It was early Saturday afternoon, and Nate decided to go out and do something fun with his partner, Watcher. The Eevee was by his side as they entered the gym. They had not spent much time in here, so they figured it was time for them to have some fun and exercise at the same time. Nate was relieved to see that they were alone. He would nto mind play with someone else, but he did not want to walk in on a game already in session. "Let's see what they have here," he said to his Pokemon. He found the door where the balls were stored and opened it.
Watched looked over all of the balls with his eyes. He was not quite sure what each of them were for, so he decided to just find one that looked interesting. He nudged a white and black ball with his nose. His trainer smiled down at him. "You want to play soccer? Ok." He picked up the ball and and headed to one side of the gym. He set the ball down on the ground and turned to Wathcer. "We can just kick this ball around. Push it with your nose while you run." He gently kicked the ball over to the Eevee. Watcher pushed the ball with his nose and started to run. Nate, surprised at his speed, jogged after him to try to get the ball back.

Sawyer rarely took a day off. If she was not studying for class, she was training with her Pokemon. She had to make sure she was the best so she could fulfill her dream of becoming a Pokemon master! School would help her with that goal, so she needed to make sure she stayed on top of her classes. However, everyone needed a break now and then, so she decided to take all of Saturday to relax with Kopa, her partner. Relaxing did not mean they could not still bond and grow in their skills, though. The trainer decided to see what fun could be at the the academy's gym.
Sawyer entered the gym with her Litleo on her tail. They both stopped when they saw that the room was already occupied. The girl recognized Nate and his Eevee. Normally she would not bother with other people, but she liked him. "Hey, Nate!" she called to him to get his attention. "Do you mind if we join you?" Soccer was a game that was more fun with more people. Kopa sat down and watched the two play with interest.

Nate ran back and forth with Watcher for awhile. He was so wrapped up in the game that he did not notice anyone else had entered the gym until she spoke. He stopped and turned around in surprise. "Oh. Hi, Sawyer. Sure, you guys can play with us. Pokemon against trainers?" He gave her a small smile. He liked her, and this was a good time to do something fun together.
Watcher pushed the ball forward until he was standing beside Nate. <Hi, Kopa. How are you doing?>

Sawyer nodded at Nate's suggestion. She thought it would be fun for them to all play together. It would be interesting to play against the Pokemon. She was not sure which team would have the advantage. "Sure. That sounds good." She headed for the middle of the gym so that they could start the game.
<Hi, Watcher,> Kopa said. <I'm good. Are you ready to play?> He had never played ball before, and he hoped it would help him with his skills. He followed his trainer to the middle of the gym.

Nate looked around the gym and noticed that both ends had two cones that made up the goal. Since there were only four of them playing, he thought he might make it easier on them. "Let's just use half the field so we do not have to run so much." That would make it more competitive as well. he picked up the cones that were closet to him and brought them to the middle of the gym. "Come on, Watcher." Then he headed for the middle of the new playing field.
<yes, I'm ready,> Watcher said, grinning at Kopa. He pushed the ball with his nose until it was next to his trainer. Then he turned around to watch the other two.

Sawyer nodded at Nate's suggestion. That sounded like a good idea. She did not want them to get too tired too quickly.Once the cones were set up, she also moved to the new middle. Then she turned around to face the other side of the gym. "Let's start on this side. Any other rules we should have?" It best best to get these things out of the way in the beginning. She could not wait to play!
Kopa nodded at Watcher. <Good.> He trotted to the new middle and then stood facing his trainer. This was going to be great!

Nate walked over to the other side and turned so that he was standing next to Sawyer. He thought for a second about rules they should have. "Let's see... Don't go out of bounds, no hands - or paws, and no intentional injuries." That sounded pretty good to him. This was not a serious game, so they did not have to worry about much happening. "Shall we begin?"
Watcher stood next to Kopa. <Those rules sound good. Let's play!>

Sawyer nodded. "Sounds good. Let's begin!" Her eyes fell to the ball. Before she could kick it, however, her Litleo sprang forward and moved it with his nose. "Hey!" It looked like the Pokemon had the ball first. She sprang after him to try to capture it.
Kopa smirked as he raced forward. <You have to do better than that!> He turned to see if Watcher was open so he could pass the ball to him.

Nate was surprised at the Litleo's speed. A second later, he took off after him, keeping pace with Sawyer. Watcher jumped off to the side to get open. He stopped the ball with his nose when Kopa passed it to him. Then he raced for the goal. Nate attempted to catch up to him, but the Pokemon were too quick for him. "Man, I have to work out more!" He couldn't believe he was already feeling tired.

Sawyer smirked at Nate's comment. "I work out three times a week," she said. "It helps in battle if you physically train with your Pokemon." It seemed to be working for her and Kopa at least. This time, they were opponents instead of allies. She wondered how this would affect their game. She saw the Litleo look at the Eevee and darted off to the side. Just when Watcher had the ball, she stuck out her foot to kick it away from him. Kopa quickly ran to her side in an attempt to intervene.

Watcher stopped the ball with his paws and began to push it with his nose. He gasped when Sawyer kicked it away from him. "Wow," Nate said to Sawyer's comment. She must be pretty fit. He was impressed. He saw Kopa trying to get the ball back, so he ran in front of him to block him. "Ok, pass it to me!" He hoped this worked and he did not mess up.

Kopa let out a low growl when Nate got in front of him. He tried to move around him, but the trainer blocked him every time. Frustrated, he tried to think of another plan. Sawyer was grateful for the help. She knew it was a risk to pass the ball to Nate, but she decided to take it. She kicked it forward a little before turning and kicking it right at him, hoping he would get it in time.

Nate ran forward and caught the ball with his feet just before Kopa could get it. He then raced towards the goal, Watcher on his heels. When he got close enough, he kicked the ball towards the goal. The Eevee ran to stop it, but he was too late. The ball rolled through the cones onto the other side of the gym. "I did it!" Nate said happily.

Sawyer slowed to a walk when she saw Nate make a goal. "Good job," she said, offering him a smile. They were now in the lead! She glanced at the Pokemon. "You may have the ball now." Kopa ran forward and retrieved the ball with his nose. he began to run towards the other goal. His trainer waited several seconds before following him.

nate smiled back at Sawyer. "Thanks." He watched as Kopa took the ball. Watcher ran to the side parallel to him. He stopped and swished his tail. The trainer ran behind him in an attempt to steal the ball away once it was passed.
