The young man had arrived at the academy not that long ago. Twenty minutes at the most. He would have gone straight to the principle's office had it not been for the fact that he had to first disembark from the ship that had carried him here from Unova. Which had taken a little longer then he had expected due to someone in front of him in the line. Oh, but that had just meant he got to spend a few more minutes on the lovely ship that had been his home for the last four days. Still he was quiet excited to finally be on solid ground once more.
Once off the ship, he made a single stop and that had been to use the restroom. Making sure he looked alright, he combed his hair to look neatly done. Even if it was a hair style many expected was just thrown together out of sheer laziness. It wasn't though.
Finally arriving at the office he leaned his two black suitcases against the wall, before flitting with his black white amount while knocking. It was a strong yet polite knock. Theo then waited to be allowed to enter. He did have an appointment, but it was at ten o'clock that morning, and it was now ten minutes after ten. Hopefully they will understand, after all he couldn't do anything to make the ship, or the line to disembark more faster. |

Principal Sash had almost completed her beginning-of-the-semester paperwork. She should have been finished awhile ago, but there were many distractions in running a school. They were happy distractions, though. She was happy to see the summer get off to a smooth start. There were a few new student stragglers these days, and she was always happy to assist them. Today, she had an appointment with a new student at 10 o'clock. He was late, but that was alright. Appointments were not required. All they really did was ensure that a student would not have to wait due to walk-ins before him. Besides, she was sure the student had been held up for a good reason. She could wait.
Maya had been laying on the desk, watching her trainer on the computer. When there was a knock on the door, she stood up and grabbed a test in her mouth, assuming it was the new student. Sash smiled at her as she stood up as well. "Thank you, girl." She made her way over to the door and opened it. Sure enough, a boy she did not recognize was standing in front of her. "Hello! Do you have an appointment? Or are you a walk-in?" Maya trotted over to her and sat at her heels. The principal bent down and took the test from her jaws. "Either way, you'll have to fill out this test if you want a Pokemon." She held it out for him to take. |

Waiting to be let in he took a deep breath. His eyes scanned around him and he was just so excited to be here. Finally after four days at sea he was now standing outside the Principles Office. Luckily he wasn't in trouble, or at least he hoped he wasn't in trouble. He was ten minutes late after all.
When the door opened he smiled politely to the woman and her pokemon as he was let in. "Yes ma'am. I am Theodore Rodgers. I am afraid I am a bit late for my ten o'clock appointment with you, but there had been some issues with the ship that pushed everything back ten minutes. I apologize." He said politely to her as he took the test and nodded. He then got out a pen and started his test. Thinking about each question he wrote neatly and when finished rose and handed it to the woman. "Alright I am finished. Here you are ma'am." He said in a friendly manner.

Principal Sash smiled and nodded at the explanation."It's quite all right. I understand. We'll get you set up quickly." It was a good thing that he had not run into Vice Principal Turner instead. Turner was very meticulous about being on time. Sash thought he needed to lighten up a bit, but he would not listen. She took the test when the student finished and looked it over. Several Pokemon came to mind, and she quickly chose three. "Just one moment." She handed the paper back to Maya so she could return it to the proper place, while she made her way t the back of the office. She soon returned with three Pokeballs in hand. "Here you are. Choose one of them, please." She released them all for him to see.

Waiting quietly as Principal Sash went to the back Theo looked around the room from where he had been left standing. Getting a nice look for he didn't plan on visiting this office again. Why? Well he was no rebel. Or perhaps he was. He was after all a young man who thought he was smarter then others, not just thought it, but believed it. As the red haired woman returned he looked at her with intellegent eyes and grinned. Watching the pokemon come out one by one. Moving forward he interacted with each of them, and where as they all had their quirks, it was the grass pokemon Snivy that he seemed to bond with rather quickly. As if they where old souls meeting once more after some time apart.
After what was almost ten minutes of him carefully deciding Theo rose to his feet having taken to his knees to be at their level. "Ma'am, I would like Snivy to be my partner please." The young man said as he looked back at the pokemon who smirked at the other two pokemon before stepping closer to Theo in a proud manner.

Sash watched as the boy carefully considered each Pokemon. Some students quickly chose a Pokemon they liked, but others wanted to make sure they made the right choice. The principal saw merit in both methods, and she did not mind waiting as long as the student needed to make his decision. When he finally made a choice, a bright smile crossed her face. "Excellent! Here is its Pokeball." She handed the Snivy's Pokeball to the boy. Then she returned the other two Pokemon before taking them back to where they belonged. When she returned to the student, she was carrying a backpack. "This is your starter pack. You're not all set to go. Good luck!" She hoped he would have many marvelous adventures at the academy.
