemed to have the upper hand in strength, but Kage's learned moves had pulled through for him int he end. For a minute, Principal Sash wondered if Perish Song would cause her to call a tie. Luckily, there was a victor in the end. "Wow, that was quite a battle," she said, walking up to the battle field. Maya trotted amiably by her side. "Congratulations to both of you for making it this far."
She turned to face the crowd, smiling. "Our victor is Yami Hateshiginai, and Team Hoenn is our winner for the spring semester!" She paused as everyone cheered. "Everyone in Hoenn, including those who join within the next month, will receive prizes as an incentive for everyone to try their hardest next semester. We'll see if Hoenn can keep the crown." A smile twitched on her lips. The teams and tournament really were a great idea. She was glad she had let Turner talk her into it. She could not wait to see what would happen the next semester! Kage has gained four levels! He may now learn Bite. |

Kiki dipped her head, conceding defeat. It had been a great battle, and she had learned a lot from it. She would be sure to take this knowledge and use it to train more efficiently. Maybe she could consider TMs herself in case the unexpected happened. "Nice try, Alice. You fought hard." She took out the Bayleef's Pokeball and returned her. Then she lifted her head to meet the gaze of her opponent. "Congratulations." So, Hoenn had won the tournament. At least Johto had gotten this far. She would encourage her teammates to work hard so they would have even more chances next semester. Once Principal Sash concluded the event, the girl turned and walked out of the Battle Area. |

Yami glanced at the Principal as he was declared the winner of the Tournament. His gaze turned as he focused in one his opponent before bowing towards Alice, "It was a pleasure to battle with you." Yami turned on his heels and began walking towards the exit of the building. Even though he had won the tournament for Hoenn he still needed to train. It had been a rather close call with the Bayleef and he may have won by the skin of his teeth but he hated winning like that, sure a win was a win but he considered this one a win by luck, he got lucky on the last blow. He would now begin training his pokemon even harder now. Perhaps he would challenge the battle leaders.
