"Dodge that and jump to use Bite!" Nate called out. He did not know if his Shinx would be able to do it, but it was worth a shot. Very soon, one of the two Pokemon would stand victorious.
Chelsea panted form all the work she had been doing. She knew this was no time to give up! She ran as soon as the Seel started to attack. She slipped on the water on the floor, but this allowed her to easily dodge the ice shards. She pushed herself up and bounded towards her opponent, intending to strike.  Level: 20 Attacks: Tackle, Leer, Charge, Baby-Doll Eyes, Spark, Bite Abilities: Rivalry, Intimidate, Guts Hit By: Used: Bite (3/3) Health: Red/Low Red |

Penelope glared at the Shinx as she got away. That was not good at all! The Seel tried to dodge as well, but she was too slow. The Shinx crashed into her, managing to Bite her skin. Se finally gave into defeat, fainting in the spot.
Kiki watched sadly as the battle finally came to an end. She did not feel too bad though. She had fought her hardest and came close to winning when she was at a disadvantage. "Thanks, Penelope. Take a long rest." She returned her to her Pokeball and then looked across the field at Nate. "Nice work. That was a good battle."  Level: 18 Attacks: Headbutt, Growl, Water Sport, Icy Wind, Encore, Ice Shard Abilities: Thick Fat, Hydration, Ice Body Hit By: Bite Used: Health: --- |

Principal Sash enjoyed the battle immensely. It was not often that a trainer chose to use a Pokemon at a clear disadvantage. The Seel did lose in the end, but the results had been a lot closer than she had expected. She applauded with the crowd as she stood up and walked onto the battlefield. "What a magnificent battle! Nate from Sinnoh will be moving onto the next round." Shinx has gained two levels.
Seel has gained one level. |

Nate watched his Shinx proudly walk back to him. He bent down and pet her head. "Great job, girl." He glanced at Kiki. "Thanks. It was." He had enjoyed it and learned a lot. He smiled as Principal Sash recognized him. He was really going onto the next round! Just as he was about to recall Chelsea, she started to glow. OOC: Chelsea is evolving. |

Nate grinned at Chelsea. "Congratulations!" He stroked her head, and she purred. Now they were ready to take their training to the next level. With a nod to Kiki, he left the area with his new Luxio. |

Kiki smiled as she watched the Shinx evolve. Even though she lost, it was good to see what had come out of the battle. True experience came from battling a worthy opponent. Also, observing battles could be effective. She planned to watch the final round and take in more experience. She turned and left the area. For now, it was time to rest. |
