Yami gave a loud yawn as he made his way to the battle arena. He was hoping to scope out some competition to see if he could find anyone to battle with. He hadn't seen anyone worth his time lately especially with his newly evolved Shelgon and freshly caught Dragonair the two make quite a powerhouse team especially with his Absol and new Dratini. Of course he had decided to switch his team out today to keep his dragons a secret deciding to keep his newly hatched Gible and his Shelgon in his team but picked only two others his Onix Chiyo, Dedenne Raiton, Vulpix Amaterasu and a Vullaby. His onix he was hoping to use today as he had armed her with a metal coat in order for her to evolve into a steelix the moment he called her forth. He cracked his neck fiddling with the pokeballs attached to his obi sash, well in his Onix's case a masterball. He wore a traditional garb as always kimono top, hakama pants, tabi socks, waraji, obi sash and a haori all black. He felt black suited him more then white did and it went with his hair.
He pushed open the doors of the arena and walked in looking around taking note of the faces of the students already inside either sitting in the stands to watch or battling one another. He saw a few pokemon such as mudkip, pikachu, geodude, pidgey, sentret and many others from the looks of it most of them were new students, rookies. He sighed as he made his way over to an empty battle field and crossed his arms looking across towards the rookies and spoke in a daring manner, "If you have the guts to challenge me step forth. However don't expect to win. I shall crush you effectively under my heel!" spoke Yami as his gaze hardened. There was no sign of arrogance in his tone, no he merely knew his own limitations in battle and was well aware of his battling strength.

Eve walked into the battle arena with his awesome new tepig, omega. The name wasn't really his first choice but it did sound pretty cool, in his mind at least. Anyway, the cute little thing was so nice and playful! The one thing he hadn't tested yet, was his battle skills. Which,in fact, was one part of the reason that Eve was actually in the battle arena. That and because he hadn't actually been yet and wanted to see what it was like.
So far it was way different then what he thought it would be, with multiple battles going on at once. Eve thought it would literally be an arena where people crowd around in the stands to watch one intense battle go on. That would be kind of ridiculous, though, considering that some people might want to train with trainers more of their skill instead of the variety of skill levels with wild pokémon. Seriously, you could find a wild charizard or something while you're out looking for a sewaddle!
Suddenly, someone's voice echoed throughout the hall towards the people just sitting on benches doing nothing. Some really, really, confident guy was talking about people challenging him if said person has he guts to do so. Well, no-one really offered to do it so, blindly, Eve walked up to said person and said "I'd like to challenge you!"
Of course he eventually would regret it but for now he was being young and dumb, like he was supposed to. <Yeah, let's go!I wanna shred some guys pokemon!> He said, smiling.
Eve just looked down creepilly at him, he was not aware of this guys lust for blood, or maybe it was just determination? He'd have to find out the difference later.

Yami run his fingers through his hair, it seemed no one was going to challenge him what a bore. He turned to walk away only to stop as someone said they would challenge him. He turned around to face the young boy who accepted his challenge taking note of the Tepig beside him. He held back a laugh, well this would be fun, for him. He smirked as the Tepig seemed to be up to it, " Well, well, well what have we here, a freshmen huh" commented Yami as he unclipped a pokeball from his belt and began to bounce it up and down, " Catch" he then threw it right at the kid, " Call that a gift, in order to even the odds" called Yami, he didn't need the Vullaby anyway, his dragons were far superior. Yami looked up to his right where it showed a screen with a picture of the two and beneath them six pokeballs, for Yami five were lit up and for Eve four indicating how many pokemon they had. Yami smirked as he turned back to eve, "l ooks like you have one less then me. So how about a four on four battle" spoke Yami as he removed another pokeball from his belt, "Let's see how good you are with that Tepig of yours. Shinya go" Yami threw the sphere up into the air and appearing out of it was a small dragon pokemon, a gible. The ground dragon type landed on the ground wobbling a bit before regaining his bearings. He turned to the Tepig and smirked, <You don't look like much> he spoke with a smug look. Yami smirked, "You can go first kid" While his Gible would be far weaker then the kids Tepig due to him only being a hatchling, Yami had equipped him to make up for this. Level: 1 Attacks: Tackle TM Moves: Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw,Stone Edge, Aerial Ace, Earthquake, Hone Claws Abilities: Sand Veil, Rough Skin Hit By: Used: Health: High Green

Eve was still a little bit flustered about the fact that this guy would just give away his pokémin, weren't they supposed to be friends with pokémon? Well, it didn't matter. That creature was in good hands. The battle began when The kid threw out a gible saying that he could go first. "All right then. Let's go, omega!" Eve said, pointing forward. <Aye, sir!> Omega said, running onto the field, nostrils smoking in anticipation. "Okay then, let's use growl and then incinerate" Eve called out onto the field, waiting for his pokémon to carry out his orders.  Level: 5 Attacks: Tackle, Tail Whip, IncinerateAbilities: Blaze ,ThickfatHit By: Used: growl ,IncinerateHealth: GreenOOC Sorry that this is so short, but I'm actually kind of busy today and I had to get it done because I was feeling kind of bad XP It'll be better next time. |

Yami folded his arms across his chest as the kid actually went with his Tepig. Yami smirked as he looked at his gible, knowing while the Gible was no doubt weaker then the Tepig it held the type advantage and fire type moves were incredibly ineffective against his gible. Yami let the growl work its magic dropping Gible's attack before a wave of fire was released towards his Shinya, " Dodge it!" he shouted. Gible leapt out of the way of the incoming flames narrowly avoiding them. Shinya grinned at the Tepig, "Shinya follow with hone claws and then bring the shake!" Yami commanded. Gible grinned as he lifted his tiny claws making them shimmer as his attack and accuracy grew, his hone claws would neutralise the growls effects. He then lifted his right leg and slammed it down on the battle field making the entire arena shake beneath his earthquake.
