He sat back, rocking in the chair he was told to sit down in during the duration of his quiz. He received the necessary form, and the proctor walked out immediately afterwards. It was a nice morning. Looking outside through the window, he could see that the sky was a bright blue and not a cloud was in the sky. The grass was freshly cut, and there was a slight breeze. It was pretty cool, being accepted into this academy. All he knew about the quiz before him was that it was a personality quiz of some kind. It was peculiar, but if it was necessary to start his journey he would insure it's completion. He hoped to encounter fire Pokemon at some point during his travels. They were his favorite by far, but he was really a fan of whatever Pokemon. He knew enough about the Pokemon in Kanto, but he wasn't so sure about anywhere else. He was still learning that there other regions.
He turned his attention from the window to the ceiling. It was a lot of information to process. Rameses finally turned back to the quiz and took up the pen he had been given. He answered to the best of his ability before recapping the pen. He had been told by the proctor to head to the principal's office upon completion of his quiz. He already knew where to head, so he grabbed the form and headed out into the hallway an up to the office. After about a minute of walking, he reached where he needed to be. The door was wooden, with a frosted window that read Principal in embossed golden letters.
"Well, this is it."
Rameses knocked twice, and awaited an answer. Quiz still clenched in hand, his heart began to race a bit. He was usually pretty relaxed, but his future was beginning today. After all was said and done, he would likely let his mom know how all of this went.

His mother would probably cringe after seeing what he did next. This wasn't really how he was raised, but he was eager. So if he could not find a way, he would make one. Once more, he found himself knocking on the door. He began to murmur some expletives under his breath just in case he was around any of the staff. Why was he so impatient? He was already gracious that he had been afforded the opportunity to even be here. He made sure his knocks were heavier this time. He most often knocked lightly as a courtesy, but there were times in the past where knocks like this were not heard. He just hoped that the principal was in. After all, the proctor said to go directly there after he completed the quiz.
"Well, okay then. I'll just stand across the hall and wait."

A chilly breeze and a breath full of smoke lead the way, as Rae emerged through the doorway of the academy. He took a couple steps in before stopping. Closing his eyes, he rolled his head in either direction, causing his neck to snap, crackle and pop away the tightness and tension. He had just returned from his date with Dawn in Shupert City and though tired and longing for his bed, he needed to have a quick chat with Principal Sash.
Cracking his eyelids open, he peered ahead down the hallway. From what he could see, there was no one around, save for one person standing near the wall a ways down. Rae thought nothing of it and after another breath, he slowly began his forward stroll. He was still dressed in the same clothes he always wore. Black jeans with the legs rolled up just below his knees, his dark grey hoodie with the hood pulled up over his head and his black t-shirt underneath, which was barely seen peeking out along his collar.
The soles of his blue skater shoes squeaked quietly against the smooth floor below. He had Dawn's vulpix, Mr. Marco, to thank for them being dry... His fingers and thumbs snapped and drummed in time to some strange tune playing in his head. The three pokeballs that hung from his belt near his right hip, knocked against one another with each step and made an audible clapping sound each time their exteriors met.
His lips pursed and separated repeatedly, as he expelled air outward in a melodic whistling. The metal jewelry and rings that adorned his countless piercings jingled and jangled in stride. And, with the addition of his own nasally sound effects, he was like one big walking instrument heading down the hallway.
When he finally arrived in front of the door to the Principal's Office, he stopped suddenly and the concert ended. Peeking at the kid across the hallway, Rae gave him a curious glance, before turning his attention back to the closed door to Sash's office. Lifting his right hand, he drummed in an off-beat on the wood surface to announce his arrival. After waiting for a moment and receiving no answer, he gripped the doorknob and tried to enter anyway, as he was known for doing.
"Denied..." he breathed quietly upon finding that the door was locked. He stepped back and examined the door before him, wondering exactly how much effort it would take to bust it right open. Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he turned his shoulders and looked toward the kid across the hall once again. He noted the kid's cool orange hat with the black pokeball symbol on it and the little book bag hanging from the strap, that ran across his torso and over his shoulder. The boy looked a little young, and innocent... so Rae decided he'd have a little fun.
"Whaddaya say man? Think we could break this door down if we both put our shoulders into it?" Rae questioned jokingly, though in a serious tone. He looked from the boy, back to the door and back to the boy again, as though sizing both the kid and the door up. "I'll bet we could," he finally decided. "You in? C'mon let's give it a shot..." He said, motioning the boy over with his hand as though he were serious.
Rae had no idea who this kid was, but he could only assume he was a fellow student and that he was patiently waiting for either Princiapl Sash or Vice Principal Turner. Rae couldn't spot any pokeballs in the boy's possession on first glance, so he wondered if perhaps the kid had just arrived and was waiting to pick up his very first pokemon.
It was then that Rae noticed the piece of paper in the boy's hand and he smirked. If he had to guess, he'd put all his Pokedollars down and bet that was the personality test in his grasp. Personally, Rae hadn't given his own test much thought, but he found himself a little curious as to what sort of answers this kid might've given. After all, it was these answers that determined which three Pokemon you got to choose from...
ooc: I got permission from Rameses to join the thread until one of the Principals gets around to interacting with him and grading his quiz.

Vice Principal Turner stood next to a bookshelf, glancing at the titles, his mind trying to figure out how to organize them. From what he had already observed about them, they were just placed in random spots with no system whatsoever. Really, sometimes he wondered about Sash. He began by taking books down and placing them on the desk, careful not to mess with any stacks of organized papers on it. As he put them down one by one, he read the covers and sorted them into piles according to subject. He planned from there to place all of the groups of subjects in alphabetical order. Some people, like libraries, sorted books by author, but that was boring and very unhelpful if you didn't know the particular author but simply knew the subject you wanted to read about.
He was gathering up more books from the shelf when he heard a knock. Inwardly groaning, he decided to keep doing what he was doing because if he stopped he would forget how he was organizing it. Besides, he had lots of books in his hands and it would do no good to open the door in that manner. Whoever was behind the door could wait a moment. It was probably no one important, just a student. Sash really needed to spend some more time in the office to take care of those troublemakers. Then again, if she never left, he wouldn't be able to organize the office. He walked back over to the desk and sorted out the books as he set them down.
Once that was finished and his hands were free again, he walked to the door, thoroughly annoyed that the person had kept on knocking. He was coming. Some students really needed to learn some manners and respect. He opened the door to reveal two boys, and this caused him to frown even more. More than one students were often sent to the office because they had caused a ruckus. This was no doubt the case here as well. Sighing exasperatedly, he narrowed his eyes at them. "Let me guess. You two were sent here by a teacher for causing trouble." He loathed troublemakers. They were a nuisance and tarnished the reputation of the school in a hurry. Sash always believed in a second chance, but he wished she wouldn't. It was no use, and it harmed them more than it helped. He glowered down at the boys, waiting for a response. OOC: I am so sorry, Rameses, that it took so long for me to reply. Okay, that's fine. Thanks for doing that because I feel bad for leaving him hanging. Hehe, it's a good thing Rae was kidding about that breaking down the door thing because you don't want to know what Turner's reaction would have been...

Turner looked down at what the student who was speaking was holding. He took it out of his hands and read it more closely. So it was true; it was the personality test. He was going to have to have some talking to this proctor guy. Since when did students fill it out before they came to the office? He did not particularly mind, for it quickened the process, but he was not told of these changes. Maybe it was Sash he needed to speak with... "Come in," he said curtly, still annoyed at being interrupted during his big organization project, no matter if this boy was a troublemaker or not. He turned around and walked back into the office, ignoring Rae.
The office looked like a mess now, which greatly irked Turner, but it was only because he was trying to organize the bookshelf. Many times organizing meant making a big mess initially. It was necessary, but Turner often wished it was not. Anyways, at least it was Sash's office, so people would think she was messy and not him, which was only the truth. That was why she needed him to keep everything neat and tidy around here. It was great because they both benefited from it. He looked back down at the test and quickly read through the answers put down. After less than a couple seconds, he brought it down from his eyes and walked to the back of the room where the Pokemon were. It only took a moment for him to come back carrying three Pokeballs. "Choose one," he said as he let them all out. His tone was still unfriendly, and he watched the boy carefully, hoping he would not take too long to choose.

His eyes instantly lit up. He was finally going to be able to choose a Pokemon. Having been from the Kanto region, Rameses only really knew of one of the Pokemon choices. Growing up in Pallet Town, he had seen this particular Pokemon fly overhead every now and then. He knew this was going to be his choice. It felt right, and he really didn't know much about the others anyway. A smile now replaced the look of indifference he had before entering the room.
"Pidgey. I choose Pidgey."

Turner was glad it had only taken a moment for the student to choose. He simply nodded once and returned the others to their Pokeballs. He walked back to the storage area and carefully placed the Pokeballs in their correct spots. Backpacks were carefully stocked to the left of the Pokeballs, and he grabbed one of those. Satisfied with how easy it was to get supplies with the area organized and neat, thanks to him, he returned to the boy. "Here." He pushed the backpack into the student's hands along with the Pidgey's Pokeball. He did not bother to give any explanation as to what was inside it. "Now, you may leave, and don't come back if it's because you're in trouble," he said, giving him a stern look. Just like he had been fast in deciding his Pokemon, he hoped he would be fast in leaving. Then, he would be able to get back to his bookshelf project. "Awesome! I've got a Pidgey!"
He threw up a thumbs up, and grinned. No, he would not come back here if it was because he was in trouble. He was now surging with pride. Knowing full well that this was merely the beginning, he immediately decided it was best for him to flesh out his team. Thinking of weaknesses that he already knew Pokemon to have, Rameses decided it would be best for him to head out in search for a grass Pokemon to add to his growing party.
"Thank you sir."
He nodded, and headed out of the room and on to the beginning of his real journey.

Rae was still standing in the hall, waiting to speak with Mrs. Sash whenever Turner and the boy were done. He overheard the boy's cries from within the office and he smirked slightly. When the kid finally emerged from the office and stepped back into the hallway, Rae greeted him.
"So, you got a Pidgey huh?" He said in a devious manner, as though he were scheming something already.
Rae cracked his neck and drew in a long breath through his nostrils as he thought for a moment. After making up his mind, he looked to the kid and continued. "...You're a new student right? What's your name anyway? Mine's Rae..." He said in a friendly fashion. It wasn't entirely clear what Rae was up to, but he seemed to simply be curious as to who the boy was.

"Oh, yeah. Yes, I got a Pidgey."
He looked over to Rae. He didn't know much, and as such he would form no opinions. He was still new here, and he didn't know anyone. It was a bit peculiar that Rae was already interacting with him. He had been a new kid several times, and knew kids were always avoided for the most part. So, it just struck him as a bit weird. However, not one to be rude, he replied.
"Well Rae, I'm Rameses. Nice to meet you. Do you know of a good place to find grass-type Pokemon? I'm looking to flesh out my team as soon as possible."

Rae rubbed his chin for a moment, thinking about what this, Rameses boy had said. The boy had gotten himself a Pidgey and was already planning to head out and get in some training! Rae was impressed and considered tagging along for a moment, before remembering that he had prior obligations... He still needed to have a chat with Principal Sash about his little roommate situation and see if he couldn't get transferred to a room of his own.
After a brief pause, he finally voiced his reply. "Nah, can't help you there kid, I'm honestly a bit new to this area as well. One place you might try though, is the Pond. I was down there before and there's quite a bit of prime, grassy real estate all around there. It is still winter though and that pond is almost completely frozen over. ...You might get lucky though?" He concluded, lowering his hand away from his chin. Rae wanted to go with, but he needed to take care of this other stuff. Perhaps he'd catch up with the boy later...
"Anyway, it was nice to meet ya, but I gotta' jet. Good luck out there Rameses."
Rae then planted his hand atop the boy's orange hat and ruffled it around a bit. The kid had a certain innocence to him that reminded Rae of his younger brother. Finally stepping past the kid, Rae entered into the office and closed the door behind him.

Once the student left, Turner turned back to his project. Now, where was he? Ah, right. He proceeded to take off more books from the shelves. He was sorting them out on the desk again when he heard the door open and close with a click. At first, he thought it was Sash since no one dared to come in unless they knocked. Well, there were the troublemakers, but he wouldn't get into that. Since he thought it was Sash, he did not turn around until he finished putting down all of the books in his arms. When he did turn around and saw Rae, he frowned. Right. Him. He had been outside along with the new student. This one did not appear to be a new student; he could always tell if someone was new. "Are you the one in trouble?" he asked, not very pleased at being interrupted for the second time. He wanted to get the bookshelf done before the next day.

Upon saying farewell to Rameses and entering the Principal's Office, Rae came face to face with Vice Principal Turner. It was their first real encounter since Rae's arrival at the Academy and the smoker instantly felt the tension in the air.
His eyes roamed the room, noticing the large mess of books that Turner had piled on Sash's desk. He lifted an eyebrow, wondering what on earth he was doing and where the heck Principal Sash was? Looking around, Rae suddenly realized that neither Sash, nor her Pokemon pal were around. Which meant... Turner must be in charge.
Sensing the obvious annoyance and impatience that the Vice Principal had for him and any other student, Rae decided he'd do best to leave, quickly. As he turned back to the door and grasped the knob, he realized how lucky he was that he hadn't seriously thought of breaking the door down. Turner would surely have disapproved and Rae's time at Cherilli Academy may very well have come to an abrupt end.
Thankfully, he had resisted and there had been no harm done. Besides, he could always talk to Principal Sash later, whenever she got back from, wherever she was. It wasn't that big of a deal. It just meant Rae would have to try his best to tolerate his nightmare of a roommate for a little while longer. "Hah! Silly me! This isn't the bathroom!" Exclaimed Rae, in an effort to give some made up explanation as to why he was in the office. He then shot a quick glance toward the Vice Principal, before quickly opening the door and slipping out into the hallway.
Closing the door behind him, he breathed a heavy sigh of relief. He felt like he had just been in the dragon's den and was thankful he had made it out alive. Small beads of sweat rolled down from his hairline and he sniffed himself, causing his face to scrunch up from the smell. He was about due for a shower, that was for sure. However, the thought of the kid from before, Rameses; made him think twice.
He had seen the fire in the kid's eyes and his desire to begin training his pokemon at once! Rae admired the boy's determination and he felt suddenly inspired and motivated to do some training of his own... The only question now was, where would he go?
