Servine was shocked by the intensity of the attack from her opponent. The force of the blow finally did her in, and she collapsed on the ground.
Hugh's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, that was pretty good! There's no way I'm going easy on you now. Come on out, Tranquil, and use Air Cutter!" He knew his opponent was almost out of energy, so it would not be hard to take back the lead.
Tranquil flew into the air as soon as he was free. He circled around the Croconaw for a moment. Then he swooped down and sliced the air with his wings. Kiki grinned at her Croconaw. "You did it!" she cheered. She hoped her water type was proud for overcoming his weakness. Now they had a new Pokemon to deal with. "Alright, let's use Water Gun!"
Chomper puffed out his chest in pride. He could hardly believe he had won that round. There was not much time to celebrate, whoever. He did not see the flying type coming, and he was nearly blown away by the Air Cutter move. He narrowed in on his new opponent and then prepared to use Water Gun. Hugh was impressed that the water type was still trying to battle. This was becoming more fun than he initially thought it would be. "Time to finish it off, I'm afraid. Use Gust!"
Tranquil did not expect the stream of water to hit him right in the face. He cried in anger and then flew up high. That was the last that Croconaw would have on him! He dared to fly above his opponent and flap his wings quickly to stir up wind. Chomper stumbled in the wind. He finally gave in and fell to the ground. he was defeated.
Kiki was disappoitned but still quite proud of her Croconaw. After all, he had evolved during this battle. "Take a nice, long rest." She paused as she considered her next Pokemon. Their opponent was tough, and she knew who would be up for the challenge. "Penelope, come on out and use Ice Shard!"
The Seel appeared tough as she took her place on the field. She noted the flying type. She could do this. She took a deep breath and then shot out her ice shards. Hugh nodded to himself. One Pokemon down. He was surprised the water type had lasted so long, to be honest. Now it was time for the next round. "Tranquil, Quick Attack!"
Tranquil puffed up his feathers in pride. He had done it! This was no time to slow down, however. That Seel looked downright intimidating, and her ice attack left him shivering. Gathering up his strength, he swooped down for a Quick Attack. Level: 25 Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer, Quick Attack, Air Cutter, Roost, Detect Hit By: Ice Shard Used: Quick Attack Health: Low Green Croconaw has gained one level. He may now learn Flail! |

Kiki was amazed at the flying type's quickness. This could pose a problem for her Seel who was slow on land, but she also knew the water type was pretty fierce. "Intercept that with Headbutt!"
Penelope glared at the Tranquil. She was not afraid of him one bit! She lowered her head and waited for the perfect moment. Just before her opponent struck, she leapt into the air in an attempt to use Headbutt. She was injured herself, but hopefully it would be worth it. Level: 21 Attacks: Headbutt, Growl, Water Sport, Icy Wind, Encore, Ice Shard Abilities: Thick Fat, Hydration, Ice Body Hit By: Quick Attack Used: Headbutt Health: Green/Low Green |

Hugh had no chance to tell his Pokemon to dodge. That Seel had guts, that was for sure. He would just have to overpower her. "Now use Air Cutter!"
Tranquil was surprised when the Seel's head struck him. He cried out in alarm and somehow managed to stop himself from crashing. Then he flew into the air to maintain his balance. Then he swooped above the Seel and used Air Cutter. Level: 25 Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer, Quick Attack, Air Cutter, Roost, Detect Hit By: Headbutt Used: Air Cutter Health: Yellow |

Kiki followed the bird in the sky with her eyes. The Tranquil was a quick one. They had to shoot him down to be effective. "Penelope, use Ice Shard followed by Growl!"
Penelope smirked at the Tranquil's reaction. <You didn't see that coming, did you?> She prepared for his next attack. This one stung, but it was nothing she couldn't handle. She zoned in on her opponent and released her sharp ice. Then she growled menacingly. Hugh watched as the ice shards struck his Pokemon. Luckily, he remained in the sky. "Now Gust!" This was starting to get interesting.
Tranquil soared through the sky, attempting to dodge the pieces of ice. Most of them hit him anyway, making him frustrated. He swooped down near his opponent and kicked up wind with his wings. Kiki watched the flying type quickly retaliate. It was too bad that her own Pokemon was so slow. She would have to rely on power. "Use Icy Wind!"
Penelope braced herself against the wind. Once it was through, she smirked at her opponent. <Time for my own wind!> She took a deep breath and then used Icy Wind. Hugh had to admire the little Seel. She really put up a good fight. Now he had to fight all the harder. "Follow that up with an Air Cutter!"

Kiki protected her face from the wind with her arms. This bird was tough. She decided to keep up the ice attacks to bring him down. "Use Ice Shard!"
Penelope growled at her opponent because the wind made it difficult to speak. She waited for the perfect opportunity to strike back. Once all of was still, she aimed and fired her ice. Hugh knew his Pokemon was growing weak, but they had to keep going. Gym leaders never gave up! "Follow that with a Quick Attack!" They needed to use the Seel's slow speed against her.
The Tranquil was nearly knocked from the sky by the ice. He shivered as he flew higher. He better finish this quickly. He descended again, zooming back and forth. Level: 25 Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer, Quick Attack, Air Cutter, Roost, Detect Hit By: Icy Shard Used: Quick Attack Health: Low Red |

Kiki saw her chance. "Penelope, use Headbutt now!" She thought this could be it. They were so close.

Tranquil attempted to fly out of the way, but he was not quick enough. He finally crashed to the ground and did not get back up.
"You're pretty good," Hugh said. "Now meet my final Pokemon. Go, Gothita!" He tossed a pokeball in the air and released the Pokemon. "Use Pound!"
Gothita gazed at her opponent. Then she yawned and stretched. Time to battle. She took a fighting stance and then dashed forward. She raised her arm to strike the Seel. Level: 22 Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer, Quick Attack, Air Cutter, Roost, Detect Hit By: Headbutt Used: Health: ---  Level: 27 Attacks: Pound, Confusion, Play Nice, Fake Tears, Double Slap, Psybeam, Embargo, Feint Attack Abilities: Frisk, Competitive, Shadow Tag Hit By: Used: Pound Health: High Green Seel has gained two levels. She may now learn Aqua Ring.
