Zane had finally arrived at Cherilli Academy, and he was pumped. He was grateful for his parents registering for the school. Though he wanted to go on a journey, he knew a journey would take him too far away from home. This way, he and his family could visit each other when they wanted. After he graduated, he would be ready to journey on his own. Another reason he was excited for school was all of the people he would meet. He loved making friends! He hoped he could make some good ones that he could travel with later. Everything was better when there were others around! Of course, the idea of meeting Pokemon from every region was also quite intriguing.
Zane had neglected to tell the principal of his arrival at the school. He hoped she would not be busy and would have time to meet with him. He really wanted to get his first Pokemon today. He hoped it would be a dragon type, though he loved other types of Pokemon as well. It was his dream to one day become a dragon master, and he was sure the academy would give him all the tools he needed to achieve that dream. After he got his Pokemon, he would be heading to his hall to check out his dorm. Though he came from Unova, he had chosen Kalos because he had always found the region quite interesting and wanted to try something new. Thoughts were buzzing around in his head as he reached the office. He held up his hand and knocked three times. Then he waited. |

Mr. Turner sat in his office, thumbing through some paperwork and looking over the semester's schedule, doing what was a huge part of his job and making sure all of the classes being offered this semester were filled adequately to validate offering them and not overflowing with students. He was aware of Principal Sash's absence for the afternoon, and when he heard a knock, he knew it would be beneficial for all parties involved to answer it even though it was on Principal Sash's door. Seeing a student he didn't recognize, he figured the young man was here for his first Pokemon. "Young man, Principal Sash is out for the afternoon on important business, but if you need any assistance, I would be happy to help, since I'm in charge when she's not around. Please, step into my office." He was a bit wordy sometimes, but didn't need to explain further, he hoped, and as he turned on his heel, making his way back to his desk, he dug a copy of the student personality test out of his desk drawer and placed it in front of the guest chair on the opposite side of his desk. "If you're here to receive a starter Pokemon, I'll need you to fill out this form please. Otherwise, just tell me what you need and I'll be glad to help."( Link to Personality Test) |

Zane stared up at the man that appeared before him. Since e was definitely not Principal Sash, he must ave been the vice principal. He nodded when he told him that he could help him. Great! He did not want to have to come back at a later time. He needed his first Pokemon right now! "Thank you, sir," he said as he walked inside the room and looked around. This was a pretty nice place. "Yes. I'm here for a starter. Thanks." He took the paper from him and pulled out a pen. Hmm... It looked like a personality test. This should be easy. He quickly filled it out. Then he held out the completed forms to Turner. "I'm finished." He hoped he would get a Pokemon now!

Vice Principal Turner sat down as he waited for the young lad to complete the personality test. He felt like he was in a dream. This day had been certainly magical, at least to him. Normally, he did not speak the way he did towards Zane, in a friendly way. Normally, he detested dealing with new students and students in general. However, today was different. Why? He had no idea. Maybe it had something to do with that strange Pokemon he had encountered on his morning walk...
The student knocked him out of his thoughts. Deciding to dwell on it one he left, Turner took the paper and glanced down at it. This was certainly a rambunctious boy. That made him think of three easy Pokemon he knew they had. He went to the back of the room and selected three Pokemon. He returned to Zane and let all three of the Pokemon out. "Choose one of these three Pokemon for your first Pokemon," he told him. All three of the Pokemon grew excited at the sight of a new trainer, and they all crowded around him enthusiastically.

Zane watched in excitement as Turner left after reading his paper. He soon returned with three Pokeballs. The boy watched curiously as the Pokemon were released. They certainly were an excitable little bunch. He stepped closer to them as they gathered around. "You all seem great," he said with a grin. A thoughtful look crossed his face as he examined each one. The Growlithe interested him since he loved fire types. But the monkey would certainly be a fun companion. He lingered the most on the Pichu. The little guy was really cute and full of energy. Electric types were also his second favorite type of Pokemon. Plus, a Raichu would be the easiest evolved form of the three to ride a dragon with. "I choose the Pichu." He gave the other two a sad smile. "Sorry you guys." If only he could take them all home. |

Turner waited as the student decided on which Pokemon he would choose as his starter. Uncharacteristically, he was not impatient about it. Once he told him, he returned the other two Pokemon and walked to the back of the room again. He put the Pokeballs away and found a backpack. He came back to Zane and handed the backpack and an empty Pokeball to him. "This has everything you need to start out. Now, you may leave." He sat back down at his desk and waited for the boy to leave. He was still feeling pretty good, and he was still confused as to why. This was not normal. He would have to think about it more once he was alone.

Zane watched excitedly as Turner went back to gather the rest of his teams. "Thank you, sir," he said as he eagerly took the bag and Pokeball. He slipped the backpack on his back and put the Pokeball on his belt. Then he bent down to stare at the Pichu. "Hi! You're a girl, right? Hmm... I think I'll call you Tessie." The Pichu smiled at the name. "Great! Now climb on." He extended his arm for the little one. The Pichu hopped onto his arm and climbed up until she was on his shoulder. Zane stood up and saluted Turner. "I'm out. Thanks for everything!" Then he turned and trotted out of the room. His adventure was about to begin! OOC: finished |
