Miss Riverton burst through the door into the classroom, full of energy. It was time for class, and she was pumped for it! Her Tyrogue, Sport, sprinted in after her. The class was Pokemon Basics. It was not her favorite class, but she still enjoyed it. It was a great class to pump in some spirit and enthusiasm for the academy as well as the other classes into the students. All new students took the class, so she felt it was her responsibility to get them charged up for the rest of their careers at Cherilli. She also hoped to get some of them to take her favorite elective, Battle Techniques. Well, it was time to get ready for class! She jogged over to her desk and picked up the lesson she had prepared for as well as the attendance list. Hmm... It looked like there was only three students in this class this semester. Gaile Cenn, Eve Sosia, and Zane Lathurna. It seemed the rapid growth of the school had dwindled. Oh, well. She would have fun with this trio, she was sure of it! |

Miss Riverton frowned when the room remained empty. She checked the clock. It was time to start minutes ago! Where were her students? "Sport, why don't you go scout them out in the halls? Maybe they're just lost." It was their first day, after all. Her Tyrogue obeyed and walked out into the hall, looking around for lost students. Miss Riverton hoped Sport would find them or they would show up on their own soon. She was so excited for this class. They just had to show up!

Zane could not believe it. He was lost. He had set out early in the morning intent on exploring the campus with Tessie, his new Pichu. He thought he had gotten to the classroom building early enough so that he could find his first class, but it was time for class to start and he was already hopelessly loss. The Pichu sat on her trainer's shoulder, sad about their situation. Suddenly, she heard movement, and she tapped Zane and pointed to a Tyrogue up ahead. "Oh, hello there," he said to the new Pokemon. The Tyrogue seemed to want him to follow him, sot hat was what he did. He was both surprised and relieved when he saw his classroom come into site. "Thank you," he said to the Tyrogue. He walked inside the room and glanced at the teacher. "Sorry I'm late. I got a little lost." He took the closest seat in the front. Tessie jumped down and sat on the desk. |

Miss Riverton was relieved when she saw a student come in, following her Tyrogue. "Thank you, Sport. Were there any others that you could see?" She frowned slightly and nodded when he shook his head in answer. "Alright." She looked at the student and smiled. "That's alright. Are you Zane? The other two students haven't shown up yet, but they're probably not lost since Sport could not find them in the building." She glanced at the clock. It was well past the time to start class. "Well, I guess it's just you and me. Don't worry, this class is going to be a lot of fun. First, though, my name is Miss Riverton, and that is Sport," she said, motioning towards the Tyrogue that had helped find the student. "Why don't you introduce your Pokemon and tell us why you chose to come to Cherilli." She was disappointed that the other two students had not showed up, but at least she had one student. She was going to work extra hard to make this one on one situation work so that the new student had a fantastic first semester experience!

Zane nodded when the teacher asked about his name. "That's me." Looking around, he noticed they were the only two in the room. Where were the other students? Glancing back at the teacher, he figured everyone else must be skipping class. That was too bad, for he loved being around lots of people. Oh well. He would make the best of this class. At least Miss Riverton sounded like lots of fun. He was sure she would try to make this a great class. "Ok. This here is Tessie." The Pichu stood up proudly and smiled at the teacher while her trainer paused in thought. "I chose to come to Cherilli because my parents were not able to handle me going on a journey, so they let me come here as a compromise. I'm also excited to learn about Pokemon." He knew graduating would convince his parents to let him go off on his own. He couldn't wait! |

Miss Riverton nodded at Zane's response. "Well, welcome to Cherilli Academy and Pokemon Basics!" He seemed to be an enthusiastic student. This would work out well. She proceeded to tell him about the class as a whole and explained what sort of topics they would cover throughout the semester. It did not take too long. Once she finished, she wished him a good day and sent him on his way.
OOC: Gaile Cenn and Eve Sosia have been dropped from this course. They may not longer receive credit for it. |
