It was the weekend, and as Ayame did her daily rounds, she decided to take a visit to the cafeteria. After all, they were serving Lava Cookies! She usually would go to a cafe in the city to help herself with some croissants or macaroons. Instead, the PA announced that Lava Cookies would be served in celebration of some random holiday in some random faraway region.
Ayame walked throughout the cafeteria, picking up food as she went. Extra spicy mapo tufo, pecha juice, six bowls of pokemon food, and two Lava Cookies. A little fatty, but Ayame was dieting. She paid and headed for a table, and then released all six of the pokemon she had with her and gave each the food she bought. She sat down and ate her mapo tufo carefully..

Yami yawned as he headed to the cafeteria a coffee in hand as he was dressed in a pair of black hakama pants, black kimono top, white obi sash, white tabi socks and straw waraji. His waraji padded against the tiles as he pushed the doors open and gazed on with a lazy expression taking in those within the cafeteria before moving over to one of the empty tables. His pokemon had been quiet excited upon hearing lava cookies were being served here, personally he wasn't to fond of the treat himself. He sat down on the seat placing his coffee atop the table and detached the five spheres that were hooked onto his obi sash and placed them down upon the table four pokeballs and one masterball. These five spheres held his current team and each with a variety of skills that made them unique.
He tapped the masterball first allowing it to open and a beam to shoot out hitting the ground as it began to shape. The beam took the shape of a quadruped pokemon with a dark blue to gray body covered in soft white fur. The pokemon an absol shook his fur coat and howled loudly as his crimson eyes surveyed the room. He slowly laid down on the ground crossing his paws over and placed his head down upon them using them as a pillow. Next he tapped one of the pokeballs and a beam hit the table taking the form of bipedal, blue, reptilian Pokémon his Bagon. Soon followed by three more the first taking the shape of a bat like creature followed by a Tyrannosaurus and lastly a small bipedal dragon in order his Noibat, Tryunt and Gible. His team consisted of four dragon types and a single dark type pokemon who had attacks that allowed him to handle most other types.
Yami simply glanced at them before the four dragons ran off towards the serving area. The smaller dragons grabbed a tray together and began to pile it with various foods as they drools while Noibat picked up an oran berry in her clawed fingers and landed on Yami's shoulder and began to eat. The other three returned placing the tray onto the table struggling due to their height but once it was up leapt onto the table and began to munch on the lava cookies.

(Lol lots of pokemon to roleplay as. I know this seems kinda lazy, because it is XD. Ah, going back to my early fanfition days. )
Buizel's POV: Bruiser happily shoveled his spicy torchic salad into his mouth. He was crunching the lettuce that came with it. Of course, he was trying to withstand the extreme spiciness that Ayame is able to handle. He squirted water into his mouth, HOT! Bruiser teared up, it made it worse.
Glameow's POV: The gray pussy purred at the perfect, crunchy luvdisk fish skillet. Glamour ate it with simple perfection, gracefully pulling off a piece and delicately dipping it in horse radish. She then sucked it into his mouth. Mmmmmmnn... She then directed herself to the octillery callimari and started eating it, a bit more sloppy.
Roselia POV: She wasn't hungry, as most grass pokemon are, all they need is sunlight and water, which she was chugging down.
Beautifly's POV: Glory sipped her oran flower nectar up his long mouth, very self conscience. He returned to his pokeball.
(Lol watch me get more lazy.)
Chimchar's POV: Cinder left his food in front of him, nothing was appetizing. Even his favorite food, apple pie was disgusting. He signed and flopped onto the ground.
Ayame's POV: Not spicy... yet. She enjoyed the food a lot and began on one of her lava cookies.
Hah, the cookies were spicy too. She graciously sipped the pecha juice up the straw the was given to up. She then pulled her teal hair behind her ears, flipping her hair in the process.
Gible's OVA: Gible didn't exactly have a favorite food yet, but he was enjoying the PokeKibble. He quickly grew bored, then looked around to see if anyone was watching. Coast clear. He jumped out of his red chair and sneaked away, he looked around again. He gasped, another Gible! He ran over to the Gible. <Hai!>

Shinya the gible looked around the cafeteria spotting another trainer and her pokemon team Buizel, Roselia, Glameow, Beautifl, Chimchar and a Gible. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to nibbling on his lava cookies completely ignoring them as he enjoyed the delicious treat. He stopped half way into biting the next cookie when someone said hi to him. He turned his head and stared at the other gible. He put the cookie down and leapt down so he stood in front of the other gible. His eyes narrowed he inspected the Gible before grinning and replied, <Hi there! I'm Shinya and I'm way cooler then you!> he said with a massive grin on his face.
The moment he had said that he received a smack to his head from the older dragon Bagon. The blue dragon type stood behind the much younger dragon, <Play nice hatchling> said the older dragon as he folded his tiny arms across his chest. The Tyrunt wobbled over and sniffed the other Gible and looked at the older dragon as he pointed to the gible, <Food?> he asked in an innocent tone. Bagon shook his head, <No hatchling friend>. The Tyrunt nodded and looked at the other gible before he glomped the other pokemon, <I'm Doton!"
Seiryuu face palmed at the action as the Noibat fluttered over landing on the table tilting her head to the right with a curious gaze, <Well now who is this little one> spoke the female dragon type in a soft soothing tone.

'<Hi there! I'm Shinya and I'm way cooler then you!>'
Gible was put down from that; and it was easily told my his face. He pouted, but was cheered up by the other dragon. Gible fell over when being 'eaten' by the Tyrunt, he giggled, it tickled on his scales. Next came a bat, no dragon, fluttering to the nearby table. <I don't have a name yet, my trainer is letting me pick!> He responded triumphantly. <She is really nice, but she is a coordinator and I prefer battling.> Gible trailed off, but then regained his usual glow.
Fiore finished her mineral water, she looked around and saw that Gible was gone. She was a naïve thing, and left by herself to find him. She looked around and spotted him at a table, conversing with other dragon pokemon. She walked up behind him and whispered in his ear, <Gible, what are you doing?!> <Making friends!> <Come back before anyone notices!> <No!> The Roselia pouted and ran back to get her trainer.
Ayame felt a tap on her back, well, a hit. The Roselia whined, <Gible is over there with strangers.> Aya sighed and turned around, "Glameow, please watch these roughhouses." The cat nodded in acknowledgement. She got up and walked over to Yami's table, sitting down with her Roselia, her food in her other hand. She turned to Yami, "Sorry, I'm just supervising him."

Seiryu nodded his head as he listened to the little dragon. He stepped forth and patted the other Gible on the head, <It is nice to meet you Hatchling. My name is Seiryuu. You have met Shinya and Doton they not long hatched and are the new editions to the team. Tsukuyomi was caught not long before them. The grumpy one on the floor is Kage> spoke the Bagon. Shinya looked down at the Absol and threw a lava cookie at him and laughed causing seiryu to roll his eyes. Kage opened his eyes glaring at the other gible as he lazily lifted his right paw. Electricity sparked at his finger tips before a bolt of lightning landed in front of Shinya causing him to fall backwards in shock, <Next time I won't miss> spoke the Absol before he set his head down and fell back asleep.
Shinya sneered as he jumped up and stood at the edge of the table parting his lips as a sphere of yellow began to form with a small orange aurora around it, Draco Meteor one of the most powerful dragon moves in existence. Before the Gible could do anything with it the older dragon Bagon gave him a harsh glare which caused the sphere to vanish. Doton flopped onto his behind and stared back and forth between the others even though Gible had hatched after him Tryunt was still quite innocent and child like. Doton grabbed a lava cookie extending one to the other gible while he munched on another.
Tsukuyomi slowly approached the new Gible and inspected him sniffing his scent using her claws to clean him of any dirt much like a mother would. She took a step back and seemed to smile, <Are you perhaps the only dragon on your trainers team hatchling?>questioned the Noibat as she glanced over at the GIbles trainer after the Roselia had run off after the Gible had refused to go back to the others.
Yami lifted his head from his Coffee and gave a blank stare as he took a quick sip, "I pity you. My Bagon is my enforcer able to keep them all in line baring Absol" spoke Yami in a soft tone as he pointed to the older Dragon who carried himself like a warrior as he held an imposing aurora for his small stature.

Gible giggled at the Noibat cleaning him, it tickled.
<I dunno...> he turned to Fiore, <Are you a dragon type?> The Roselia shook her head, chuckling at the newborn's cluelessness. <What type are you?> <Guess.>
The Gible let out a tackle at Fiore, which she had been anticipating. Roselia swiftly dodged the attack and Gible fell off the table.
Ayame sighed, and then spoke over the steam emanating off her dish. "Glameow usually take care of it, but she is worn out from the other two. They don't like their pokeballs." She scooped another bite into her mouth, and then took a sip from her Pecha Juice. She put it back on the table quite loudly, almost as if she was angry.
"Man, its so boring here, at the academy. I've tried all of the clubs here, I've been think of starting a club... but what would I do?" Ayame groaned. "You look bored too." Ayame took another fast bite of the tofu.

Yami sipped his cup of coffee with a blank expression as he watched his pokemon interact amongst one another. He turned his head slightly looking over at Ayame as she began to speak telling him she had tried all the clubs at the academy and had been thinking about starting one of her own before saying he looked bored as well. The young male sipped his coffee again before taking the time to think up a proper response to her words, "On the contrary I have been anything but 'bored' as you have put it. Outside of classes the majority of my days are spent in the forest, lava caves, beach or virtual training machine to ensure my current team is at the peak of their strength or extending my team by adding to it through the use of capture" spoke Yami as he sipped his coffee slightly, it was true while the school may have been boring because of the club range, Yami had not attempted to join any clubs and have focused only on boosting the strength of his team in order to begin challenging the battle leaders starting at Jenna.
Yami leaned forward resting his chin on the knuckles of his hand as his elbow resting on the table, "I have been spending my entire team ensure my team is capable for I will shortly be challenging the first five battle leaders one after another using only my Bagon who will easily make his way through the very first battle leader and by my calculation evolve into a Shelgon, whom then by the time I reach the fourth battle Leader will have evolved into a fully grown Salamence if my calculations all go as planned" explained Yami as he eyed the oldest and strongest of his dragon pokemon as the Bagon watched over the Tyrunt and Gible ensuring they stayed out of trouble, "So as you can see I am anything but bored with my current schedule"

Ayame stopped eating. She blinked once or twice, maybe because of the spicy steam arising from the soupy substance beneath her head. She gave a blank stare at the young man across from her.
Was he kidding?
She continued eating, and thought to herself again. He's talking about his pokemon like they are characters in a RPG game! To level them up is one thing, and is understandable, as he is a trainer. Sheesh, if you only use one pokemon in battle all your others will be unmatched by the other. And then what would you do with the underleveled? The trainers available would be either too weak or too strong.
Ayame chuckled to herself, and then choked on her food, quickly recovering with a sip of her juice. I'm a coordinator, what would I know. After all, the goal of a coordinator is to become perfectly in sync with your pokemon. And not to forget to wrap it up in a beautiful little package wrapped up with a tidy, cute bow.
Ayame looked determined, as it was a habit of her when she was thinking. "I don't focus on training, more of umm.... Coordination. Well, we've battled before. For example, if I have my Glameow use Shadow Ball and then my Beautifly use Psychic on the Shadow Ball, it explodes like a firework."

Yami placed both his elbows on the tail cupping his hands together and resting his chin on his fingers as he eyed his companions. While it may seem like he would only be putting the focus on one of his pokemon the reward he would receive from the gyms that being five rare candies per defeat would then be distributed equally amongst his pokemon that did not compete that being twenty-five rare candies each should receive five to enhance their strength. However with Absol and Noibat being stronger than Tyrunt and Gible he would actually divide the candies amongst the two hatchlings before going back and challenging the first battle leader again with a different pokemon team to begin increasing their strength. His eyes narrowed as he focused in one his Bagon it was only logic he was following, yes he could level them up equally but by ensuring his Bagon was the strongest early on it would allow him to ensure his victory against the other students and win his way to competing in the end of Semester Tournament if his Bagon could literally crush all those who come before him.
Yami turned his gaze onto the young girl as she spoke about being mainly a coordinator giving an example of using her Glameow's shadowball and Beautifly's psychic to create an explosion of fireworks, "It is to be expected this school does feature two areas, battling and coordinating. I focus purely on the battling side so I do not have a large amount of expertise in the art of coordination battles. While Coordinators focus on moves that will ensure their victory to obtain as many points as possible on a various number of factors, as a battler my pokemon moves are focused on how much damage I can cause or based on status effecting to decrease or increase my own or my opponents stats to ensure a quick victory. Such as with each of my dragon pokemon I have armed them all through the use of a TM with the Draco Meteor the second most powerful dragon based attack in the world. As well as equip them with the flying move Aerial Ace for an unavoidable attack" explained Yami as he focused in on his Bagon again, his bagon had a vast move set equipped with powerful moves like Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Stone Edge, Aerial Ace and Draco Meteor.
Yami used his index finger to point towards his Absol, "Another example is my Absol as a Dark type his move set normally ranges with Normal and Dark type orientated moves however I am armed him with Thunder Bolt, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Stone Edge and Aerial Ace meaning the only pokemon he doesn't have a type advantage against are Poison, Fairy, Dark and Normal Types. There is also the fact both of my younger dragon's Tyrunt and Gible are armed with Earthquake for knocking down Ice types" explained Yami again pointing out his teams well oiled combination of moves designed to ensure he had a powerful advantage against many types with his Absol having the greatest combination and potential in battle. Yami brought his left hand to his hair running his fingers through his long silk locks, "Of course there are those trainers who state it is better to use the moves a pokemon naturally learn their own strength however that won't always allow one to win a battle one must also rely on resourcefulness" spoke Yami as he pulled a strange disc out of his bag and spun it on his finger tips this was the TM for Draco Meteor.

Ayame shrugged. "Good coverage is always good, but a pokemon does get a natural boost from a move of their respective type. I think it was called... uh, stab? I also think their natural abilities plays a role, too. Like, my Roselia here." Fiore looked up at her trainer. "She could have some advantage using Poison Jab, but she is more suited to use an attack like Sludge Bomb." Ayame flipped her hair. It had been quite the while since she got into a pokemon conversation. "I like to imagine it like this, if you can imagine a pokemon using a now or a magical staff, they are more suited to use ranged or magic-like moves. If they look more practical with a sword or a mace, they'd be better off with physical moves."

Yami brushed a strand of hair aside and began to speak, "STAB or Same-Type Attack Bonus is a boost in a pokemon's attack if the pokemon is the same type as the move they are using. However STAB can only be effective in certain circumstances. For instance if my Absol a Dark Type Pokemon were to fight a Machoke a Fighting Type Pokemon and use a Dark Type Move such a bite would receive a STAB bonus however Dark Type moves are not very effective on Fighting types meaning my STAB would be useless. However since my Absol is armed with Aerial Ace he will cause a more significant amount of damage against the Machoke being that Aerial Ace is a Flying Based Move. Only time STAB would be highly effective for my Absol is when he is against Psychic or Ghost type pokemon.
While STAB can be a useful tool it also depends on just how you use it and under what circumstances. For Instance if your Roselia were to go up against my Vulpix while you may receive a STAB for Grass and Poison Type Moves your Grass based moves would barely cause my Vulpix to flinch and your Poison Type moves would only cause a slight increase in damage by 50%. However by using a Fire Type Move with my Vulpix who through TM knows Fire Blast and if I was to use said Move not only would it be super effective against your Roselia increase the damage done by close to double she would also gain a STAB increasing the amount of damage to close to three times compared to if I was to use her Fire Blast on say a Normal Type. Take into the equation the natural incredible power of Fire Blast this would come to a rather devastating move.
I could even use the example of both our Gible's as both are newly born pokemon as such equal strength. But factor this your Gible most likely only knows Tackle while mine knows Tackle as well but through TM has been armed with Aerial Ace, Stone Edge and Draco Meteor and as we know by type advantage Dragon type moves are highly effective on Dragon Pokemon. As such it is highly likely with super effectiveness, STAB and Draco Meteor being the second most powerful Dragon Type move there is your Gible would stand no chance. So while natural abilities do play a rather nice role one should also take into the equation that natural abilities are not always the most effective when it comes to a battle. There are many factors to a battle but they come down to two different halves. The first half is focused on your pokemon there ability, move set and type advantage. The second half is the trainer with strategic planning and logic" said Yami each word spoken in a soft flowing tone as he stopped to take a sip of his coffee. To him battling was all about strategy and logic and due to this it had ensured he had never lost a battle unless on purpose.
Yami linked his fingers together as he took in a slow breath as he began to think again wondering just how he should put what he had next to say into words without coming off as perhaps arrogant? Yami turned his head looking into the girls eyes, "To me battle is simply about logic and forming the proper equation. Everything in battle has an equal and opposite reaction. Thus it is through this logical thinking and planning that I have ensured my way to victory one hundred percent of the time with a clean slate. The only time I have lost is when it was on purpose" stated Yami as he leaned back in his chair

Ayame shrugged, "Perhaps that is true to your team, which is all dragon types, not including your Absol. For me and all other trainers and coordinators that don't stay true to a single type, I will have to disagree. Using your example, if my Roselia and your Vulpix were battling, I would switch out to my Buizel, which resist fire types. Following simple logic, you would probably switch to a dragon type if your Vulpix doesn't know any grass type moves. However, if it does and if you don't switch out, following your strategy, my Buizel could easily knock out your Vulpix with a strong water type move."
Ayame finished her mapo tofu and moved onto the two cookies she bought.

"While it is true your Buizel could defeat my Vulpix, one would also have to factor in the strength of each individual pokemon. Much like a fresh Squirtle might have a type advantage against say a battle experienced Charmander there is one other factor I have left out and that is battle experience. A team with no experience is more likely to lose then a team with experience. I am not saying you don't have any battle experience as I have no idea of your teams capabilities. Of course we can sit here as long as we like discussing the matter but until we battle its my ideals against your ideals" spoke Yami as he slowly stood up from his chair and walked over to one of the trash cans and dropped his coffee in, "Though call it arrogance, I just call it confidence. Your team wouldn't even be able to beat my Noibat let alone my Absol or Bagon."
