Miss Riverton opened the door and entered the classroom. She was ready to start a new class. She had heard this would be a small one, but she did not mind. Psychology was such a fascinating topic that she would delve into it no matter how few students showed up. She sat down and took out her enrollment sheet to see just who would be there today: Nate Kerston and Kiki Jones . She knew these students well and was looking forward to teaching them again.

Kiki and Alice walked into the classroom together. The girl always brought her Bayleef to Pokemon psychology. She wondered if Paul would be in this class with her like always. She told herself it was not because she cared about seeing him but because Alice wanted to see Thorn, his Pokemon. She was the first in the room, so she took a seat up front where she could watch the door and see who entered.

Nate walked down the hall with Watcher. He was proud that he was finally able to have his Eevee evolve into an Umbreon - the evolution of his choice. Now so many more possibilities had opened up for them. There were many great adventures waiting for them. He enjoyed Pokemon Psychology, and he hoped he would learn something useful today. he entered the room, smiling upon seeing Kiki. No Paul today? Oh well. He took a seat two chairs away from his friend.

Miss Riverton got an email that there were two students who had just been added to her class. She decided to give them some time to arrive before marking them as absent for the day. "Alright, let's begin," she said to the two students currently present. She knew who they were, so she did not have to take attendance. "Let's give introductions. Introduce yourself and your Pokemon and then name one thing you learned from the previous level of this class."

Nate thought for a minute about something he had learned in the previous class. There was so much to choose from! Since there were only two students in the class so far, he decided to just go for it. "Hi. I'm Nate and this is Watcher. Last time I learned that individual Pokemon respond to different types of training." This made training difficult but also rewarding.

Kiki shook off her disappointment that Paul was not there. She did not care about him. She simply wanted him to take this class so he could learn how to treat his Pokemon better. She had already learned so much herself! She tried to think of one thing she could share with the class. "I'm Kiki, and this is my partner, Alice. I have learned that you need to build trust and friendship with your Pokemon to bring out their greatest strengths."

Paul walked into the classroom with Thorn by his side. In order to get through the door, though, Thorn had to walk in behind his trainer, given his size as a Grotle. Paul planned to train Thorn hard until he evolved into a Torterra. He wondered if he would be able to still bring him to class since he would be about four feet taller and more than double the size. When he entered the room, he heard Kiki introducing herself. She was also sharing something she had learned. Probably from their psychology classes. He decided to go after her. "I'm Paul, and that's Thorn. I learned that you can condition your Pokemon, either through operant conditioning or classical conditioning, to get your Pokemon to do what you want." It was an interesting technique, one he wanted to try implementing.
As soon as Thorn saw Alice, he wobbled as fast as he could over to her. <Hi, Alice!> he exclaimed. He was so excited to be in psychology class with her again! Maybe they could learn some more helpful tips on how to get their trainers to let them be together.

Zoey raced down the hallway, Waffles clinging to her right leg. The Chimchar enjoyed taking rides on her leg. Piggyback rides were fun too, but his all time favorite was leg rides. He was a silly monkey. Zoey arrived to class right behind Paul. There were only two others inside, so there was nowhere the hide. She sat down a few seats away from Paul, near where Nate sat in the front. Once Paul introduced himself, she took her turn. "I'm Zoey, and this is Waffles. I learned that sometimes you have to take care of the psychological well being of your Pokemon, which could have been harmed from a previous owner." She thought of Meowthers in particular, wondering what his past owners were like to him.

Miss Riverton made a note when Paul and Zoey walked in. They had been added to the class late, so they would not be considered absent. "Very good," she said. "I'm glad you've all learned a lot." She paused. "Now we're going to have a little activity to find out about the relationship between you and the Pokemon you have brought with you today. Please pair up with someone else in the room. Share with your partner what you have learned from your Pokemon. Then your partner should give feedback on your relationship. Use what you have learned from this class." She hoped this would be good for both partners.

Alice perked up when she heard the sound of a Grotle entering the room. She smiled as Torn approached her. <Hi! How are you doing?> She glanced at the teacher when she explained the exercise. Hmm... She then walked over to Paul. <You're our partner!>
Kiki noticed Paul and Zoey enter the room. She tried to hide a smile as Thorn lumbered over to her Bayleef. She was glad that Paul was there so that the two grass types could see each other. Now if only Paul would let them interact outside of class. When she heard the assignment, she knew what she had to do. She was not particular eager to work with Paul, but this was for her partner. She stood up and walked over to Paul. "Did you want to work together?" she asked. They both had to find someone, after all.

After listening to the teacher explain the assignment, he looked around the classroom. Kiki had already gone over to Paul, so that left Zoey. He could not remember if he had ever talked to the girl. This would be a good chance to introduce himself. He got up and walked over to her desk. "Hello," he said, giving her a friendly smile. "Do you want to be partners?"
Watcher followed his trainer. Then he stopped and sat down. <Hi,> he said to Waffles.
