Calem watched the Fennekin get close to his Froakie. This was his chance to attack. "Quick, use Pound!"
Froakie cringed as claws raked his back. He took in a sharp breath and then sprang into action. He got close to the Fennekin and raised his fist.   Level: 8 Attacks: Pound, Growl, Bubble, Quick Attack Abilities: Torrent, Protean Hit By: Scratch, Tail Whip Used: Pound Health: Low Yellow |

Faith knew she had to do something quick or she would lose this battle. She noticed Amber glowing with fire and realized her ability, Blaze, had been activated. This was her chance. "Use Ember!"
Amber whimpered after she was hit by the Froakie. She could barely hold on any longer. At her trainer's words, she could feel her fire power growing. Maybe this could work. Calem was surprised by the fierceness of the Ember attack. That actually did some damage! This battle would be closer than he thought. "Froakie, use Quick Attack!"
Froakie cringed as the fire struck his body. Fire was not supposed to hurt. Glaring at the Fennekin, he leapt forward in a zigzag pattern, hopping to catch her off guard. Faith was amazed that Amber's fire moves had become so powerful. She thought she might as well try to keep it up. "Use Ember one more time!"
Amber yelped as the Froakie struck her once more. At least it was not a water move. She could feel her fire energy burning within her. She tried hard to harness it as she faced her opponent and opened her mouth. Calem worried that he would lose despite having the type advantage. That Fennekin was tougher than he thought. He had to give this his all. "Now use Bubble!"

"Quick, dodge that and use Scratch!" Faith held her breath as she waited to see what would happen. It all came down to this.
Amber was panting, but she could not give up. She wanted to avoid that water at all costs. She managed to dodge to the side even as she ran forward.
