It was in the morning at Cherillia Academy, after the first bell went to signify the start of school, a bus arrived at the front gates before coming to a stop and it's door opening. There was only one person on there this time, it was a short girl with long blue hair that almost reached her feet, which seemed a bit odd, but definitely possible. She was wearing a black coat, a blue skirt, long black stockings, and a white long scarf wrapped around her neck and almost at her mouth. So the girl was a petite girl for her age but was able to carry around her suitcase with ease as she hopped off of the bus. Truth be told, she was a bit tired from the trip she had, from Johto all the way to where Cherilli Academy was, having had to take a plane trip and a bus ride to get to the Academy was a long process with all of the waiting but she managed to get through it will only little fatigue, though the minute she got to her room Tsumiki was most likely going to lay down on her bed, or any bed at that matter.
Once the blue haired girl entered the Academy, she looked around the empty halls while she went to the principal's office, it seemed as if most of the students were in class right about now, so she didn't need to worry about anyone bumping into her.
Tsumiki then arrived at the main office where the principal's office was, and she stood right in-front of the door with one hand on the handle of her suitcase, and the other politely knocking on the door to maybe get the Principal's attention and/or see if it was ok for her to come in yet. Her parents made sure to arrange the appointment at 9:00AM so then it was when the students were all in class, and also not too late so that then Tsumiki can get more time to be accustomed to her new environment which she'll spend a few years at while also learning about pokémon. She was also told she was going to be given a pokémon of her own too...... 'I wonder which one I'll get.....' Tsumiki thought as she stood away from the door incase there was someone in there and the door opened, she didn't want to get hit by the door after all.

Vice Principal Turner was usually the one who opened the office because he was naturally an early riser, while Principal Sash enjoyed sleeping in. However, she knew how Turner got with students who registered for the academy in the middle of the semester. True, he was always short with students, but these ones in particular he did not like. Therefore, when an appointment was set up for this day, Sash told Turner she would get up early this time. Besides, she loved meeting with new students, so it would not be that much of a sacrifice.
She was at her desk drinking coffee and watching online videos when she heard a knock on the door. Her Vulpix, Maya, was still sleeping at her feet, so she was careful to step over her as she got up. She grabbed a test from the top of a pile on her desk as she strolled over to the door. She swung open the door and gave the new student a bright smile. "Hello there! Welcome to Cherilli Academy. I'm Principal Sash. You must be Tsumiki Miniwa. To get started, you'll need to fill this out." She handed her the sheet of paper that contained the quiz questions. She certainly seemed like an interesting girl. She wondered which Pokemon she would get. |

As Tsumiki waited outside she simply thought to herself in peace about what life might be like now that she was in an Academy, that and also she arrived a bit earlier than when the appointment was exactly, so she may or may not have time to spare. The latter of which was true as the door opened only moments after she had knocked and a happy Principal opened the door with a smile, apparently this one is much more merry than the stereotype that most people were accustomed too. Regardless, Tsumiki looked to the test that was handed to her and took it with a nod, then silently going ahead to fill in the questions after she had grabbed a pen from one of the pockets of her suitcase, which most likely held her stationary items. After she was done writing down the answers to the questions, the blue haired girl passed the test back to Sash and said; "Here." after she was done.

True, this test wasn't much of a test, more-so a personality quiz, but Tsumiki tried her best to answer as truthfully as possible. Though she did wonder why such a quiz was needed, well, she'll find out eventually. Right now the main thing on her mind was finding something soft to lay down on and then rest, like a bed, a rest on a bed would be good right about now.

Sash walked back to her desk and leaned against it. She filled the time by going through her day in her mind. There was a lot of work to be done, but she was sure she could do it. Once she was finished, perhaps she could take a nice walk with Maya outside. The two of them enjoyed that very much. When the student had finished, the principal walked back to her and took the test from her hands. She quickly read the answers, immediately getting an idea as to which Pokemon she should let her choose from.
"Just a second, dear." She headed for the back of the room, dropping the paper off on her desk as she passed. She pulled upon a pair of doors to reveal the storage area. She rummaged for a minute and then pulled out three Pokeballs. She then walked back to the girl with the Pokeballs. "Alright; I will show you three Pokemon, and you may choose one for your starter." She proceeded to release all three Pokemon from their Pokeballs so the girl could take a look at them.

Tsumiki yawned as she waited to see what the result of her 'test' was and what might happen next because of that. To which the blue haired girl saw the Principal disappear into the back of the room and then into some-sort of a storage area, so while Sash was in there, Tsumiki decided to sit down somewhere while she waited and just began day dreaming about what life might be like now or what she wanted to be when she graduated. Meanwhile she also got a glance of what was in the storage room and the petite girl saw that it was filled with dozens upon dozens of pokéballs, most likely starters for new students to take with them, so she was expecting something like a Squirtle or a Turtwig.
But much to Tsumiki's suprise, they weren't regular old starter pokemon, well except for Cyndaquil but she didn't mind. It was odd seeing a Taillow and a Purrloin in the starter mix too so perhaps that test had something to do with it, so that's what it was for...... When the Principal said to choose one starter out of the three Tsumiki then nodded to show she understood, so she then bent down a bit to fully be on eye level with the small pokemon and see which one she would take on for her starter.
The first choice, a Taillow, didn't peak much of the cat-like girl's interest as she has seen tons of them in battle and they don't really tickle her fancy for these kind of things, so the Tiny Swallow pokemon wasn't gonna be her starter. Moving her gaze onto the one on the far right as it was the second different starter, it was a Purlloin, these things were a dark type which was new for a starter pokemon and would sound a bit farfetch'd but it was also interesting what capabilities she could have with it, that and also it seemed either relatable to since Tsumiki was somewhat into cats or like it had a mischievous personality.
Last but not least Tsumiki looked at the middle pokémon which was one she was quite familiar with from her home region, it was a Cyndaquil. These things looked nice enough, they had good potential, looked kinda cute, and the warmth coming from it was almost enough to knock Tsumiki out because she was that tired, not only were those things good about this one, but she could feel a certian..... bond between her and the Fire Mouse pokemon. They both originated from the same region, they both had a tired look in there eyes, but then again Cyndaquil's eyes always looked shut, and they both looked like they knew each other. It was certain. This was the one. So after thinking, Tsumiki gently grabbed the Cyndaquil and picked it up before holding it close to her. "Can I have this one?" she asked, looking at the Cyndaquil she placed on her lap.

Sash stood there while the girl examined the Pokemon. She wondered what went through students' minds when they were making this decision. She herself had never gotten to choose a starter. Her dad had bought a Vulpix for her because he knew she loved fire types. It was a good thing they instantly got along. She could not imagine what life would have been like without Maya. Her mind snapped back to the present when the girl spoke again. So, she wanted a fire type as well.
"Excellent choice." She smiled at the way she held the Cyndaquil close to her. She could tell they were going to be great friends. "Just one more minute, and I'll finish you up." She returned the Taillow and Purloin to their Pokeballs, and then she brought them back to the storage room. While in the storage area, she picked out a backpack. Finally, she returned to the girl with the backpack and empty Pokeball. "Here is its Pokeball and your start kit." She held both out to her. "You're ready to go. Good luck in school!"
