OOC: This thread is for Yami and Paul's battle, and it occurs second in roleplay time. Yami should post first. He also has the first move. IC: There was a short break after the first round. Once the crowd started to get restless again, Principal Sash walked back up the battlefield with a microphone. "Thank you for waiting," she said. "Next up, we have Yami from Hoenn and Paul from Sinnoh!" She smiled as she headed back to her spot beside Maya. Shewas anxious to find out the match-up for the final round.

Paul entered the battlefield. Having won the wildcard round, he was now advancing to the semifinals. The previous battle had been pitifully easy and simple. Thorn didn't even have a scratch on him, due to his powerful Absorb move. His opponent had not even stood a chance. He hoped this battle would prove more challenging. He still hoped to win, but it would benefit him more if his Pokemon had to work. Winning the tournament was not his main goal; he wanted to use it as a training activity to get his Pokemon even stronger. Once he stood in his place on the battlefield, he took out a Pokeball and threw it. "Private, stand by for battle!" His Farfetch'd appeared, immediately readying himself for battle.

OOC: I'm giving Yami 60 hours (Wednesday at 11:59 pm eastern time) to respond or he foreits and Paul wins by default.

Principal Sash watched as Paul stepped onto the battlefield. She had not see his Farfetch'd before, and she wondered how tough he was. She waited patiently for Yami to show. When 15 minutes passed and there was still only one trainer there, she figured something must have happened. The rules were that Yami had to forfeit, so she stood up with her microphone to call the match. "I'm sorry, folks," she said in a regretful tone. "It does not look like Yami will be showing up, so Paul wins by default. We will see him in the final round." There was little applause this time, which she understood. She just hoped the final battle would be a great one.
