The Tide Rises She parked her acro bike and chained and locked it up around a wooden fence. Her Venipede crawling from her shoulder up to the top of her head, antennas twitching. She was in a frilly lilac bikini with a tie-able white beach skirt wrapped at her waist. Feet squishing into the squeaky white sand, she was looking for a battle. "Are you excited?" Nanami looked up to her venipede that curled on the top of her head, it replied with a quiet grumble. "I know you don't exactly like the water, but its good to fight against your fears sometimes, right?" Nanami asked, patting her hand gently on the bug and poison type and picking it up, resting it on her right shoulder. After minutes of waiting and messing around at the shoreline, a shadowed figure splashed out from the crashing waves and landed on the shore.

A young Buizel happened to be swimming in the large lake, enjoying herself. She enjoyed leaving on the beach with the nice sand and pleasant water. Right now, she was practicing her speed underwater. She was not a great battler yet, and she wanted to get better. Her ears soon picked up noise from above, so she decided to check it out. She popped her head out of the water to see a girl with a Venipede. Curious, she climbed out of the water and stood on the shore, dripping water off of her sleek fur. <Hi. "Hey look, its a..--" Nanami paused, looking down at her pokedex as it scanned the otter-looking water type pokemon, "--A buizel!" She shut her pokedex once scanned and looked up with a bright smile. Her venipede didn't seem to happy about the dripping wet stranger that just arrived. Jumping off of her shoulder, the bug and poison type landed softly on the sand. Antennas twitching, he grumbled; disgusted. <I swear, if you come one step closer you soggy rat.. I'll rip ya' to shreds.> He curled up into a ball, like as if he were threatening the wild pokemon. <Wanna a piece of me? Huh? Huh?> He hopped on the spot, all hyped up. "Venipede.. theres no need to get all frisky all of a sudden." Nanami told her companion, rubbing the back of her head with an eyebrow raised.

The Buizel was surprised at the ferocity of the other Pokemon. What has she done to him? She supposed he did not like water types. <If you did not want to see another Pokemon, you should not have come to the beach,> she retorted. Really, what had he been expecting? At least his trainer seemed a bit nicer. She did not doubt that this Venipede would attack her, though she was pretty sure she could take him. <You're the one who should stay back.> She gave him a warning growl.
