A Stroll In The Park!  "I hope we can find those Pokémon that we've been looking for, Yuudai!" Her feet pressed and turned on their pedals, turning the bicycle over to the left. Yuudai perched in the front-basket, facing forward to feel the wind gush to his face.
Pressing her hands onto the handle-breaks, she halted at the park entrance. Locking her bike with a chain and code against a pole, she gently picked Yuudai up and set him into her arms. She went rather further than the popular and crowded parts of the park and had decided to look around in the bushy and grassy areas. She allowed her Torchic to roam the ground, who was determined to find Pokemon that she has been dreaming to find. It was a rather hot and sunny day, and it was a good thing that she was wearing her baseball cap and sunscreen to prevent the bright sunlight beaming onto her skin. While the trainer and Torchic searched for Pokemon on the ground, a Swablu gently flew across the park. She was having a mighty good time by herself today. She too avoided the crowded areas. She did not mind humans or other Pokemon, but too many of them could be overwhelming. She noticed the two up ahead, and curiosity gripped her. It seemed that they were searching for something. Was someone lost? She decided to find out. She flew down so that she was floating near the Torchic. <What are you looking for?> she asked in a friendly tone. Maybe she could help!

Yuudai turned and ascended its head to gaze at the flying Pokémon. He took a few seconds to realise that this is one of the Pokémon they were exactly looking for. <We're looking for friends! If you wanna be friends, we should battle!> The wingless Torchic sprang up and down in pure excitement. Nana had heard some commotion not far from where her Torchic was, so she followed her partner's foot-pattern tracks to lead herself where the two Pokémon are now.
"You're just what we're looking for, and you're so cute too!" Nana had to hold herself from cuddling the cloud-looking bird. With a wide grin spread across with mere dimples showing, she was looking forward to seeing how this Pokémon could fight.

The Swablu listened to the Torchic talk to her. He seemed nice enough. They wanted to be friends? She liked that. She was not doing anything in particular, so she could battle. That was what Pokemon did, right? She had not had a good battle in a long time. It might be a good refreshment from her usual activities. <Ok,> she agreed. She took a spot opposite of the fire type. <You can go first.> She waited patiently for him to begin.

Yuudai turned his head to stare at his trainer, nodding his head as a symbol of saying 'I'm ready!' Returning the nod back to her Torchic, she grinned in determination. "Yuudai, start off with a scratch!" With his chirp, which he was imagining as a battle cry, he dashed towards the flying Pokémon with his try-hard act put on. Once gotten close, the orange feathered bird leaped into air and leaned back with his two claws aimed for the wings. Nana standing back a little way away, she was hoping for her Torchic to be a good fighter within combat. Yuudai![]() Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bounce. Abilities: Blaze, Speed Boost. The Swablu was ready for the attack. When the Torchic sailed in the air, she gracefully floated off to the side, missing it entirely. She smiled as she prepared for her own attack. She gathered up her energy and zoomed down for a Peck. This was going to be interesting indeed.

Nana grunted at the clear dodge, her eyes then scanning the battle field for any way in advantage for her torchic to hit. With a bright and fresh idea popping right before her, she had noticed the fact that there were trees surrounding the battlefield, which would be great for making a way behind the foe.
"Yuudai, use bounce to make your way from the trees to the Swablu!" Understanding what she meant, the fly-less orange feathered bird bounced into thin air, dodging its sudden peck attack. Landing onto a nearby tree, it's figure was hidden in the bushy leaves of the trees, bouncing from one branch to another until it got to the last tree tree planted right behind the foe. Once at the location, he sprang off and aimed to ram into the bird from it's behind. Yuudai Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bounce. Abilities: Blaze, Speed Boost. The Swablu was surprised when the Torchic used the trees to get into the air. <Nice,> she complimented. The trainer and Pokemon sure were a good team. She thought she would enjoy being friends. Unfortunately, the Bounce knocked the wind out of her. She almost fell to the ground, but she was able to fly up before that happened. Ok, try to find something else. She zoomed up close to the fire type to attempt Astonish.

Puffed out from his recent bounce attack, the Torchic remained puffing in and out for a catch of breath. "Yuudai, watch out!" Nana exclaimed with worry. Like expected, Yuudai was toppled with the astonish and rolled backwards from the force, yet he still managed to get back on up onto his two small clawed feet. The attack didn't take a lot of damage, but did make him a bit more out of air. <Gah, man, you're pretty good too!> Yuudai croakily cheeped. "Yuudai, you can do this! Go for a scratch!" Nana shouted with confidence in him, which refilled the flightless bird with more confidence and bravery to continue fighting. He dashed his way once again and leaped up into reach of the bird with his claws. Yuudai Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bounce. Abilities: Blaze, Speed Boost. The Swablu smiled when the compliment was returned. <Thank you.> She was not an avid battler, but she did enjoy it from time to time. She liked it when battles were not fierce and instead focused on learning from each other. She liked making friends in this way. She attempted to gracefully glide out of the way of the oncoming attack, but the Torchic was too quick for her again. The Scratch hurt but not as much as the Bounce had. Once she had recovered, she growled before moving forward for a Peck.

Attempting to run away from the incoming Peck, he dashed off, thinking that he'd have a chance at getting away from the peck. Unfortunately for the flightless bird, the Swablu was easily able to catch up and swoop down with its peck. Resulting with the Torchic to stumble and face-plant to the ground. The attack had taken quite a toll on the little chicken, putting its health down to 'high yellow.' "Yuu, use growl and bounce together!" Nana clenched her fists, hoping for this strategy to turn out well. With a mere nod, the orange feathered Pokémon bounced up into the air before the Swablu could get any further, and had let off a more of a 'chirp' than a fierce growl. Yuudai Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bounce. Abilities: Blaze, Speed Boost. Hit by: Peck Used: Bounce & Growl Health: High Yellow

After landing a successful attack, the Swablu flew higher into the air and circled the area. She should have been paying better attention, but she just loved the feeling of flying freely! She turned at the sound of the Growl, but it was too late, and she was hit straight on by the Bounce. <Oh, good one,> she said as she steadied herself in the air. She decided to go for a tried and true Peck this time, using her speed and elegance to guide her.

Yuudai took a few steps back as the bird swooped down with incredible speed, aiming straight with its beak towards him. Before the Swablu could take a hit, Nana clasped her right hand onto a shining red poke ball and hurled it in aim at the incoming foe. "Alright, pokéball!" She shouted with confidence. A red beam absorbed the Pokémon into the poke ball before clasping shut and dropping onto the lush green ground, wobbling and twitching as the determined companion and girl waited for either a good or bad response. They both leaned their upper bodies forward in anticipation. Yuudai Level: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Bounce. Abilities: Blaze, Speed Boost. Hit by: Used: Health: High Yellow

The Swablu smiled when her attack hit. She prepared to be struck herself but was surprised when a Pokeball came flying towards her. Already? Well, she supposed it was good that she had not fainted. She liked the Torchic and his trainer, so she decided not to resist capture. The ball wiggled several times before growing still. She was caught.

Picking up the poke ball into her gentle grip, she ascended her hand upwards to inspect the poke ball. "Welcome to the team, Sora." A flash of her wide smile was shown, followed by her Torchic's chirp of happiness at the newfound team member. Clipping in her poke ball into her side-belt, she continued on. "Lets go to those training machines, okay?" She turned to look down at Yuudai, who replied with a happy nod and chirp. - finish -
