OOC: This thread is for Gary and Vating's battle, and it occurs second in roleplay time. F+Gary should post first. He also has the first move.
IC: Principal sash returned to the stage when it was time for the second battle to begin. "I hope you're ready, folks," she said. "Now we have Gary from Kanto and Vating from Johto!" As she walked back to her seat, she thought about how cool it was that Johto was being represented twice in the first two battles. She hoped they could pull off a victory! |

Gary knew he would make it to the tournament once again. Whether or not he would win it was a different story. It was too bad it was now only once a year. He hoped they would increase the prize to cover the loss. When he reached the battlefield, he took out a Pokeball and released his Cyndaquil. "You're up, Stephan!" Principal Sash became worried when only one student showed up yet again. What were the chances of two forfeited matches in a row? Apparently very high. She held in a sigh as she walked to the battlefield to make the announcement. "It appears Vating is not showing up. By default, Gary is the winner!" She could only hope the next round would be more successful. |
