Kiki's heart hammered in her chest. This battle was going to be close. She had no idea what was going to happen, but it was too late to change strategies now. "Keep going, Chomper! You can do it!" She had faith in her Pokemon.
Chomper tried to run, but he stumbled and nearly fell over. The Ekans latched onto him, causing him to grit his teeth. Thankfully, he was able to quickly break free and jump back. He took a deep breath before building up another rage. Then he let loose and attacked with everything he had left.  Level: 16 Attacks: Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Rage, Bite, Scary Face Abilities: Torrent, Sheer Force Hit By: Bite Used: Rage Health: Red/Low Red, poisoned!\ |

Gary held his breath as he watched his Pokemon take the brunt of the Rage attack. This battle was so close. His Ekans was not out yet, though, so it was time for one last attack. "Shia, use Wrap!" If the Totodile could not move, then he could not use Rage.
Shia was struck once again. She hissed at the water type, her nostrils flaring. <It's time to end you!> She moved until she was closer to the Pokemon. Then she shot out her tail and attempted to grab a hold of him.  Level: 15 Attacks: Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting, Bite, Glare Abilities: Intimidate, Shed Skin, Unnerve Hit By: Rage Used: Wrap Health: Low Red |

Chomper panted heavily. He had no strength left to dodge the attack. He winced when he felt the Ekans' tail wrap around him. Then he blacked out.
Kiki frowned as she watched outcome of the battle. "Great work, Chomper. Too bad we couldn't win it." She took out his Pokeball and returned him. Then she smiled at Gary. "Good luck in the finals." She knew she would be there to watch. With that, she turned and departed the field. Level: 16 Attacks: Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, Rage, Bite, Scary Face Abilities: Torrent, Sheer Force Hit By: Wrap Used: Health: --- |

Principal Sash thoroughly enjoyed the battle. She had no idea who would win. In the end, she was satisfied. "Chomper is unable to battle," she said. "Shia is the winner, so victory goes to Gary from Kanto! I'll see you all in he finals!" She could hardly wait for that battle to begin. Ekans has gained four levels. He now knows Screech.
Totodile has gained one level. |

Gary grinned when he saw the Totodile faint. "Great work, Shia." He knew he had made the right choice by picking her up. The Ekans hissed in pleasure before she was returned to her Pokeball. The trainer nodded at Kiki. "Thanks." Now he had to train for the finals. Ultimate victory was close! |
