He'd rather make enemies. Under this thick layer of toughness, though, is a hurting soul who wants a friend he can count on. He is a sweetheart underneath, but he keeps it very well concealed.
History: This Riolu used to have a trainer who he worked with and was very devoted to. They trained hard, and he thought they would always be together. However, this trainer became so obsessed with strength and power that he began pushing the Riolu harder than he wanted. He became harsh towards him and treated him like a tool to win battles and become strong himself. After a while, his trainer told him that he was useless and worthless and that he would never be strong enough. A few days later, though, he began to act nice to him again and brought him to a nice forest where he said they were going to take a walk in. However, when the Riolu wasn't looking, his trainer left him and never returned. He lived on his own for a bit, and he had a couple of other trainers catch him. They always ended up the same, though. They treated him harshly and pushed him hard, using him only for battling with little interest in being his friend. They always left him, saying he was useless. He travels everywhere now, believing all trainers are the same and desiring to never have another one again.
