The spring had finally arrived and as such Theo found himself at long last at the academy. Having arrived a few days ago he had gotten settled in well. He had gotten is Pokemon from miss Sash already, a wonderful Snivy. However, today as the sun shined he wasn't training hard, not his Pokemon anyways. She was out of her pokeball though, stretched out in the warm sun soaking up its rays. Theo was close by sitting in same shade on a bench. In his hands was an opened Pokemon Basics book. Today was a relaxful study day.

It was a great day for playing and goofing off! At least, that was what Zane and his Pichu, Tessie, thought. The boy pushed the doors of the school open and waltzed outside, his Pokemon on his heels. This was only his second semester at the academy, but he already loved it. Classes were not very fun, but it was great to be around so many trainers and Pokemon. He knew he would have to train hard if he wanted to make it to the top, but right now, it was time to relax and have some fun. Tessie started to run around the courtyard, and the student followed, laughing along with her.
The Pichu turned her head around to see if Zane was catching up. As she did so, she could not see where she was going, and she accidentally tripped over a Snivy laying on the ground, falling flat on her face on the other side. Zane's eyes widened when he realized what was about to happen. He twisted his body so that, as he also tripped, he fell on his back near the two Pokemon and not on them. "I'm so sorry," he said, smiling sheepishly as he looked up and noticed a boy he assumed must be the Snivy's trainer.

As Theo became engrossed in his book he had noticed the other trainer and his Pichu come into the courtyard. How could he not? With all their laughing and goofing off they where hard to miss. Yet he did his best to pay them no mind. His idea of a good time was clearly different then their idea of it. He would rather enjoy his book, while neatly jotting down notes. Them? Well he wasn't too sure. Looking up for a moment Theo looked back at the book and let out a sigh. Harper on the other hand just pretended they weren't there. What was until she was basically trampled. "Snivy Snivy SNIVY" The grass pokemon yelled at the trainer, which translated into <Hey you punks watch were you're going! I was here first!>
Looking up from his book Theo grumbled as he closed it. Closing his eyes he all but slammed the book closed in his hands. "Sorry or not sorry it doesn't matter. Neither Harper or I, enjoy your intrusion." Reaching over to his bag he went to place his book inside before standing. "Are you alright darling?" He asked the Snivy as he dropped to his knees in front of the pokemon and rubbed her head. Harper looked at her trainer then spun around before falling backwards into his arms. Such a little drama queen pretending to faint.

Oakly wandered out into the courtyard, Gaiden the Nincada on her heels. She was humming a small tune to herself, and her eyes were closed. A Princess like her didn't need to know where she was going end up. Besides, she had that map in her bag. Not that it had mattered, since her good mood was demolished by a Snivy yelling. Her eyes shot open, and her humming stopped. A commotion of some form was going on between two trainers and their Pokemon. Oakly made her way over to the two, a smile on her face.
"Good day, to both of you. I was on my morning walk when I heard a commotion. I trust everything is okay?"

Zane glanced over to the Snivy when she yelld at him. "Sorry to you too." He stood up and brushed himself up. Then he cast the trainer a confused look at his comment. What had gotten his knickers in a bunch? It was just an accident. Most people would just brush it off and move on. Or at least, that was what he would do. Maybe this guy was just having a bad day. He thought it was a good idea to explain himself. "I was just having some fun. If you didn't want to be bothered, you should have been somewhere quiet like the library." He spoke calmly and not accusingly. He did not want to start a fight.
Tessie, on the other hand, was less accomodating. She stared at the Snixy oddly after her big fit. <Dude, chill out. That should nto have even hurt. It was not a battle move.> She thought both the grass type and her trainer were highly overreacting. They probably did not know how to have any fun.
Zane turned around when he heard someone else speak to them. "Yes, we're fine," he said. "It was just an accident and misunderstanding. Thanks for asking." He smiled to reassure her of his sincerity.

Theodore wasn't happy not in the least. This kid was rude, and just who did he think he was? The ruler of the courtyard? Clearly if that was the case he was dreaming. "Can you not see we where here first? Harper and I where tucked in a corner. A quiet corner. You want to be annoying go to the other side and stomp on people's pokemon." he said sternly glaring at the boy and his pokemon. "There is no way for Harper to sun herself in the library. You want to be loud and goof off? Well then why don't you go do it else where like the park, or on the battle side of the courtyard." He then huffed as he stared at the kids. This other kid was getting on his nerves, but of course Theo didn't really care to much about other males. He was more of a ladies man.
Speaking of ladies it was just then that a young woman caught his eye. She was lovely, had an odd taste in style, but he wouldn't judge. "G'morning darling..." He was about to explain what had happen when he was cut off. Glaring again, Theo shrugged and turned his head away from the other boy. "Accident sure it was." He mumbled under his breath as he looked at Snivy who was now refusing to look at Zane or his pokemon. Such a high and mighty look upon her face, then again both Theodore and his pokemon who a bit of the snobby type. "Please miss a beautiful lady such as yourself should bother herself with his type." Theo said motioning his head towards Zane a bit. "I am Theodore Andrew Rodgers, but you m'lady may call me Tex." He said giving a charming smile and bow to the girl before eyeing Zane. "You on the other hand may not." He made it a point to tell the other boy he wasn't allowed to address him by his nickname.

Zane was confused by this guy's words. Why was he acting like that? He must be having a really bad day. Or perhaps the blue-headed boy had not explained himself properly. Almost anyone else would yell at Theodore and shut up and leave, but Zane was a bit too naive and dense for that. He did not know the meaning of the word "conflict." He had never been around anyone who did not like him before, so the only thing he knew how to do in this situation was to continue to try to be friends. Rejection was another thing he did not understand. "Honestly, I did not see you there. I will try to look first next time. And maybe you need to let the sun lighten you up. My mom told me I can be loud outdoors, and we're outdoors, right? Quiet rules belong inside."
He blinked at what the other boy said to the girl. He did not think that was very called for. Why try to make her have a bad impression of him? That was not very nice. The best way to deal with meanies was to be nice himself! "He's just having a bad day," he said, for this was the only explanation for his rudeness that he could come up with. "And I'm more fun than him. I'm Zane."
Tessie looked back and forth between the two trainers. Her trainer may have wanted to make friends with everyone, but she did not like this guy. She wished she could let him have a piece of her mind, but she knew he would not understand. The Snivy, however, she could communciate with. <A pile of bricks is more fun than you two,> she snorted. <You're not going to make any friends this way.>
