OOC: This thread is for Faith and Kiki's battle. Faith will go post first. She also has the first move.
IC: Principal Sash could not believe that Faith and Kiki were facing off in the finals again. Those two really were something! She wondered who would win this time. Either way, it was good to see a great rivalry form. "Welcome back!" she boomed into the microphone. "It is time for the final round of our contest. Please give it up for Faith and Kiki!" She walked back to her seat as the crowd applauded. It was time to begin! |

Faith strode back out onto the stage. She hoped this battle would go better than the last. She was up against Kiki once again. She wondered if she would be able to beat her this time. Either way, it was always fun to go up against her friend. "Willy, come on out!" She knew better than to use Nutella again. Her Bibarel was eager to try out his new powers; he looked around the stage with a grin. Kiki walked onto the stage after Faith. It was too bad her previous battle had been cut short, but at least she would have an opponent now. She grinned at Faith as she took her spot opposite of her. "It's us again, huh? Good luck." This was going to be fun. She could see that Faith's Bidoof had evolved. Willy was probably a lot stronger now. Well, she had strong Pokemon too. "Cody, you're up!" The energetic puppy was great for contests. The Lillipup wagged his tail as he waited for the battle to begin. Faith smiled at Kiki and gave her a nod. "I guess so. Good luck to you too." This was going to be great! She could not wait to test out her partner's new powers and beauty. "Ok, Willy, start off with Water Gun!" She knew he would be pleased to use a water attack.
Willy grinned as he saw the puppy appear. <Hello there.> That one sure was energetic. He knew he could beat him, though. He took a deep breath and then shot out a stream of water at the Lillipup. Ah, it felt good to release his water! Kiki immediately got into battle mode. She reminded herself that this was a contest and the beauty of moves mattered as much as power. "Cody, dodge that!" She winced when he was unable to do so. No problem. This had just started. "Use Take Down!" Hopefully that would use up some of his wild energy.
Cody ran around in circles, chasing his tail. He turned when he heard the sound of water rushing towards him, but he was not quick enough to dodge the attack. He got back on his feet and shook off the water. Then he ran straight forward to attack back. Faith smiled when her attack worked. She soon came up with an idea to get out of the way of the Lillipup. "Willy, use Rollout!" That should do it. This attack had proved successful in the past.
Willy curled into a ball like he had so many times in the past. However, he had never done so as a Bibarel. He found it was harder, but he could feel more power. He rolled out of the way of the Lillipup. Then he turned so he could roll right into him. Kiki tried to think of a plan as she watched Willy dodge with Rollout. She knew the Pokemon could keep that attack up for a long time, and it would only get stronger the more times it hit. She had to stop this before it go too far. "Cody, the next time he hits you, use Bite!" It was risky, and she only hoped it worked.
Cody skidded to a halt and looked around. Where had that Bibarel gone? Then the water type smashed into him he yelled as he fell on his stomach. Growling, he got back up. That hurt! He did not like his trainer's plan at all, bur he knew he had to obey. He braced himself for the next attack, planning to clamp down on his opponent when he got too close. Faith could see what Nate's plan was, and she did not know if it would work. She decided not to tell her own Pokemon to change course. She watched as both the Bibarel and Lillipup were injured. "Now use Muddy Water!" They were in the perfect position.
Willy continued rolling forward. He did not stop until he rammed into his opponent. He immediately found himself in the jaws of the Lillipup. He grit his teeth, but he did not struggle. Instead, he swept up muddy water with his paws. Level: 18 Attacks: Tackle, Growl, Defense Curl, Rollout, Headbutt, Rototiller, Water Gun Abilities: Simple, Unaware, Moody Egg Move: Aqua Tail Hit By: Bite Used: Muddy Water Health: Green/Low Green Points: 85 |

Faith was glad that her plan had worked. However, she could tell that Muddy Water move had done a lot of damage. Her puppy was wearing down, and her points were suffering. She had to think of something quickly. She could not let her mother down! "Take Down!" Hopefully it would work this time.
Cody felt his jaws clamp onto the Bibarel's skin. He grinned happily, but he had declared victory too soon. He let out a yelp and dropped his prey as he was suddenly drenched in muddy water. He shook himself to dry his fur, but he could feel mud sticking in clumps. Angry, he raced forward as fast as he could. He would not miss now! Faith was pleased that her plan had worked. Willy still had lost his Rollout, but he had some new moves she wanted to try. And now it looked like the puppy had been hiding some power. Glancing at the water still on the ground, the girl got an idea. "Slide on the ground and use Headbutt!"
Willy followed the Lillipup with his eyes. He tried to move out of the way, but the water on the ground caused him to slip. He cried out as the puppy rammed into him. This was not good! He took a deep breath and stepped onto the water on all fours. He then moved forward, sliding with the water as he lowered his head to attack his opponent. Kiki's heartbeat quickened as the battle continued.. This was getting intense. She had no idea who was going to come out on top. She tried hard to think of cool moves and not rely simply on power. She knew she was running out of time. "Take Down again followed by Baby-Doll Eyes!" She hoped that would look good enough.
Cody hopped in a circle after finishing his attack. That had been a blast! He turned in time to see his opponent sliding on the water. What was that about? He did not have long to wonder. He wimpered when the Bibarel's hard head hit his side. He shook his fur and then ran forward to attack. When he finished, he planned to sit and make himself as cute as possible. Faith felt her blood pumping in excitement. This was what contest battles were all about! Her mind worked frantically to come up with her next move. "Use Muddy Water while you jump above him!" She did not know if it would work, but the picture in her head appeared cool.
Willy stood and shook the remaining water from his fur. That had not been so bad. He tensed when he saw the Lillipup headed towards him again. He took a running start towards his opponent. When he got close, he swept up water a split second before he leapt in the air. He flew over the Lillipup and landed on his hind feet. Kiki gasped at the Bibarel's moves. She had to admit that was pretty good. She glanced at the scoreboard, wincing at how behind she had gotten. Cody would not be willing to take much more either. She had to go with their strongest move. Take Down!
Cody watched Willy fly over him with awe. He wished he could jump like that! Maybe he good if he tried. he shook his fur to get rid of the sticky water, but he could feel his fur clumping. he growled and raced forward. That Pokemon was going down! Faith could feel the end of the battle closing in on her. She just had to hold on a little bit longer. "You're alright, Willy," she said. "Water Gun!" If this attack hit, she thought it might be the end. She glanced at the scoreboard.
Willy did not have the strength to dodge a second attack. The force of the Take Down sent him rolling across the battlefield. He struggled to his feet and shook his fur. He was glad he could stand his ground as he sot out his water at the puppy. Cody did not have the strength to dodge the last attack. The Water Gun sent him onto his side, and he did not get up again.
Kiki looked at the scoreboard and saw she had lost all her points. "Sorry, buddy," she said as she returned her Lillipup to his Pokeball. She smiled at Faith. "Congratulations." Then she turned and left, vowing to herself to do better next time.
