Gary confidently strode through the city. He knew what he wanted. He had already challenged one gym leader, and now he was aiming to challenge another. He could not have too much experience before he graduated Cherilli Academy. He wanted to be ahead of everyone else once he started his journey. He found the Shalour City Gym and entered. "I'm Gary Oak of Cherilli Academy, and I'm here to challenge you, Korrina!" he shouted. |

Korrina entered the gym on roller skates. She grinned when she saw Gary. "i! I would love to battle you. Let's get started." She took her place opposite of the trainer. This was going to be fun! "It will be a three on three battle. This is my first Pokemon. Meinfoo, come on out!" The fighting type Pokemon appeared before her. She wondered which type of Pokemon the challenger would choose. Gary smirked. "Great. You're up, Spirit!" He tossed a Pokeball in the air, and is Deerling appeared. It was time to begin! "Start off with Tackle!" He wondered exactly what the Mienfoo could do.
Spirit looked around excitedly. Another battle? He did not recognize the area. They were definitely not at Cherilli Academy. Oh well. He zeroed in on his opponent and then ran straight for him. Korrina quickly sized up the competition. That Deerling looked strong and spirited. She had a strategy, though, and she would employ it to the fullest. "Meinfoo, use Detect!" She smirked when the Deerling's Tackle did no damage. "Now Fake Out!"
Meinfoo stood her ground against the Deerling. She knew her trainer has a plan. At the last second, she put up an invisible wall, which shielded her from the Tackle. Now it was time to strike back! She darted to the left and then used Fake Out. Level: 20 Attacks: Pound, Meditate, Detect, Fake Out, Double Slap Abilities: Inner Focus, Regenerator, Reckless Hit By: Tackle Used: Detect, Fake Out Health: High Green |

Gary felt his energy rising as the battle began. He knew he had the right strategy to emerge victorious. "Prancer, Feint Attack!" He watched his opponent's reaction carefully.
Prancer ran around in a circle, nearly forgetting about the battle. <Wee!> The Meinfoo's attack knocked him off his feet. He shook his head as he slowly stood up. Okay, time to get serious. He searched for the other Pokemon and then prepared to use Feint Attack. Korrina grew excited as the battle continued. The challenger seemed pretty tough, and she could not wait to try some things out. The dark type move did not do much against her fighting type, and now it was her turn. "Double Slap!"
Meinfoo moved her head to watch the Deerling. She was struck by the attack, but it was nothing she could not handle. She made sure to remain close to her opponent, and then she attempted to slap him with her paws for as many times as possible. Gary noted the fighting type's quick and powerful moves and started to develop a plan to beat her.. "Spirit, use Leech Seed and then get out of there!" That would help a bit. Now he had to focus on evading their opponent.
Spirit followed the Meinfoo's movement with his eyes, but this caused him to become dizzy. He moved away after being struck, but the damage was already done. He stayed close to the other Pokemon and released a tiny seed. Then he ran away as fast as he could. Korrina was intrigued by her opponent's tactic. She would be sure to dish out powerful moves so it would not work. "Now get him with Pound!" She wondered when the Deerling would switch to the offensive.
Meinfoo watched the Deerling carefully. She was unable to avoid the seed that fell on her and caused vines to grow on her body. Her energy would slowly drain, so she would have to end this battle before that happened. She ran at the grass type and raised er fist to pound him. "Quick, dodge that!" Gary called out. He knew his quick Deerling would be able to evade the enemy a few times during this battle. He would use this to take the lead. "Now Feint Attack!"
Spirit zipped around the fighting type, barely dodging the Pound move. <Almost!> he chided. He grinned as he continued to run. He picked up speed while e turned to run straight at the Meinfoo this time. Then he skidded to a halt and attacked. Korrina knew she had to act quickly now that Leech Seed was in effect. She did not want to go easy on this challenger! "Now use Fake Out!" She needed to strike hard and fast.
Meinfoo was pushed back by the force of the Deerling's attack. She growled as she positioned herself correctly. Then she dashed forward in order to use Fake Out. Gary nodded in approval at Spirit. He knew he certainly had the energy for the job. "Alright, use Sand Attack followed by Double Kick!" The combination had proved successful in the past.
Spirit was absolutely startled by the fighting type's attack. He nearly froze in fear, but then he remembered his purpose there. He needed to get back to running! He dashed at his opponent, and when he got close, he skidded and sent sand flying. Then he turned and kicked with his hind legs. Korrina felt pumped up now. She loved the thrill of battle! Her quick thinking told her what do no next. "Now Double Slap! And make it a good one!"
Meinfoo shielded her face with her arms, but sand still flew up and blinded her. She did not see the Double Kick coming and grunted when the legs struck. But this was no time to give up! Still not seeing well, she tried to sense her opponent before using Double Slap. Spirit ran around the Meinfoo, successfully dodging her attack. He smiled as he continued on. This was so fun! THen he took a deep breath and shot himself at his opponent, using Feint Attack. Meinfoo flinched from the attack. She narrowed her eyes at the Deerling and focused on her next move. She jogged forward and raised her right fist to use Pound. Spirit winced as the Meinfoo slapped him repeatedly. He managed to get away after three hits. He ran around and around, building up speed. Then he headed straight for his opponent.
