The sound of a tapping cane echoed through the halls as an elderly gentleman hobbled his way towards the classroom of pokemon Philosophy. He had short grey hair and quite the dashing moustache if he had to say. He stroked his long moustache as he hobbled towards his classroom, he was MR. Winston teacher of pokemon philosophy. He chuckled to himself as he removed a key from his pocket and inserted it into the door unlocking it allowing him to step into the room. The old teacher hobbled in making his way over to his desk where he sat down the class roster before lying his coat down over the back of his chair. He pulled the chair out and sat down allowing his bones to rest as he waited patiently for his students to arrive. The students he was in charge of today were Nate Kerston, Gary Oak, Zoey Clowes, Yami Hateshiginaiand Kagirinai Ikazuchiarashi.

It was philosophy time. Gary Oak found philosophy mildly interesting. As a potential Pokemon researcher, it was an important subject for him to learn. He decided to take his Deerling Spirit with him because he was an unusual Pokemon. He was not scared of humans like most Deerling, and he was quite independent. He might enjoy a class like this. Spirit trotted by his trainer's side as they walked down the hall. Opening the door, Gary said that he was the first one there. He nodded at Mr. Winston, the teacher. The elderly man could be kind of boring, but the information he presented was still important. Because of the size of his Pokemon, the two of them found a seat in the back. Then he got out everything he would need for the class so he would be ready for it to begin.

Zoey walked into the classroom where she would have her Philosophy class. From last semester, she thought the class was pretty interesting. She hoped it would be interesting this semester too. True, Mr. Winston was not the most exciting teacher at Cherilli, but she did not think he was as bad as some students thought. Maybe it was just her. She saw Gary was already there, and he had a really cool Deerling! It was funny how Pokemon were what brought her to go over and talk to people instead of just simply wanting to talk to the person themselves. It wasn't that she didn't like the people, she just didn't have anything to say to them all the time. She always adored Pokemon, so she always had something to say when they were around.
She wanted to go over and say hi, but she thought it would be better to do so after class. She had her own Pokemon to worry about. Her newborn Munna, who she had named Grace, was nestling in her arms, fast alseep. She had figured this was the kind of class that would not require much movement or noise, so she thought it would be the perfect place to bring Grace. She was still getting used to the big world out there, after all. Smiling at her, she sat down in the first chair of the middle row, careful not to wake her. She hoped she was having a good dream.

Nate was excited for his next class. The previous semester, he had been unsure if he would enjoy philosophy, but now he found it to be quite interesting. He loved to be alone and think about deep issues, so philosophy was perfect for him. It also helped him better understand humans, Pokemon, and how they were to interact. He held his easygoing Swinub Manny in his arms as he walked down the hall. The class might make the Pokemon bored and fall asleep, but he would not complain like some of the others on his team. If he did manage to pay attention for the whole class, he might learn something he liked. This was the trainer's thought as he stepped into the room.
He paused at the door to look around the room. He recognized Gary from his previous classes. The Deerling he had with him seemed unusually happy among humans. He would usually not sit in the back, but his curiosity got the best of him. He gave a smile and nod to Zoey as he passed her. She looked familiar, but he did not know if he had officially met her. Perhaps he could introduce himself properly later. Once in the back, he sat down next to the Deerling. "Hey, Gary," he said to the other boy. "I like your Deerling." He set Manny down on the desk so he could see what was going on.

Yami sighed as he headed towards his Pokemon Philosophy level II class. He rubbed the back of his neck as he walked through the school halls, an ultra ball in his hand as he bounced it up and down. He was rather interested in the prospect of Pokemon Philosophy and couldn't wait to get started on it, of course he didn't show his excited merely keeping a bland expression in place as he headed on. He normally would have just walked in with his Gible or even Absol but today he was using someone rather special. A pokemon he had just recently caught so he felt like bonding with this pokemon. As he stood outside the classroom door he released the pokemon inside the pokeball allowing it to wrap its body around his own as he entered into the room revealing his pokemon of choice. Wrapped around his torso with his head resting on his shoulder was a beautiful blue Dragonair. The dragonair looked on around the classroom before shutting his eyes and drifted off to sleep as Yami bowed his head to the teacher and walked to the back of the room. He took a seat behind one of the desks allowing his dragonair to curl up on the floor beside him.

Kagirinai rubbed the back of his neck as he made his way to the Pokemon Philosphy Level 2 Class. He was running a little late as he had lost track of time this morning while running an experiment and of course it had blown up in his face so his lab coat was covered in soot and ash with burn marks in various places. The hallways thundered as he rode upon his Tauros through the middle of school in order to get to his class before it would start. Gyuki thundered down the hallways bellowing loudly as his hooves struck the floors making the doors and walls shake in the small hallways. The tauros slid around a corner as Kagirinai pointed to one of the rooms the door wide open. The Tauros dug his hooves in sliding on into the room with Kagirinai on his back. As Gyuki came to a stop Kagirinai was thrown off flying in mid air through the classroom where he flipped himself in mid air and landed on his feet. He walked over to the Tauros not paying attention to the teacher or other students in the room, "Good work Gyuki" he patted the Tauros on the head before walking to a desk where his Tauros stood beside him.

Mr Winston twirled his cane in a cheery manner as he gave a rather joyful laugh as he gazed out onto his lovely group of students. He was currently only missing one student but if they were running late he could wait a few more minutes. He looked out scanning the classroom taking note of the pokemon the students had brought forth with them. The first the young man from Kanto Gary Oak had brought along a Deerling what a fine pokemon. The boys team-mate Zoey with a little Munna sleeping in her arms what a sight. The next the boy from Sinnoh Nate and his Swinub. He turned to the four student the young boy from Hoenn Yami and his Dragonair now what a sight. The teacher smiled at the group before he nearly fell over as the classroom began to shake. He grabbed a desk to steady himself as a Tauros came charging into the room as a young lad in a burned lab coat landed on the ground, ah his final student Kagirinai.
Mr. Winston sat on the edge of his desk to look around the group as he pulled a pokeball from his pocket and tossed it into the air calling out his companion Topper the Baltoy. The teacher smiled at his class as he spoke, "It is a pleasure to see everyone I hope we can have a great year together. To those who know me I am Mr. Winston and this is my Baltoy Topper" The baltoy spun around with a smile, "I am your Pokemon Philosophy Teacher. Now I want each of you to stand up and introduce yourself and your pokemon and tell us a little about yourself. For instance I love reading"

Gary nodded at Nate when he sat next to him. He remembered him from other classes, and he had given him advice about his Pokemon. "Thanks. Swinub is cool as well." He looked to the front of the room when Mr. Winston began to speak. Introductions again? Well, it was good for everyone to know who he was, so he decided to speak up first. "Hello, class," he said, looking around at everyone. "My name is Gary Oak. My grandfather is Professor Oak from the Kanto region. My buddy here is Spirit." The Deerling smiled happily. "I enjoy adventures. A couple of months ago, I followed a tornado and survived! I have pictures if anyone wants to see." Yes, he would be the coolest kid in school!

Nate gave Gary a small smile. "Thank you." He looked at the teacher when he began to talk. He did not mind giving introductions. It was interesting to learn about everyone else in the class. He listened to Gary in curiosity. A tornado? That was quite cool. He decided to go next. "I'm not Kerston. There here is Manny. I hatched him from an egg."Manny looked around sleepily. His trainer paused before continuing. "I grew up in a very small town in Sinnoh with a great community. I hope we can form something like that at school here."

Mr. Winston nodded as each student spoke. Then he began class by handing out the syllabus. He followed with a brief introductary lecture. He finished by telling everyone to read the first chapter in their textbooks.
