Unexpected delays [quiz/Finished]

Vice Principal Turner was sitting at the desk, drinking some tea while filling out some paperwork. It was the beginning of the semester, which meant there were many new students, which meant there was lots of paperwork to be done. Sash was out doing other Principal errands, so that left him to fill out the papers and such. He was glad he had done a lot of organizing the few days before; it made it a lot easier to file away the papers he finished as well as keep his mind at ease while he worked on them. The only thing he had on his plate was paperwork, and that kept his stress down.

He heard a knock and, right on cue, his Lairon Spike went bounding towards the door as fast as his little legs and heavy self would carry him. Sighing, Turner stood up and followed him. He never liked to be interrupted, especially by troublemakers or new students, but he supposed it was much better to be interrupted doing paperwork than organizing. He opened the door to reveal a girl. He had heard what she said before he opened it, so he assumed she was new. Well, she did not look like a troublemaker, so it could be worse. That did not mean he would be friendly, however.

"Come in. I am Vice Principal Turner," he said gruffly after he had taken the quiz from her. He glanced down at it to read it quickly as he walked to the back of the room. The faster this was done, the better. Choosing three Pokemon was easy; he just grabbed the first three that came to mind. That was the best way to go about it, for there were way too many to bother questioning whether it was the right one or not. When he had all three Pokeballs, he carried them over to the girl and released them. "Choose one of these."

Spike smiled up at Art. <Hello!> He followed her when she walked in the room and stayed by her side while his trainer got the Pokemon choices for her. <This will be exciting,> he said, meaning her seeing her options and choosing. He hoped she got a good one.

Turner was surprised at how quickly the girl chose her Pokemon. It was much faster than any of the other new students he had to deal with in the past. This one was not so bad after all. As soon as she had made her choice, he raised the two Pokeballs and aimed them at the remaining two Pokemon. Without a word, he retreated back to the storage area and placed the Pokeballs carefully away. He carried a backpack with him to the new student and held it out to her along with the Emolga's Pokeball. "Here." With any luck, she would be the only student of the day and he would be able to get that paperwork done. He wouldn't hold his breath, though. Still, he had to admit this had been a pretty painless interaction.

Spike's smile grew bigger when Art spoke back to him. He was glad she was excited. He eagerly waited while she spoke to each Pokemon. It was very nice of her to say those nice things to the two she did not choose. He could tell that she was a very nice person, and she would probably be a very good trainer. <Good luck!> he said once she had everything she needed. He hoped they would see each other again someday.
