Personality: Jinx has a very dark sense of humor. He prefers to remain in the background and pull secret pranks. He does not laugh or smile much but smirks and chuckles. He enjoys causing mischief and trouble for others, but he prefers to do it in a secret way so as to not get caught. He makes enemies easily, mainly due to others not understanding him and his humor and odd behaviors. If someone rubs him the wrong way, he sets out to cause them trouble. If he is bored, he causes mischief in order to amuse himself. He does not see the need to get along with others or to be kind to them due to this disconnected he has towards other humans.
He is an excellent story teller and loves to tell or write horror, terror, and scary stories. He likes writing other kinds of stories, but those are his favorite. He has a dark imagination, which leads to his stories rarely ever having a good ending. He is pessimistic and does not believe there is meaning in life. Deep inside, though, he longs to connect with a human friend or two and discover meaning in this dark, empty world of his.
History: When Jinx was about 12 months old, his mother abandoned him at the doorsteps of an old haunted house that was near a graveyard. She had thought someone lived there, but many ghost Pokemon lived there. The ghost Pokemon took him in and raised him. Because of this, he grew up being able to understand them and what they were saying. The Banette living there took the role of his mother and would guide him outdoors in order to expose him to humans and teach him how to talk. The ghost Pokemon taught him how to pull pranks and cause mayhem. They became his family, and though he learned how to speak like a human, he developed ghost Pokemon behaviors as well as confusion to certain human behaviors. He feels more connected to ghost Pokemon than humans.
When he grew old enough, he did venture outside the haunted house to explore town. He liked to play in the graveyard with his ghost Pokemon family. He also spent a lot of time at the library. The librarian there had kindly taught him how to read, so he was able to learn a lot from all of those books. He grew to love stories from the library and really enjoyed telling his ghost Pokemon family ones he came up with on his own. As he went through his teenage years, he grew more and more restless, desiring to leave and explore. When he turned eighteen, he finally decided to go to Cherilli Academy. His family was sad to see him go, but they agreed he needed to leave and explore the world. He wished he could stay with his family, but he could not escape the need to leave. He plans to return to his family some day.
