Nature: Ryhorn is probably one of the friendliest Rhyhorn anyone will ever meet. He's like a puppy, in many ways. He has quite a bit of energy to expend on a daily basis. However, he also thinks he is a lap dog. Any trainer he sees, he'll try to sit in their laps. He doesn't mean any harm, he's just like one of those dogs that doesn't know that they are a big dog so they just sit in the person's lap anyway. Ryhorn tends to follow people around as well. He gets attached to people quite easily.
This can be both a good and a bad thing. Many times, it has led him to get hurt by others. Ryhorn refuses to let this get him down, though. He keeps trudging along, looking for all the good in the world. He knows that he will find it one day soon.
History: Ryhorn had a boring enough beginning to his life. He was born into a herd of wild Rhyhorn that roamed the Kanto region. He made friends, and eventually lost them whenever a trainer came by and decided that they wanted a Rhyhorn to train. He came to see this as inevitable. But he liked to think that his friends were out having lots of fun adventures, rather than any of the bad things. One day, a trainer dressed in funny-looking black clothes with a red "R" on the front of his shirt came along. He was out looking for Rhyhorn to capture.
Most of the older Rhyhorn got away, though Ry stayed behind. He didn't know this was a bad trainer. He just knew he was a funny looking guy with a funny looking shirt. This was his downfall. Ry was captured by the Rocket grunt, and forced to work for them. Many times he would be punished for things that he didn't think were wrong. But he would always forgive his funny looking trainer. Ry thought there had to be some good left in the man. But, if there was, Ry wasn't around to see it. The Rocket grunt released him back into the wild. Only, he wasn't in the Kanto region anymore.
He was definitely not in his home. Instead, he was just outside of Shupert City. Where there were plenty of new faces around to make friends with. Oh what a wonderful thing, Ry had thought as he looked around the place he would be calling home from then on. He thought it had to be that his funny looking trainer had the good sense to send him somewhere where he could make a lot of friends. When he turned around as if to thank the Rocket grunt, the grunt was nowhere to be seen.
