Ameila is not you average teen in the Pokemon world. She wasn't anxious to start a journey or becoming coordinator. She actually never intended to do anything related to Pokemon. She is what you consider a social butterfly and generally tries to keep to herself. While she will talk to people, she won't engage in conversations actively if not she is not the focal point of the conversation at hand. It might seem selfish and it is but Ameila just does not feel comfortable talking to people. This is only usually happens when she is in a class or somewhere in public. Once in a dorm her personality does a 180 degree turn. Other than her general social shyness, Amelia is a general caring person who never seems to get a word in. This does get on her nerves a lot so sometimes she will burst out and share her "feelings" with the people who won't let her get a word in. So in summary, she is basically a shy, awkward girl who has a temper if people trample too much on her.
History:
Born in Icirrus City, Amelia is used to colder climate and 24 hour rain that rolls along in the spring and fall months. She has lived in only in Unova, even though her parents and older siblings are from Hoenn. Her not living in Hoenn has to do mainly because of a troubling events that went on during the era of Team Aqua and Magma. Her mom was sent to Unova by her father. She was pregnant at the time and moved in with her grandparents. Fast forward a year after Amelia's birth, her father moved into Icirrus city with her mother. Her siblings remained in Hoenn since they established their own carees there. At first, Amelia was upset that she did not grow up in Hoenn like her siblings but eventually Unova grew on her. She became rather attached to the region, especially her hometown of Icirrus. Seeing the city is one of the less populated areas in the region, making friends was an less painful endeavor. For her first few years of her life, Amelia was taught mostly at home because her father was paranoid that someone would kidnap her. This changed after Team Magma and Aqua finally fell. She eventually got enrolled in the local school and lived a relatively normal life. This "normal life" slowly diminished when the prospect of going on a journey came into view. Amelia was never really interested in going on your traditional Pokemon journey. This made life rather miserable, mainly because everyone around her wanted to go on a journey. Eventually one by one, her friends went on their journeys. Amelia became increasingly isolated and lonelier by the second. Her parents, concerned of this, looked for an alternative. This alternative was Cherilli Academy.
