Fun at the Festival [Open]

Nate was enjoying his time at the festival. The food and games were the best parts. He just had to sample everything, and Watcher, his Eevee, agreed. The two of them were currently munching on fried giant pretzels as they walked along. There were aisles of booths as far as the eyes could see, must of them stands for food or games. "What do you want to do now?" he asked his friend after swallowing. At the end of the aisle was a stage where a bang played and a dance floor where many people were gathered. It was too noisy for him over there, so he decided to stay back and enjoy himself here. Watcher led the way this time to scout out a game for them to play. Perhaps this time they would win a prize!

Kiki thought the festival was a great idea. She loved summer, and she thought this was a good idea to say goodbye with it. Plus, she loved all of the flowers that were on display everywhere. Her Bayleef, Alice, enjoyed everything as well. The festival was perfect for the grass type. The two of them founs some flower Pokemon hanging around and had a good time with them. Afterward, they found a snack in one of the booths and played a couple of games. As they were walking around, Kiki spotted someone she recognized. "Hey, Nate!" she called as she ran over to her friend. She was pleased to find someone she knew at the festival. "How are you doing? Are you enjoying yourself?"
<Hello, Nate,> Alice said with a smile. She then turned to the Eevee, who she recognized as Watcher. <Are you having fun? This place is great, isn't it?> She just loved festivals and flowers!

Nate smiled when Kiki approached. He was glad to finally see someone he recognized. "Hi, Kiki," he said cheerfully. "I'm doing great! This festival is pretty fun. How are you doing?" He looked down at Alice to see that there was something different about her. "Congratulations on evolving, Alice." He stroked her head with his right hand. Then he looked up at her trainer and added "She's been raised well." He always loved seeing Pokemon grow and evolve through training and love. He could tell Kiki cared a lot about Pokemon.
Watcher ran forward to greet Alice. She was a lot bigger than the last time he had seen her. He could not wait to evolve himself! <Hi, Alice. You look great. I am having fun. Festivals are nice.> And they were even better with good friends.

Kiki was glad to see that he was in a good mood. Events like this seemed to bring out the best in everyone. "I'm pretty good myself. Thanks." She smiled when she complimented Alice on evolving. She had been proud if her that day. It had taken a lot of attention, care, and work to get to that point, but it had been worth it. There was just one more evolution to go. "Thank you. Your Eevee looks well-raised too." She paused. Eevee had many different evolutions, and she wondered which one Nate would choose. "Do you have any idea which Pokemon you would like Watcher to evolve into?" She would have to make the same decision with her own Eevee, though she would probably end of choosing the grass type, Leafeon.
<Thank you,> Alice said to Nate when the trainer complimented her. She looked at Watcher and smiled. <Hello. Thanks. This festival is pretty fun. I love the sites and smells.>

Nate watched the two Pokemon interact for a minute. It was good to see them get along. Pokemon needed friends too! Then he looked at Kiki and smiled. "Thank you. I'm hoping to have him evolve into an Umbreon." He had always loved dark type Pokemon, and he thought Umbreon was an awesome Pokemon. It would take some effort and great timing for this to happen, but if they worked together, he was sure it could be done. "Don't you have an Eevee?" He thought he remembered seeing her with a shiny Eevee once. If this was true, her Eevee should meet his.
<Yes, it is pretty great,> Watcher said. <The food is amazing.> He was not hungry anymore, but he would still eat another snack!

"Oh, cool," said Kiki. Umbreon were awesome. "Good luck with that." If she remembered correctly, Eevee evolved into Umbreon through friendship at night. Being a great breeder, she was sure Nate could get it done. She smiled when he asked about her own Eevee. "Yes. I'm thinking about having her evolve into a Leafeon. Grass type Pokemon are my favorite. Right, Alice?" She grinned at the Bayleef. She hoped to have enough Pokemon for a full grass team someday. Then she would train them to help her in collecting herbs and crating natural remedies. She had already was doing well with her starter. The future was full of so many possibilities!
<Oh, yes,> Alice said in agreement. She grinned back at Kiki when she mentioned here. <We should all so something together.> She wanted to have some more fun!

A Staraptor watched the group, from the sky's in the air. He started to glide downwards, slowly, hoping not to scare anything, since his kinds pokedex entry wasn't the nicest. He had a lot of blue parts, and a metal collar around his right foot, "Dragoras", it said. He suddenly dived, before slowing down when close to the ground. <Hello. I'm a Staraptor, I know you're an Eevee,> Dragoras said, before turning to Alice: <But what exactly are you? I've never seen your kind before.> He examined Alice, watching her with his blue eyes.

"Thanks," said Nate. He nodded when the girl mentioned evolving her Eevee into a Leafeon. "That's a good choice. Good luck to you too. You'll just need a leaf stone." he found all the Eevee evolutions quite fascinating. Maybe he would get a chance to catch another one someday. "I'm not sue what my favorite type of Pokemon is. Maybe dark." He wanted to have a wide variety of Pokemon on his team. There was something great about each type! He seemed to be doing a good job of having a diverse team so far, but there was room for improvement. He suddenly looked up when he saw something flying down towards them. "Hey, it's a Staraptor." He wondered what he wanted. He did not seem threatening, which was good. "Hello there."
Watcher nodded when Alice made her suggestion. <Yeah, let's do something fun.> He was momentarily distracted when the Staraptor swooped down close to them. He offered him a friendly smile when he spoke. <Hi. My name's Watcher.>

Dragoras' blue crest got in the way of his sight, and he did a hair flip, as he smiled at Watcher. <Nice to meet you, watcher. I'm Dragoras, or at least, that's what my trainer used to call me.> He said, smiling. He looked up at the male trainer, and smiled at him as well, as he chirped.

"Right." she would find a leaf stone somewhere when she was ready. Then she would have a beautiful shiny Leafeon! "Dark Pokemon are interesting." There was something mysterious about them. While they were not her favorite, she was interested in catching one and getting to know it better. Who knew what could come from that? It sounded like a fun adventure. She followed Nate's gaze as the Staraptor flew down. She noticed that he seemed to have a collar on his foot. Did he have a trainer? That would explain why he seemed pretty friendly. Hmm... She wondered if he needed some help. "Hi. Did you lose your trainer?" She looked around, but everyone at the festival seemed to be enjoying the fun; no one appeared worried about a lost Pokemon.
Alice looked curiously at the Staraptor. She had never seen a Pokemon like him before, and it seemed like the feeling as mutual. <I'm a Bayleef. I evolved from a Chikorita. My name is Alice.> He seemed nice enough. Maybe they could be friends! <Where is your trainer?> It seemed odd he was here alone.

Dragoras looked up, at the trainers, and then down at the Pokémon. It seemed he was the center of attention, although he didn't know why. <No, I didn't lose my trainer, I was stolen a while ago as a Staravia, the evolution after Starly and before Staraptor, which I am now. I escaped, fled, and ended up here.> He said, looking down at the ground.

Nate wished he could undestand what the flying type was saying. Kiki did seem to have a point about him having a trainer. He wondered if the collar around his leg would give them a clue. He knelt down near the Staraptor to see if he could get a closer look. "Do you mind if I take a look at that?" he asked gently, his eyes on the collar. If it said anything, he still could not read it from this angle. Maybe there was an address on it.
Watcher's eyes widened as he listened to the Staraptor. <That's terrible! Do you have any idea where your trainer is now?> He could not imagine going through something like that. He wondered if he could help out.

Dragoras put his paw up and nodded at the trainer. He then looked at watcher. <I think he's somewhere in sinnoh. I don't know which way sinnoh is and I was captured a few years ago, I hardly remember what he looked like.> He said, as he started to look down at the ground below his feet, again.

Kiki remained silent while Nate checked out the collar on the Staraptor's foot. This really was quite strange. She wished she could understand what the Pokemon was saying so it would be easier to help. Maybe Officer Jenny or Nurse Joy would be able to lend a hand. This was assuming that the flying type had not run away form his trainer, which was another possibility.
Alice listened carefully to the Staraptor. She glanced at Watcher when he mentioned Sinnoh. <Hey, isn't your trainer from Sinnoh?> She was not sure how helpful this information was, but it was at least something.

Nate reached out and gently held the Staraptor's leg so he could get a look at the collar. "Hmm... 'Dragoras.'" That must be his name. As far as he could tell, there was nothing else written there. He let go of the flying type's leg and stood back up. He was not sure what else he could do here. The Staraptor did not seem that distressed, so maybe he would be fine. "Did you just come to say hi, or do you need our help with something?" He glanced at Kiki to see if she had any ideas.
Watcher nodded. <That's right.> He doubted Nate knew the trainer, though. Sinnoh was a big place.
