OOC: This thread is for Faith and Kiki's battle. Faith will go post first. She also has the first move.
Principal Sash thought this contest was going much better than the previous one. This time, only one trainer had forfeited. She was sure they could keep building on their successes and make the contests a great part of the school. After the break, she stepped forward and grabbed the microphone. "We're back, folks. Thanky ou for sticking with us. Faith and Kiki will be battling it out for the contest ribbon!" She walked back to her seat as the audience cheered. It was time to begin. |

Faith was a bit disappointed that her battle with Ayame had been cut short. She understood it was an emergency, and she hoped the girl would be alright. She could not believe she was now in the final round. She was unsure is she was prepared since she had not actually won her previous battle. Plus, she understood she was facing off against the winner of the previous contest. Of course, this would all be great experience even if she did not win, so she would give it her all. There was a small smile on her face as she walked onto the battlefield. "It's time, Willy." She tossed a Pokeball in the air, and the Bidoof appeared before her. He looked up at her with a confident grin. It was time to battle!

Kiki stepped out onto the stage with excitement in her eyes. She had gotten tot he final round once again, and this time she had done so by beating her opponent! She could not wait to see what would happen no. It would be great if she could win again, but she would not be too disappointed if she did not. She did not recognize the girl standing on the other side of the battlefield. She looked pretty young. "Good luck," she said to her. She hope she did well so that that they could have an awesome battle. She looked the Bidoof over for a minute before deciding who she should choose. "Come on out, Ella." The shiny Eevee was beautiful and graceful, and her trainer was hoping that would work in her favor.
Ella cast a small smile at the Bidoof. <Hello,> she said softly. <Good luck today.> Even though they had to battle each other, she hoped they could be friends. He seemed nice!

Faith smiled at Kiki. She was glad she was nice, for that would make this all the better." "Thanks. Good luck to you too. You Eevee is really cute." She wondered where she had gotten her. She would have to remember to ask later. Right now, she had a battle to win. "Alright, Let's start off with Aqua Tail!" This was it!
Willy nodded at the Eevee. <Thanks. You too.> He could already feel excitement building inside of him, and he could not wait to get started. At his trainer's command, he raced towards his opponent. When he neared her, he turned around to hit her with his water-covered tail.

"Thank you," Kiki said in response to the compliment. She could already tell this was going to go well. So, the Bidoof knew Aqua Tail? That was interesting. "Dodge and use Tackle!" The Eevee had never been in a battle before, but they had trained very hard. They could do this.
Ella braced herself when she saw Willy running towards. She was unsure what Aqua Tail was, but she knew it was something she should avoid. While the Bidoof was turning around, she leapt to the right, missing the attack. She then continued running until she was aiming at her opponent. Then she went in for the Tackle, her tail flowing behind her.

That Eevee moved fast. Faith quickly came up with a plan to counter this. "Willy, Growl and use Tackle yourself!" That should give him the edge. If this was successful, they could try Aqua Tail again.
Willy skidded to a halt when he felt that he had hit nothing. He turned to see where the Eevee had gone, but she slammed into his side. He growled at her as he leapt to her feet. Then he took off after her for a Tackle of his own, making his paws as light on the ground as possible.

The two Pokemon appeared equally matched, making Faith wonder how this was going to turn out. She was still not used to the fast-paced thinking that battling required. Ella only knew one damaging move, so at least she did not think about that. "Ok, Ella, let's use Tail Whip and Tackle." Yeah, that should be good.
Ella smiled when she felt her attack work. The Growl she heard momentarily startled her, and she was unable to get out of the way of the Bidoof's Tackle. She nearly fell to the ground but managed to keep her balance. She swiftly turned around and waved her bushy tail at her opponent. Then she took off running, going around in a circle before coming back at the Bidoof.

Faith was impressed by the little Eevee. She certainly was well-suited for contest battles. The girl hoped Willy would be able to keep up. The on-coming Tackle gave her an idea. "Don't let her get away! Use Aqua Tail!" This was their chance!
Willy was frustrated that the Tail Whip cancelled out his Growl. Before he could decide what to do about it, he was hit by another Tackle. His trainer's words rang in his ears as he stood back up. He had this! He turned his back to the Eevee and attempted to attack her with Aqua Tail.

Kiki frowned when she realized what was happening. The Bidoof was too quick for her Eevee to be able to dodge. She was going to have to think of something good soon. There was one attack she had not tried yet, so she decided to see how it would work. "Sand Attack and Tackle!" It would be much easier to use good contest combinations once Ella learned more moves.
Ella's eyes widened when she saw the Aqua Tail. She was helpless to do anything as she was struck by the attack. She struggled to stand up but managed it. She could do this! She skidded forward, throwing sand and dirt into the air. Then she gracefully leapt straight up into the air, aiming to come down on the Bidoof.

Faith smiled when the Aqua Tail worked perfectly. It faltered, however, at the Eevee's next attack. She had not seen Sand Attack coming, and it hit Willy right in the face. "Hang in there! Use Growl and Tackle!" She hoped he would be able to see well enough to land the hit.
Willy turned back around after he had finished his attack. Success! He celebrated too soon. As soon as he faced the Eevee again, he was greeted by sand being flung at him. He cried out as he backed up and stumbled. He was hit by a Tackle he could not see coming. Growling, he slit his eyes and attempted to use Tackle right back.

Kiki was pleased that the Sand Attack had been a success. Perhaps now they could get the upper-hand. "Quick, dodge it and use Tackle!" She glanced over at the score board to see that she had a few more points than her opponent. This was going to be a close one.
The Bidoof was not aiming very well, so Ella was able to gracefully bound out of the way. She continued running in a circle, making nice leaps for effect. Then she turned on Willy and sped up to Tackle him. She hoped he still had sand in his eyes so that she would not miss. This was going well so far.

Faith watched in dismay as the Eevee was able to dodge the attack. This was not looking good for her so far. Kiki was getting in more hits and her attacks looked better. She wished she had trained more. She needed a way to use Aqua Tail without their opponent dodging. An idea suddenly came to her. "Willy, jump up and then use Aqua Tail!"
Willy still good not see very well, and he became frustrated when he missed his target because of it. He was then truck by the Eevee again, and he held in a cry. Fortunately, the blow knocked out the last of the sand from his eyes. Now it was time to get back at that Eevee! He started to run towards her. When he got close, he leapt into the air over her. He aimed carefully, falling so that his tail would strike his opponent upon landing.

Kiki was impressed by the way her opponent managed to overcome a weakness. The move had made a large cut in her points. Now the battle was very close. She was glad to have found a worthy opponent, and she was determined to finish strong. "Ok, Ella, now use Tail Whip and Tackle!" They needed to make up for the Bidoof's strong move.
Ella looked up in surprise to see Willy flying over her. Before she could decide what to do, his tail truck her in the back. She cried out as the force of the attack made her fall to the ground. She got up and, before turning around, whipped her tail in the direction of the Bidoof. Then she spun around and charged at him for a Tackle.

Faith watched as the Eevee performed another great combination. Even if she ended up losing, this battle had given her great ideas for the future. Right now, though, she was more focused on defeating the other Pokemon than anything else since that seemed the best way for her to win the contest. "Willy, face backward an use Aqua Tail when she hits you!" It was risky, but it could prove effective.
Willy backed up when he saw the Eevee using Tail Whip. Not that again. He wanted to attempt to dodge, but he listened to his trainer. He spun around and activated his Aqua Tail. Then he moved backward so he hit the Eevee just as she ran into them. The Tackle hurt, but he hoped his own attack had been effective.

Kiki was surprised at how bold her opponents were. Their strategy certainly was effective. Both Pokemon were wearing down, and this was going to be a close one. She tried to think of how to best show off her Eevee and make her look as cute as possible. "Ella, Growl and then leap at her!" She hoped she got the picture.
Ella was not expecting the Aqua Tail, and there was nothing she could do to stop it. She fell to the ground after completing the Tackle. She slowly stood back up and turned around. She let out a low growl while fluffing out her tail. Then she bounded toward the Bidoof, leaping at the last second to strike.
