Appearance: Micah is a rather average looking boy. A recent growth spurt left him tall and lanky for his age. He’s got black hair constantly in need of a trim that is generally styled into messy spikes, giving him the appearance that he just got out of bed. He has expressive green eyes with what appear to be flecks of gold that rest behind square glasses. He is lightly muscled and has a nice tan.

Personality: Micah is one of the most independent, stubborn, and strong-willed people you will ever meet. He is a loyal boy and will do anything for the people he cares about. For how much he cares about others, it takes him a while to truly open up to others and trust them. However, that doesn’t stop him from thinking of someone as a friend from the first meeting.
He is a motivated individual when it comes to training, but he also has a tendency to be rather lazy at other times. Most of the time, he is laid back and easy going. He is an outgoing and social boy, preferring to be surrounded by a large number of people and/or pokemon at all times. He is confident in his abilities, bordering on arrogance, but he also has some insecurities that he will never talk about.
History: Micah was born and raised in Slateport City. Both of his parents had traveled the regions hoping to win the various gym challenges, meeting in the Hoenn region in their teens and traveling together. Eventually, they returned back to Hoenn to have a family. His mother now works in a shop at the Slateport market, and his father works as on one of the ships in the area. His parents weren’t overly wealthy, so they lived in an apartment that was relatively small for the size of his family.
Micah is the oldest of four children, and he helped to raise his younger brother and sisters as his dad was often out at sea and his mother worked long hours at the shop. He knew, for as long as he could remember, that he wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps and attempt the gym challenge. He had wanted to leave home at the age of ten like many young trainers, but he wanted to make sure that his younger siblings were taken care of. He waited until the youngest two, a set of twins, were old enough to start their own Pokemon journeys before leaving the nest as well. He misses all of his siblings fiercely, but he chose not to accompany them on any of their respective journeys.
Micah had thought about taking the traditional route and going to get his starter from a lab to just jump right in, but he decided on alternative route. He wanted to go to attend the Cherrilli Academy in hopes of catching up to his peers that started their journeys earlier. He had always assumed that those who started their journeys at the age of ten had a leg up on those that started later, and he wanted to be able to defeat them when the time came.
