The system searched its files for another opponent. It settled on a rock type, figuring it would give the vulpix a bit of a challenge. After a moment, an amaura began to take form. Its shrill cry greeted the poisoned vulpix and her trainer. As its programming dictated, it waited upon the trainer to make the first move. However, its ability activated and the training simulation adjusted accordingly, false hail stones beginning to fall. Species: amaura Type: rock/ice Level: 7 Attacks: growl, powder snow, thunder wave Abilities: refrigerate, snow warning (⅕) Hit by: -- Used: -- Health: high green |

"Oh, um I don't know that pokemon." Walter said as he saw the new pokemon appear. Quickly he grabbed his pokedex and scanned the pokemon. 'Amaura, the rock ice pokemon. This ancient Pokémon was restored from part of its body that had been frozen in ice for over 100 million years.'
Listening to this both trainer and pokemon looked at each other before looking at the Dino pokemon. "Pardon the pun but that is pretty coo- ow!" The teen started to say cool when hail began to fall. "Drat! Okay Kitten lets make this as ow, quick as possible. Ow. Use ow, Ember!" Walter called out, and the fire pokemon moved forward before opening it's mouth and sending flames towards the other pokemon. Species: Vulpix Type: Fire Level: 7 Attacks: Ember, Tail Whip, Roar Abilities: Flash Fire, Drought Hit by: Hail Used: Ember Health: Green (poisoned) |

If the video system could understand what a pun was, it might have been glad Walter’s had been cut off. Most people didn’t appreciate a good pun; robots probably weren’t an exception. Shame, really. At any rate, the amaura stood and took the ember as it was focused upon figuring out the most efficient method of attacking the vulpix. The simulation recoiled a bit at the ember, icy exterior hurt more than its rocky core. It couldn’t use its thunder wave, so it settled on powder snow. Soft but plentiful chilled flakes were sent towards the vulpix. It wasn't that the powder snow that hit Kitten was very effective, no as an ice move hitting a fire pokemon it did very little damage, but it was a mixture of the hail hitting her and the fact that she was still poisoned that did damage. Walter watched all of this and sighed. He took a mental note of needing to go buy something to heal poison but for now he had nothing that could help that. "You'll be alright Kitten shake it off and use ember." The teen called out and the Vulpix did just that. She was feeling woozy, and had shaky paws, her back also hurt from the falling hail, but she managed to move forward and let out a ember towards the computer pokemon. The amaura took the ember, still completely calm. It growled and used another powder snow, almost reflexively using thunder wave until its programming registered that such a move would be, for now, completely useless. Species: amaura Type: rock/ice Level: 7 Attacks: growl, powder snow, thunder wave Abilities: refrigerate, snow warning (⅗) Hit by: ember Used: powder snow, growl Health: high yellow ooc: in battle, poisoning does not end until the pokemon is fainted. outside of battle, it continues until the affected pokemon is on its last bit of health. as for in roleplay rules, i suppose sash or sammy would be better to establish this by. i’m going to go by game canon, though. |

This battle was interesting, but he wasn't sure how much longer Kitten could hold up. He was sure that the poison would probably be the thing to do her in. Even with the hail falling, which in itself did damage as well. "Just hang in there and dodge." Walter called out and where as Kitten ducked and dodged the powdered snow she hadn't be able to get out of the way of the hail, or the growl. Great. Walter thought. "Use Tail whip and Ember!" He told her and the fox turned whipping her tail at the coded pokemon before turning around and spitting an ember at it. The amaura tilted its head at the tail whip, feelings its programmed defenses fall in accordance. Waiting for the new calculated defenses to register, it was hit by the ember. It cranked out a single growl this time. Yes, this was going well. Well sort of if the stupid hail would just stop. Anyways seeing the attacks land, Walter was happy with how things where going. At the growl he looked at Kitten who seemed to have been effected by it. "Hey shake it off Kitten, use ember again give it all you got." He called out as the pokemon then ran at the other pokemon made up of code. She took some damage from the hail, but still she was hanging in there as she took a deep breath and attempted to get as closer as she possibly could. Watching the fire pokemon get up in the other's face he couldn't help but think she was trying to get inches from it's face which was what she was trying to do. Hopefully that worked as she opened up her mouth and spat a big mouthful of fire towards it. It seems the ember this time was critical. The artificial amaura even reacted to it, wincing its fake little eyes and screwing up its little digital mouth. It promptly returned fire at the vulpix with a barrage of powdery snow. After a moment, the amaura glowed red. It had been burned! The last of the hail rained down. This was close. Walter could see Kitten was becoming really tired and due to being so close to the other he knew she would be unable to get out of the way from the attack. As it hit the fox pulled away, but the ice move really did little damage to her, not really a lot to truly notice, but yet with the hail hitting her on the back the damage was noted. "One more time use ember!" Walter called. He knew this would be the last attack, for if she missed or if the computer dodged surely Kitten will faint next turn. So, they had to make it count now.
The tired Vulpix opened her month one more time and spat little fire balls out at the rock ice type. Perhaps they should have just used roar to end the battle and find a new pokemon to fight, but oh well. Win or lose they learned quiet a bit here. Thankfully though the hail finally stopped. If the computer understood the desperation of the living, it might have been moved to compassion. The struggle presented by humanity and pokemon alike was beautiful as a fleeting steam of breath in a winter night. As it was, though, the program merely stayed on course. The embers hit. The amaura fainted. Species: amaura Type: rock/ice Level: 7 Attacks: growl, powder snow, thunder wave Abilities: refrigerate, snow warning Hit by: ember Used: -- Health: low red (fainted)

"Yes!" Walter said in a sigh as he saw the ember land and the pokemon faint. Looking at Kitten he could give her another potion and they could press on, but that poison. He was unsure how much longer she could stay like that, and decided not to risk it. Instead he would take her to get healed up, buy some stuff and after some rest maybe they would go out tonight to see if they can find another pokemon for their team. However, for now Walter removed his helmet, then removed Kittens. The Vulpix looked at him before she stumbled. "Alright Kitten return." He said gently as he recalled her to her pokeball. Cleaning up, he wiped down the stuff he and his pokemon had used, before grabbing his own stuff and leaving.
