OOC: You have a chance to take home a Unova starter Pokemon. In order to qualify, you must have eight roleplay post within the month of February. Post here having your character attending the lecture once this is achieved. IC: It was the start of a new month, and that meant it was time for another professor lecture. This time, Professor Juniper would be speaking about the Unova region. Principal Sash knew everything was going to go as smoothly as the previous four events. She was already thinking about what she would do after the last two professors presented. Right now, she waiting on the stage with the professor for everyone to show up. Once it was time to start, she stepped forward and took the microphone in her hand. "Hello, students," she said. "Thank you for coming out today. We are going to hear a great lecture from Professor Juniper from the Unova region!" She stepped back to give the professor room.
Juniper smiled as she took the microphone from Sash. "Thank you Principal Sash, and thank you, Cherilli Academy. It is an honor to be here at your wonderful academy. I'm sure you're all excited about the Pokemon I have to show you, but first I would love to tell you about my region." She thought the Unova region was very special and unique. After all, it was pretty distant from the other regions. She hoped her lecture would induce some of them to visit. She knew the trainers back home would love to meet some outsiders with Pokemon they had never seen before. |

Onatrux's nerves were hard to contain as he walks in. He was hoping to get one of the pokèmon Professor Juniper has to offer. He knew alot about the Unova region already, as it was the native home of Durant, one of his favorite Pokèmon. He quickly moved to one of the middle seats and sat down, waiting for the presentation to begin.

Zoey entered the gym with enthusiasm stirring inside her. She had heard great, fascinating things about these lectures, but she had never found the time to go to one. Today was different, though! She was finally going to sit in on one. It was about Unova. Her hometown was Kanto, which was pretty far away from Unova. Actually, she was pretty sure Unova was far away from all of the other regions. That intrigued her most of all. There were probably some really rare, cool Pokemon there that were nowhere in the other regions. She could not wait to hear all about it. She quickly found a seat and looked up at the professor, waiting for her to begin.

Gary was off to another lecture. He had found this professor lectures quite interesting and informative. Though he knew something about each of the regions already since his grandpa was a Pokemon researcher, it was still good to hear about them first hand. He had been to Unova once when he was younger, but he did not remember much about it. He did think all three starter Pokemon were pretty cool, and he hoped he would be able to win one. He entered the gym and slipped into the back row. It looked like the lecture would be starting soon. He was sure it was going to be great! |

Paul walked into the gym prepared to listen to another lecture. The ones he had been to so far had proved to be very useful, so he thought this next one would as well. The region this time was Unova, the region that was farthest away. He wondered what he could discover going there. Perhaps the Pokemon there were stronger than the others. The environment did help in some cases with strengthening a Pokemon. For instance, the Lava Cave was supposed to house strong Pokemon. As he approached the seats, Gary came into his vision, but he did not say anything to him. Instead, he sat down in a random spot.

Professor Juniper enjoyed talking to the students abotu Unova. Her region was quite separate from the others, so most people outside of it did not know much about it. Unova really was a fascinating region with unique Pokemon and fun and vibrant cities. Plus, all three starter Pokemon were really cute. It was time to get to them. "Thank you for listening to me, students. Now it is time to itnroduce you to three friends of mine." She took out three Pokeballs and released the Pokemon inside. "This is Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. I am now going to draw to see who will be first to choose which one of these fine Pokemon will go home with them today." She smiled at Principal Sash when she offered her a hat full of names. She drew a slip of paper out and looked at the name. "Onatrux Ojex!" |

Onatrux's eyes went wide whrn his name was call first, getting up and walking quickly to the stage and looking over the pokemon. "Snivy," he said "I choose Snivy."

Professor Juniper smiled at the boy and nodded when he approached. "Very well." She returned the Snivy to its Pokeball before handing it to the boy. "There you go. Take good care. Now onto the second student..." This was so exciting. She could not wait to see which Pokemon was chosen next! She put her hand into the hat and withdrew a name. She cleared her throat before reading it. "Zoey Clowes." Good. A girl this time. [img style="MAX-WIDTH:100%;" src="http://www.pokestadium.com/assets/img/sprites/main-series/5/black-white/495.png"]

Zoey's eyes grew wide in excitement and surprise when her name was called. She just won a Pokemon! Not just any Pokemon, either, but a Unova starter! She walked up the stage, her legs shaking in anticipation. The Snivy had already been chosen, but that was fine. She looked at the two left: Tepig and Oshawott. She smiled at the Tepig, finding its pig-like appearance to be adorable. "I'll take the Tepig, please," she said to the professor. Being a fire-type, it would probably get along well with her Chimchar, Waffles. This was going to be fun!

Professor Juniper could tell that the girl was excited. She could not blame her. The Unova Pokemon were quite awesome! She nodded at her choice. "Alright." She returned the Tepig to its Pokeball before handing it to the student. "There you are. Have fun." Now there was only one Pokemon left. She turned to Principal Sash and drew a final name from the hat. She cleared her throat before speaking again. "And the Oshawott will go to... Gary Oak!" Gary found the lecture quite informative. He was definitely going to make a trip to Unova sometime in the future. It sounded quite exciting with all o those big cities that had lots of activities going on. Plus, there were rural areas if he needed a break. He watched as two students were chosen to receive a Pokemon. Then only the Oshawott was left. Gary had always had a fondness for water types, so he was excited when he was chosen to take home this one. He grinned as he got up and jogged down the aisle to the stage. "Great. Thank you, Professor Juniper!" He looked over the Oshawott and nodded in approval. This was a good one. |

Zoey accepted the Pokeball and smiled at Professor Juniper. "Thank you! We will," she said. Still holding onto the Pokeball, she walked off the stage. She stayed to see the final winner and then began to head out. Her other Pokemon were having fun in her dorm room because she did not like keeping them cooped up in their Pokeballs 24/7. They were in for a big surprise when she introduced them to their new family member! She could not think of a good enough name for the Tepig at the moment, but she bet she would think of one on the walk to her dorm. She knew it was going to be great.

Professor Juniper smiled and nodded at Zoey. Then she turned to the boy approaching the stage. He seemed oddly familiar to her. Then his name clicked in her mind. That was right! He was the grandson of her good friend, Professor Oak. He had been a lot younger the last time she saw him. "It's good to see you again, Gary," she said with a smile. She returned the Oshawott to its Pokeball and then handed it to him. "Have fun." She waited a minute for him to turn to his seat before approaching the microphone once again. "That's all I have for you today, guys. Thank you so much for coming. I hope to see you soon!" That had been quite a fun experience. Gary was pleased that Professor Juniper recognized him. He had met her several times int he past because she was friends with his grandfather. "You too," he said. "Thank you." He took the Pokeball from her and stared at it for a second. He was sure this Pokemon was going to be great. He could not wait to take him out and meet him. He put the Pokeball away and returned to his seat just in time to hear Juniper close the lecture. Well, that had been quite productive. He stood up and headed for his room. There was one lecture left. He planned to attend to see if he would win yet again. For now, though, this Oshawott was enough. |
