OOC: This thread is for Faith and Ayame's battle. In roleplay time this will occur after Shizuko and Kiki's battle. Faith will post first. She will also have the first move.
IC: There had been another break after the fist battle. When it was completed, Principal Sash returned to the field. "Thank you all for waiting. Next up, we have Faith from Hoenn and Ayame from Sinnoh!" She walked back to her seat to watch the battle. |

Faith was pleasantly surprised that she had managed to pass the appeals round of the contest and move onto the battle round. She knew her mother had been watching from home, and she hoped she was proud of her. She was going to do her best to win her battle for her mother, her Pokemon, and herself. She held herself well as she walked out onto the stage and took her place on her side of the battlefield. There was only one Pokemon she wanted with her right now. "Come on, Willy." Her Bidoof appeared and gave her a warm smile. They were in this together.

Ayame walked off onto the stage in a simple white gown and brown boots with grey leggings and a ribbon hairband. Her hair was pulled into a tight dutch braid with a loin's tail at the end. Her Ralts walked quietly aside her, unlike her Roselia, he had cute kids and baby pokemon watching he had to make an impression to make. He They walked up the steps onto the stage, the Ralts was silent, as they talk though their ability telepathy. <Let's battle! I have strong moves, but I bet you do too.> He friendly said to the Bidoof. Faith gave Ayame a small smile when she appeared. Her Ralts looked like an elegant Pokemon. He would do well in the contest. The young girl could hardly wait to begin. "Ok, Willy, let's start off with Growl and Tackle!" They could not do fancy combinations, but they had trained to make the Bidoof's moves look the best they could.
Willy smiled at the Ralts. <Yes, I do, thanks,> he said to him. <Good luck!> He was glad the other Pokemon was friendly. He wanted this to be a fun and enjoyable experience. He growled in an endearing way to hopefully win over the crowd. Then he bounded across the stage almost in little bounces, aiming to hit the Ralts.

Ayame smiled back and stretched a bit. "Psyche! Growl and then dodge!" Ralts growled in the most inedearing way he could to win the crowd back over. And as the the Bidoof approached he spin-dodged out of the way, only to stumble. "Now, Dazzling Gleam!" The Ralts jumped up and let out a beautiful pink light attack. Level: 9 Type: Psychic/Fairy Attacks: Growl, Confusion, Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball, Will O' Wisp, Thunder Wave, Telekinesis Abilities: Synchronize, Trace, Telepathy Hit By: - Used: - Health: Full (High Green) Points: 90 |

Faith had to admit, that Dazzling Gleam was quite impressive for a contest battle. She could not wait until Willy learned cooler and more powerful moves. "Dodge it!" Instead the Bidoof was struck by the attack. "It's alright. Use Aqua Tail!"
Willy grit his teeth in frustration when his attack missed. He was momentarily distracted by Dazzling Gleam and unable to dodge. He regained his composure and prepared to attack back. He bounded toward the Ralts. When he got near, he spun around and attempted to strike him with his water-covered tail.

OOC: Unfortunately, Ayame has left us. We're going to say the character had a family emergency and had to leave. Faith wins by default. Willy will gain one level for battling. IC: Principal Sash listened as Ayame explained she had just received a text message that there was a family emergency. After she had left the stage, Sash stepped up to speak to the crowd. "I'm sorry about this, folks, but these things happen," she said into the microphone. "This means that Faith has won and will be moving onto the final round. Congratulations!" She hoped the final round would be an exciting battle to make up for this one. |
