Kaitlin stood in front of the large building before her, all of her anxiety and worry seemingly coming back in one fell swoop. As much as she was excited to be here, she was also on the edge, not sure how this was going to go. This was everything she wanted, but it was still scary.
Scary to be away from her father, scary to be in a new place, scary not knowing anyone.
Her true test here would be to work through these things and become a better person for it.
If her self confidence was higher, this idea would be no big deal.
Deciding that she had stewed outside for long enough, the red head hitched her backpack up onto her upper shoulder and started up the stairs towards the doors of the building. Once inside, she looked around, her red curls bouncing. Large signs on the walls pointed out the different directions in terms of offices and when she looked down at her acceptance letter, she noticed that it said to see a Principal Sash.
Looking up for that name, she spotted it and quickly moved in that direction, before she found herself in front of a secretary.
"Excuse me, I am a new student here, I need to see Principal Sash," she said, her voice low and unsure.
Looking up, the woman nodded and disappeared around a corner, probably to go and talk to the woman in question.

Principal Sash was having a rather relaxing morning. She had some work to do, but not too much so that it was stressful. She was at her desk rubbing her Vulpix' back when she was told she had a new student to see her. She told the secretary to let her in, and she waited for the student to appear. When she did, she stood up and gave her a warm smile. "Welcome to Cherilli Academy! I'm Principal Sash, and I'll get you all set up today. First, fill out these easy personality test so I can figure out which Pokemon to offer you." She swiped a piece of paper off of her desk and held it out to the girl along with a pen. |

Kaitlin blinked in surprise as Principal Sash told her that she would be taking a test today, totally caught off guard. She was going to take a test before even taking classes? How could that work?
It dawned on her quickly that it could be a placement test of some sort, but then she caught on that Sash had said personality. A personality test to help determine partners. Interesting way of going about it. Gently taking the paper and gripping the pen, Kaitlin laid the paper flat on the desk and started to fill it in, taking her time and thinking about each question carefully.

She knew deep down that she couldn't be wrong on a test such as this, but it still made her think if her answers were going to be judged in one way or another. Granted, it is human to judge the responses and information from others, but this was the principal. Did she have a certain, pre-formed attitude towards each kid who walks in?
Obviously Kaitlin didn't know, but she had to hope it wasn't so.
"Here you go, Principal Sash," she said quietly, passing the pen and paper back to the woman.
Unspoken was the idea, "Hope its good enough....."

(Apologies for the wait) Vice Principal Turner came storming into the office forcing the door open, "Sash your wanted urgently in the hall, there's been an accident. I will take over here for you" Turner than began to quickly usher Principal Sash out the door and make his way over to the new student where he took the questionnaire from the girl. He began to quickly browse over the sheet over power inspecting each question and thinking over which pokemon would be best suited for her. In a world with over seven hundred different pokemon there were so many options to pick from. The list of course was narrowed down as there plenty of base level pokemon cutting the list probably in half. He tapped his foot thinking it over before he made his way over to a door that connected to another room. He opened the door forcing it open revealing another room filled with stands with numerous pokeballs upon them. Entering the room he walked along the isles of pokeballs grabbing three. He made his way back to the office opening the pokeballs up. In three beams of red light appeared the ghost type Shuppet, the electric type Shinx and the fire type Vulpix. " Take your pick" spoke the Vice Principal as he folded his arms over his chest waiting for the girl to make her choice. |

Kaitlin raised in her eyebrows in surprise as the man burst into the office, interrupting the conversation between Kaitlin and the principal. Fidgeting with her hands, the red head watched as the principal of the academy rushed out of the room and the man before her took over. Palms clammy and feeling really nervous, the new trainer watched as this new person read her survey and mentally analyzed the answers. Without another word, he opened up a doorway that revealed rows upon rows of poke balls. It was staggering how many were being stored in that room at the current moment. Though, on another level, it made total sense because there were probably a lot of students here already or looking to attend the school. When he returned, he had three poke balls in his position and he let them out, three beams of light revealing Pokemon on the principal's desk. She took in each one, but the decision was really easy. "I'll choose the Vulpix, please," she said, letting a small smile play across her lips. Vulpix were prime Pokemon, and she had a great feeling about choosing one as her initial partner. Vice Principal Turner wished the girl would hurry up and choose. He did not have all day. He cursed the situation that had caused him to switched places with Principal Sash. All he could do was make the best of it. He grunted in response when the girl chose the Vulpix. "Good."
He shoved an empty Pokeball at Kaitlin before returning the remaining Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Then he trudges to the storage area where the Pokemon were kept. He grabbed a starter pack on his way back. "This is all you need." He held the bag out to her. At least this experience was coming to an end.
