Easygoing- Despite everything, Shun is very laid-back. Takes his time with almost everything; walking, training, eating, and battling. Just going with the overall flow of things only changing this when something valuable to his goals comes Iinto the mix.

Calm- Everywhere he goes he has this unwavering calmness about him, and it shows when battling, training, or in some stressful situation his mindset and expression won't change. Thus he can easily think of a quick way out of the predicament, and counter in some form.

Straightforwardness- One of his most prevalent traits, Shun is always looking ahead into the true point of whats going on. This trait has offended others because he will see through them into all their flaws/quirks causing them to consider him overly critical - even hurtfully so when he brings them up. So don't ask him if you don't want to know the unvarnished truth. There's no sugar-coating whatsoever with him, even if the truth is not pretty. However, by the same token, when Shun gives someone a compliment, it's not as a condescending gesture, but rather a straight-out, honest assessment that you can indeed be proud of. 

Confident- Something he possesses that is close to arrogance at certain moments, Shun holds no doubts anywhere in his mind that stop or slow him down from doing anything. Although, he wouldn't do anything unless it helped him achieve something on his own agenda. This confidence of his doesn't show in any expression but is revealed in his inability to turn down a challenge because he fully believes in his and his pokemon's abilities to overcome obstacles.

History:
Shun grew up normally in Mahogany town of the Johto region. He was raised by only his mother as his dad had disappeared some time ago when he was younger, leaving him, his little sister Maya, and their mother. Shun never really thought much of his father's disappearance, not even questioning his mother on any reason as to why he left. His focus was instead placed in that of pokemon; catching them, raising them, and battling with them.

Shun enjoyed battling greatly, as he became somewhat known around the area as a tough trainer. Soon, his passion grew as he wanted to battle foreign trainers, no longer those who lived down the street from his home. He beat any trainer in town, but knew that he couldn't become better without new and harder challenges.

One day, Shun had lost badly to a wandering trainer, the loss didn't effect him much as it was expected due to his level of experience. The trainer, being helpful, had given him a brochure to Cherilli Academy and explained that it would help him to get better. Instantly, his mind was made up, he was going to attend this school.

As he explained things to his mother he felt kind of depressed and guilty for leaving his family for his own selfish reasons. However, his mother understood and wished him luck. After saying his goodbyes to his mother and little sister, he was off.
