Professors Kagirinai's Pokemon Study
My name is Professor Kagirinai of course this is not my real name or appearance but for now my identity will remain a secret.
This blog is here to work as a scientific diary to record my analysis of surrounding pokemon. I will carefully watch different pokemon and take note of certain mannerisms they have as well as carefully study them and document what I see here. I will often change my studies depending on new discoveries I make. If you have a pokemon you would like me to study simply post on my blog and I will do my best.
Todays Pokemon of study is the Pokemon Munchlax
I noticed this particular Munchlax in the forest outside of Shupert City. I took the time to sit and watch this big eater Pokemon and jotted down many notes. This particular Pokemon utilised its large body to run and slam into trees using its large mass to make the tree shake. I took note that berries would drop from the tree every time the Munchlax slammed into the bark. The Munchlax had come to realise by using its large size it could rush trees and hit them with enough force to shake the tree and make the berries drop to the ground. My guess is it has evolved to use this large size as a form of not only defence but as a way to scavenge for food.
Once it had secured its berries instead of consuming them it made a small carrying object out of leaves, it seems this Pokemon has developed the intelligence to utilise tools. Using this strange carrying tool it picked up the berries and moved them to a new location. I flowed close behind keeping my distance. The normal Pokemon arrived at a large fallen log most likely its home of residence where it placed the berries into a rock like formation designed to store its bounty. When the Munchlax left I took a small look around noting that the Rock formation had been made by the Pokemon as a form of storage. The Munchlax had even set up a stone slab covered in leaves as a bed of some sort. Further in the log was a hole in the room where a small drip of water fell through landing into a pale of some shape made out of leaves.
What also astonished me was that by the bed was an assortment of tools. Analysing these items with a careful eye I noted the first was a shovel. The shovel had been made using a long think branch and a rock that had a large head and a shorter end allowing the short end to be tied to the branch with vines. The large heat of the stone was smooth and flat. The next item was a stone bowl an grinder and from the contents of the bowl it was used for grinding herbs and nuts.
Documenting this Munchlax's nature one can assume that Pokemon have a ingenuity of their own as this Pokemon found the use of making tools. These tools then seem to have been applied in the Pokemon's everyday life. Is this a new form of evolution we are seeing? I will continue to study this creature until next entry Professor Kagirinai signing out.
