Zoey is hard working and loves to train Pokemon. She likes to read about Pokemon a lot, so she can understand them. She doesn't like it when there's storms. This quality often gets her into trouble along with the instinct to help another Pokemon or person out, causing her to stop at nothing till they're safe. Zoey grew up in a small town with two older brothers, Zack and Richie, and one younger sister, Abby. She helped take care of her younger sister after her mother died, and her brothers left to travel. Her brothers always watched out for Zoey when she was younger. They all cared about each other very much because they had a very strong bond that would never break, so she didn't like it when they had to leave, though she understood.
Zoey's father was caring and loving, but had become indifferent and harsh to Zoey after her mom died. He wasn't pleasant to be around anymore, but she still felt bad for him. She knew just how he felt, but he wouldn't listen. He just put his emotions into punishment and his work. To get away from it all, she decided to head for the Academy, but was sorry to leave Abby all alone with their father. Her sister insisted day and night before Zoey reluctantly left. She had wanted to travel at first, but she thought the Cherrilli Academy would be best for her right now.
She loved to go in the woods when she was younger with her brother and explore. She once found a young Pidgey with a sprained foot and, loving to have a chance at having a new Pokemon friend, took care of him until he was better. Zoey discovered that she wanted to be a healer when she helped take care of the Pidgey.
